Many of the passengers were unfortunately not wearing their seatbelt and were either asleep or just chilling when it happened suddenly...The pilot even had no time to inform them to put their seatbelts on

Many injured passengers were thrown from their seats
One important lesson, once i lace up, the only time i undo my seatbelt is either when I am about to use the loo or when we have touched down. I never find a reason to undo the seatbelt otherwise.

I was at the bank today but did not bother taking cash (they will give me 10k). I just stopped by at a PoS and quietly collected the sum I needed and moved on. I mostly transact using card or transfer, abroad has structured my head on that when I almost slept on the street, till my cab man found a hotel in East London that collected cash. I stopped depending on cash payments/transaction

Anything less than 100k makes no sense... You cannot keep drowning Nigerians in poverty and expect the common man to find his way.

A 50kg bag of rice is over 70k in the market, let's not even talk of gas, rent, electricity, transportation, clothing and personal needs, cos these people expect you to live under the bridge and trek to work daily...
I saw a video some days ago on youtube where housing constructions under the bridge in Lagos was going for N250k per annum. So under bridge is no longer free oo
Politics › Re: Fubara Wins As Court Nullifies Amendment Of LG Law By Pro-wike Lawmakers by hardbody: 4:48pm On May 21, 2024
Ofunaofu:
The Rivers State High Court has invalidated the amended Local Government Law proposed by the Martins Amaewhule faction of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The ruling was delivered in a suit numbered PHC/1320/CS/2024, which challenged the extension of tenure for LG chairmen for six months after the expiration of their term.

Justice D.G. Kio, presiding over the case, declared the amendment invalid, citing its inconsistency with the 1999 Constitution and Section 9(1) of the Rivers State Local Government law No. 5 of 2018.

The court emphasized that the applicable law governing the tenure of local government chairmen and councillors is the Rivers State Local Government Law No. 5 of 2018, which stipulates a three-year tenure.

The attempt to extend their tenure through the enactment of the Local Government Law No. 2 of 2024 was deemed unlawful and contrary to their oath of office.

The ruling marks a victory for Enyiada Cookey-Gam and six others who challenged the extension, asserting the primacy of constitutional principles in governance.

My own dey very simple. They killed igbos for three years for attempting self determination. They have continued to kill them till date. The world said nothing. The world did nothing. Today it is Israel and Hamas on the one side and Russia and Ukraine on the other side, guess what? Their problem, not mine. Everyone will get a fair share of injustice, one way or another.

People saying they are donated as cadavers or buried by the government. What happens to the corpse of people like Ken Saro-Wiwa?

This question I think is situational and depends on the calibre of personality involved.

In my opinion, I think bodies of dead prison inmates are released to the families if they are reachable except otherwise.
I will prefer a verifiable source and authority not personal opinion. It is new knowledge for me. Is there a law?

jesusjnr2020:
Why My Target Is No Longer To Make Heaven

It's because I'm have found something much better, bigger, and greater.

Though my initial target used to be heaven because the last thing I wanted to do was to end up in hell.

But when I began to walk with God and got to know Him, I was like, whathuh?

Are you kidding mehuh?

Is this what I have been missing all this whilehuh?

To be honest, I wished I had gotten to know God much much earlier, and if possible all through my whole life, because God is the best thing that I had ever known and the best thing that had ever happened to me, past, present and even future.

And that is not flattery by any means, infact it's a huge understatement, as mere words cannot even describe Him. He's just too good to be true.

I began to see why those that truly got to know God in the past, wouldn't trade Him or His place in their lives for anything else in this world, but would do or give anything just to keep Him, because God just too much, walahi! So once you really got a taste of Him, you'd never want to let Him go, as you become hooked for life, and just can't get enough of Him.

So despite that God wasn't my original target, having come to know Him, He's won over my heart, soul and mind, that my target is now to please Him and be as close to His heart as possible.

That's why my target is no longer heaven, but He who dwells in it.

And this has been my target for over 2 decades now and still counting.

To God be the glory!
I never targeted heaven. He said he made the earth as his footstool for humans to dwell in it forever. They will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. We gather dey here.

You have failed abroad bro.

No, I don't have visa issues, i came into London on Saturday and stayed at Bethnal Green (Cambridge Heath Road) and came back this morning via Virgin Atlantic that touched down at 4.50am. My point is, if you are abroad and planning to relocate, you failed. Some of us have no plans of relocation, we have sunk strong tap root here, irrespective of who is on the saddle. For those of you that japa-ed, either make it work or saunter back in shame from gross failure.
