headworld: TEN (10) Things a Man MUST Have Before 40.I had all those and more way back in time. I have always been ready to meet opportunity and exploit it. However, a nice thread forthose who are yet to put their acts together. |
imperiouxx: Wat! Nasarawa don turn to Hollywood. 20 askari, 10 SSS lost just in a day? Those people set a record. Soon people will start crying baga, baga again.... Sebi na one soldier life in baga, soldiers exchanged for 180+ lives. May be this will cost the whole town and it's environs. Let's wait and see.Guy your calculation is wrong. A 100 police men and more cannot equal 1 military man. so nothing of that sort will happen. To the average policeman life is cheap and they use the same parametre to gauge their own lives too. So If you like, kill all policemen or nearly all, the remaining ones will only scamper for safety. They are not loyal to their cause and call. |
ezeuba: How can one start to lend any credence to this story when the writer cannot get his grammar right... makes my eyes water to read this junk... try, just try and justify the money your benefactors must have spent on your education...I am all for good grammatical construction, but i do not see the relationship between veracity of a story and the grammatical content. Has he passed a message, to my mind, YES. Has he communicated?, to my mind YES. His bad 'written' grammar is secondary. |
Sincere 9gerian: The Op is probably right because I just heard a similar news report on Channelstv. But the difference is that Channels reported that about 20 police officers died in the incident. But why is the police so vulnerable?Sad to say they are this vulnerable because of a number of reasons: 1. They are ill-trained and ill-equipped 2. They are very conscious of the N20 that they are always collecting and in that process they have stopped being vigilant and alert to signals within and outside their environment 3. The average policeman is so corrupt that their conscience has become seared and burnt. They can kill for no reason and have severally killed for no justifiable reason. If they see you with a substantial sum of money, they will kill you and take the money and brand you a robber. Nemesis does not joke at all. 4. Because of their criminal tendencies, majority of Nigerians are continually on a daily basis wishing them evil. Remember vox populei vox dei (The voice of the people is the voice of God) There are several other reasons why they will remain vulnerable, but let me stop at these four (4). |
alexchiny: Correction sir! Fajuyi didn't die protecting Ironsi. He was earmarked for death for allegedly supporting the Nzeogwu led coup. Get your facts right. Thanks Bro. Until now i had consciously believed that Fajuyi died protecting Ironsi. I will however need to review this your position to ascertain the corect position. My finding will determine my further relationship with our brothers (and sisters) from the West. |
I did not know there were humans still living in that part of the country. And by the way, what are police men stil doing in an already lawless enclave? what peace are they providing or who are they protecting? It is sad and unfortunate that some hapless people will fall victim of this blood thirsty vagabonds but in truth, what will any sane person be doing in Borno, Maiduguri or any of those Northern states or regions. Even if i were to be a son of the soil, i will go on self exile never to return until whatever the issues are resolved. Living in that part of the country amounts to awaiting an uncertain death which will almost invariably come, it is just about when it will happen. I sypmathize with the bereaved, not the dead. |
Did i read that the masquerade died? Masquerades are supposed to be spirits, they do not die, no body ever kills a spirit. Please stop misinforming us. |
Tolexander: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/05/biafran-soldiers-protest-in-ibadan/To all the S/W and S/Southerners, i say to you all 'Good Morning this Evening'. (Apologies to Ojukwu addressing Ken Saro Wiwa on his (Ken's) sudden realization that he should have supported the course of Biafran Sovereignty). |
ceeceeco: No mata hw smart a woman seems 2 b, she can neva out smart me...neva.Dumbest comment made here today. Women are smart bro, believe me. I pride myself as being smart but honestly women are also smart, some in a very terrible way. Just pray that it does not occur to them to outsmart you, they have an uncanny ability at doing things their own way. |
She is just there, nothing out of the ordinary. As for the contact lenses, it doesnt add to her beauty, it only goes to show she is partially deformed in the eyes. (Just like me by the way) I however like Klint. |
Chibuhealth: who cares for ur money if at all u ar not a keke driver....come i will feed u....stop braginMe i am not a keke driver (sic) but i will appreciate an extension of the offer you extended to him. Na from feeding me, we go begin feed ourselves, Lolz |
ActiveMan: @op YOU HAVE CLICK A LINK SOMEWHERE AND HACKERS HAS BEEN ABLE TO GET INTO YOUR ACCOUNT, THE BANK WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR THIS, CHECK THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS YOU SIGN WHEN YOU APPLY FOR THE ONLINE BANKING...I tend to agree with you. All my transactions are done online and honestly because of the projects I am handling presently, I have upwards of a million in each of the accounts. I make my transfers and no one has been hacking into my account. Infact they are always sending phishing messages for me to update my details but I am aware that my bankers GTB and First Bank will never request for an update online and with my Token, I am very assured that nothing will happen. |
......and so they died....... |
how rude of him. at least give a speech or note before leaving...how can he disrespect his staff like that.
They are all used to his brash attitude. I was once there and I can tell you. He is not orthodox or a decent gentlemen, he is best described as crude. |
adaobi123: Curriculum studies (CS) is a concentration within curriculum and instruction concerned with understanding curricula as an active force of human educational experience. You should not have bothered to explain, now I have migraine and no where closer to understanding it than I was before you commenced your rigmarole |
Calling a person's opinion warped and stupid is downright wrong. If you value formal education and someone else doesn't, it doesn't give you the right to be condescending on the person. And yes there are lots of people without formal education that are successful. If education is all that why did Dr. Sid study dentistry only to end up a musician? A lot of people are not practising what they learnt in school so that poster does have a point. Education isn't having a paper to show for it; it should reflect in all aspects of your life.
I have noticed you, meaning you have achieved your desire, can I move to more important things? Truth is the fact an opinion is right or wrong does not mean it cannot be warped. I implore you to re-read the post I responded to, perhaps paste it and then juxtapose same with my response to then understand my perception. The point I responded to was more of the sarcasm and has nothing to do with a like or dislike of formal education, neither is it a given that people must practice what they studied. Having said these, I do agree that the essence of education must be functional and impact in your every day life. |
I know what we used to call it back in the Uni days, but I don't know what my oga at the top will make of that name, I don't want to state one name and get banned, my oga atbthe top knows the name....Data all...... |
tspun: guys stop foolin around, we have being there and back i dont see any big tin in sku.if dropping out of sku makes them happy i see notin wrong with it. After all not all graduate are happy with d condition they find their self. They saw wat is comin their way n probably they thought completin their education will delay their quest. I know if u had d oppurtunity u will do the same.No one is hating on you, you are either a drop out or a potential drop out waiting in the wings. I wish you the very best in your terribly warped perception, which by the way, you are stupidly entitled to. The only people I have pity for are your parents and kids if they ever come |
I thought those Governors that went to see him in London said all was well with him. RIP to the Dead!
They went to confirm that he will die. And if they said all was well with him, it is because, 'you are lonely' when you are dead''and the dead tell no tales'. I hope he is stil alive though, i wish no man death. |
Akshow: Abasi! This polithiefcians no fear God o. Will that modaphucker governor tell me that a penny from the govt treasuries has never entered his pocket? The issue here is not that many Nigerians are not aware of the existence of these scenic beauties, its just a mentality thing. I told a colleague i was going to the Calabar cultural festival in december and will from there explore Northern Cross River and then go up to Obudu Cattle Ranch. After calculating the costs, he told me it is cheaper to go to SA or better still go to the UK. And his reason? It is more prestigious to say i travelled abroad than i was in Nigeria touring locations. I shook my head in disbelief and reminded him that it was not new to me travelling out, but i needed to know a lot more of my country and also plan on doing some African countries in months to come. Sadly, we do not appreciate what we have, we only beam our searchlight on the negative sides and escalate every issue that is not palatable thus making it sound as if we are the only nation that is backward. Granted there is corruption, avarice, cupidity, unwholesome dirty environments, but so also you have them elsewhere in various dimensions and sizes, when we start appreciating our own, the rest of the world will respect us some more. |
bandiejay:Your position came across as a bit shallow. There are interesting places to visit in Nigeria. Ever heard about the Calabar carnival, Obudu Cattle ranch and indeed the Azumini blue beaches amongst others. It is this attitude of writing off everything Nigerian that creates the disincentive for the average Nigerian to spend vacation either here in Nigeria or oter destinations in the African continent. I hold my personal views about vacations abroad, if my visits abroad bother on job related issues, i have no issues with those, but i take time to plan out my vacation within this continent of ours, and i have had a few including Nigeria. I have never been a fan of holidaying abroad and the reasons go beyond affordability as people working with me at much lower levels convenieintly afford to take those trips yearly, some even twice or more. |
dericardos88: how do these guys sleepBy lying down and closing their eyes. How else will they sleep? |
Lol Nigerian Mandela ![]() For those nlers crying old pix.....abeg post the recent ones lol.
I just came back from Aba (yesterday) and i drove through the long stretch of road that runs through to join Port Harcourt Road from Abayi after Osisioma, my dear, the road has been fixed. I couldnt take pictures because my Ipad was behind my seat and there was no traffic to allow me time pick up the Pad. Infact a stretch that i would normally have spent between 45minutes to 2 hours, i did in under 5 minutes, and i had to wait for the guy i needed to pick stuff from because i had estimated it was gonna take long to beat the usual traffic that hitherto used to snarl on that road. Now, i am not a fan of TA Orji or any Nigerian Governor for that matter, but let us be frank in our analysis, those pics about Aba must be very old, I have a clear idea of what those roads looked like as at yesterday Sunday April 28, 2013. I drove through some of them. Also the dump site on Port Harcourt on the express (Osisioma) has since been cleared and a garden or a park is being constructed with the entire portion fenced in. |
omanzo02: Look at this liar, to prove u wrong, from Heerlen in Holland to Aachen is 2 lanes, from Arlon in Belgium thru Luxembourg to Trier & further to Karlsruhe and Mannheim are 2 lane, from Stuttgart thru Baden-Baden to Switzerland is 2 lanes, from Dortmund to Leipzig are 2 lanes, from Eindhoven in Holland thru Essen to Berlin are 2 lanes, where u find 3 or 4 lanes are hillBros you wicked no be small, how dey disgrace Pataki like this now? Sorry am abeg. For him mind, all of us dey farm for villa. God catch am |
nahinbdis: It is 691 DAYS since GEJ was sworn for his 1st term as President. He has faced some of the worst form of distractions (boko haram insurgency, hostile and vitriolic attacks from the Opposition et al) in Nigerian Presidential History, yet it is gradually becoming clearer that this President stands a chance of writing his name on the positive side of Nigeria’s history books.Bros i drove on this road last week saturday and drove back on Monday (I couldn't get a flight and needed to get home very urgently and not used to public transport). Yes you are correct to some extent but we were diverted slightly before Benin to do one way with on coming vehicles because work was in progress on a short stretch. THat diversion happened again while on my return trip. However, generally speaking, the road is now a thing of joy to ply. The notorious Ore traffic will not be there again, it wasnt there when i drove through and leaving lagos at 6.30 am driving all alone, i was driving through Onitsha at about 11am and got to my Villa (Arochukwu) at 3pm. It was a marvel. |

If they wanna stop malpractice, it starts from them but I think this news is false... Because i know somebody dat registered for literature, bible knowledge and commerce but she was given physics, chemistry and maths, so they had to give her ordinary qweshon papers dat's not hers but contain her right subjects combination, it happened to alot of ppl and there's also some one else dat his qweshon paper was not among the ones brought, they also gave him ordinary papers, so wat will happen to those ones
