neey1051: The Holy Spirit and God the FatherVery dumb response. The bible that you are quoting does not even support trinity |
Lanrefahm: another question, we all know GOD is the one charge of all things dat angels cant do what he does and is very powerful my question is this, u claim dat jesus is GOD and he died 4 three days so whenhe died 4 three days who was in chargeJesus is not the Almighty God, he is the Son of God. In the Bible, Jesus prayed to his father. When he was coming of the water after baptism, his father called him my son in whom I am well pleased. When he was about to die after his earthly ministry, he kept praying to his father and requested that the cup should pass over him. Your question, religiously speaking is a no brainer. |
bebe2: i didnt know the best way to structure the subject jareReview your post, you will find the answer to your question therein. If however you seek an opinion, I am not opinionated on this. |
Kulas: Lets all be sincere in making comments. For me,Keshi is very wrong.Truly many Nigerians including me have seen that Yobo is depreciating going by his poor performance in the last AFCON and young players like Kenneth Omeruo and others performed far more than him and are no doubts a good replacement for Yobo.I agreed.Again,i see it that Keshi is finding it difficult to tell Yobo openly to go and rest,ie that he is no longer needed in the SE.He would have summon courage as a man and told him in a respectful way that he is no longer needed as he has found competence replacement for him which i believe most Nigerians will support him(Keshi) because we all see that Omeruo and co are far better than Yobo.If keshi had done it in this mature way,it would have given much respect to Yobo considering his position as Captain of the team.Like i said,i support that Yobo retire from SE,but let it be done with respect and not in a disgraceful way.Perhaps you are right. However, Zobo could also have helped himself manage that respect by not joining issues with his coach. When your boss wants to show that you are inconsequential, what you do is prove yourself. He should just have gone on to play very well for his team, let the question now be, Keshi, why are you not inviting Yobo. At that point, if he invites Yobo and if i were to be Yobo, i will turn down the offer (and make a loud noise about the fact that i turned down the invite) and thereafter retire from the National team. My views... |
payless: You are very stu.pid. Why must one lie when it comes to declaring their age? Have you read how John Obi Mikel was ridiculed last year at Chelsea training base on his birthday. After he was presented a cake, it was John Terry who asked him if he was truely 24 or just his footbal age. It seems you must have been lieing your way too. When Nigerian get caught lieing in western countries, it affects every other Nigerian abroad. So many Nigerians giving us bad names. Enough!Did you just call me stvpid? Perhaps you are right. I dont bandy insults. It would be preferable if you made a logical point, i usually bow to superior argument not to invectives. When you have reviewed your manners, we can talk. Have a good evening. |
gerald09: Tot official numbers were suppose to be for official cars. Nigeria: A place where tins literary neva works as planned. But there must be a plan first, is there? Meanwhile this is Kingsway Road, immediately before that chinese restaurant off Glover Road (on your way to Falomo) |
ladeski: 1. rebuttal to point 1. work tools which should be used at work. YOU HAVE NOT BEEN EMPLOYED YET !!!!!!!I give up on you. You cannot make an impression on a set concrete. |
Congratulations on your job but you answering your email on your IPAD to show you have another job did not get it for you. So using that as an excuse to have your ipad with you. . .makes no sense!!!!! THAT IS MY POINT!!!!!!!!
I hate it when people refuse to argue logically on point being discussed. Let me state categorically that my views, which i stubbornly maintain remains: 1. My pad, tablet, phones are all work tools 2. If i am attending interviews or going anywhere else for that matter, i carry those tools. 3. To the extent i am at the lobby or reception area, i will take my calls and do whatever i need to do on the pad. 4. Once i go into the panel or one-on-one interview, i will neither pick my calls nor open the pad, it is discouteous. 5. It is the height of unseriousness to pick questions or information from the pad,tab or pc in the course of the interview session except you are specifically required to do so by the panel 6. If i were interviewing for a junior position and had those gadgets, i will still apply Nos 1- 5. To me it is standard. And this is Nigeria. My uncle told me he was refused an interview he had already been invited for when they saw him reading a copy of the NY times he picked up at the lobby of his potential employers and this was in the united states. You guys out there may have different standards. I hope i have made my points clear. |
Forgot to add - To Mr. I want my prospective employer to know I have a job already that's why I took my ipad to reply my emails. Let's say the prospective employer does know you currently have a job, do you think it works in your favor? Think again my friend. . . 1) If they want someone who can start immediately, then you are out of the running because prospective employer will put into the consideration the days/weeks notice you'll have to give your current employer. 2) If you tell them you can start immediately, they will be hesitant about hiring someone who can just jump ship without notice. Either way, you've screwed yourself!!!!! Lesson - KEEP YOUR IPAD/LAPTOP/PC/NOTEBOOK AT HOME!!!!!
Funny i even just saw this. Please look up, I got the job. Your brain must be very tiny. You must be a fresher. I have been holding down jobs for ages and my CV says that much, if you are not willing to wait out my next motice period and you want me badly, we could either agree that i pay in lieu of notice and join you or you make that payment for me to come over. THis later option was even given to me but i made a point that at my level, it is only proper that i give the rquisite one month notice. They appreciated my professionalism. It meant to them that if i had to move on, i will take those factors into consideration. Please madam, i am not one high school kid, i work at senior management level, i hope you take that consideration in your next response |
Except your prospective boss knew you were replying work emails, your post makes no darn sense. NONE AT ALL!!!!!!!!! Word!!!!!! I can't believe he actually thought he had a point to make with that epistle. Applicants are dime a dozen, the jobs aren't. Not saying became a slave to prospective employers but a little humility and COMMON SENSE goes a long way. People forget that interviews are most about assessing the applicant in person. They have already seen your resume now they want to see the person behind that resume and like any other interpersonal interaction first impressions matter. As soon as he entered that interview room with his laptop. . .there is no doubt in my mind the first thing that flashed in their minds was ARROGANCE and that was the end of it right there. Is it any wonder he is still pounding the pavement looking for work? I tell ya, someone summed it succinctly with the words OVER SABI!!!
Ok Ma. My post makes no darn sense. I hate to join issues with people with over bloated sense of knowledge, ego or importance. Since you know it all and we must all cower to your wisdom, so be it. For avoidance of doubt, i got a call from the HR of that company a short while ago to come for my offer letter, i will go for that letter but may very likely turn down the offer. I have since dug up more information and there is a whole lot of incompatibility between their work ethics and mine.Point is, jobs may be in short supply, but if you know your onion and with God on your side, employers of labour should not play god on your rights to employment. Recall, i had my pad and was working on it before i entered for all the sessions. And recall also that for you, i have made no darned sense. Good day. |
coldgate: Oga, get a Lawyer. Even if you had taken a loan, there are procedures to be followed. No one expects you to pay without documets evidencing your debt. Naija Banks are funny sha. Before your lawyer writes to them, throw in a cheque which they will very probably bounce, that will form part of the damages you will asking for when you get to court |
berem: I need one badly! All those yeye men who mistakenly touch my bobbie in a public bus and okada men who intentionally hold their brakes to feel the touch of my bobbie on their backs go hear am!Should the biker be shocked, na you go turn to wedge for ground and in the event you emit electric current in a public bus, dem fit use stick knack and kill you, better switch it off when you are in a public place |
Interestingly, this very minute, my Governance and Establishment Committee is having a final interview with a prospective CFO, we just finished a Committee meeting, but the guy is placing his iPad and 2 telephones on the desk, taking and answering questions from the 3 directors. So what are we talking about? |
hardbody: All the responses here are funny. In recent times, I just attended a set of interviews where I had met like 8different senior people and went on to meet the Chairman of the group. At every point of the way, I had my iPad with me and while waiting to be called up into the chat sessions, I took my time to look up mails from my office and actually respond on an ongoing basis. For me, my prospective employer should know he is not otherwise doing me a favor.I hold another job where I keep adding value and I expect them to take that into consideration in negotiating with me. Taking a tab or pad to meetings is not a big deal, it's a basic work tool and should not be an issue. Of course it will be rude to open the pad or tab once the interview is in session. ![]() |

exxell: On topic; Ebonyi people, when will you guys change? Can anything good come out of that place for once? If it is not killing each other brutally today and hang their head on stakes, it is about kidnapping an innocent citizen that came to serve her fatherland! On a more serious note, I am a full blooded Igbo; Nwa Anambra for that matter, but this is the only Igbo state that I will always doubt their Igbo ancestry. They do things entirely differently like they were thrown down from Jupiter! This is not about a hate speech but about being realistic. If you deal with an Mbaise man, Arondizuogu man, Ebonyi Man, Nsukka man or Abiriba Man, You will definitely understand that there are IGBOS and then there are Igbos! My advice to Nigerians in general; though its good to apply caution when dealing with a fellow Nigerian due to the state of the nation, I will advice you to raise the danger level to red when dealing with the above named group of people from Igbo land. I am versatile and I travel a lot due to engagements. So it is not about hear say or rumours. I have done business with all of them! They dont even mind using a cutlass to disect you in broad daylight. A word is enough for the wise! Mind you, I AM IGBO TO THE CORE. AM JUST BEING REALISTIC AND HONEST.So to your mind, realism is picking a whole set of people and classifying them in negative terms. I have travelled widely too and probably dealt with a lot more of igbos than you. I can state categorically that you do not have bad Igbos, Yorubas or Hausas, you only have bad individuals. Much as we pour invectives on the Yorubas, remember a certain yoruba military man sacrificed his life when they wanted to kill Aguiyi Ironsi in his domain, I am sure you will find decent people in all tribes and people in the country, there are only individuals who are bad. I treat people on a personal basis and dont adjuge a tribe or group of people as being bad. (Nairaland e-wars excepted) |

payless: That means he graduated from secondary school in 1989 at the age of 13. LMAOKeep calculating his age while he is creaming out on bucks. Point of correction, it is SUV 'assembled' by INNOSON Motors not 'Made'. Meanwhile, i think the exterior looks good, but that does not tell me how sturdy the SUV is. I am aware you know there are categories of SUVs, some are glorified 'higher' cars and do not have capabilities of withstanding the ruggedness usually associated with SUVs. Having said that, i am impressed at your enthusiasm in both posting this, working to make the pic clear and defending your position stoutly. Which brings me to the next question, do u like sell for them or work there? Just an innocent question## |
tomzman: I see no use of the ncsdc in the first place. They are only striving to remain relevant. I remember a day, I visited one of their camps in Ogun state. I was shocked to see these people (all in uniforms)loitering about doing nothing in the morning. The funniest part was that a group among them were busy conducting a 'service', singing, and holding prayer sessions when a reasonable worker should be at his duty post. It was really an irritating sight. I wonder what the country would be like having those people instead of the police.Seriously, are they on a salary? |
Policewoman: Being a cop, I don't think NSCDC should replace the police, instead the 2 bodies should be merged. So you will corrupt them and have a larger corrupt ridden force. I reject your thoughts in the mighty name of Jesus |
