Subsidybad21: Ogun state with a tax to gdp ratio of less than 4%.
Plus, do those industries you boast of export , and how many people are setting up industries vs 'business '
Your state won't surivive without oil money, and you know it. I assume you have not been to ogun state, this is practical not theory bro........ come around and see for yourself, I understand your point that many state depend wholly on oil money which has make every state to always depend on it for the day to day running and also make them weak when challenges affect the federal allocation but never the less, try to contact anyone, around ogun state you will be wow |
Travel › Re: This is not Dubai, this is kano state (photos) by harjay1986: 6:32pm On Mar 21, 2021 |
Subsidybad21: I honestly doubt your state would suruvuve without federal allocation
First, most states have low tax to gdp ratio
Second, most states don't produce enough stuff for export, raw materials, or manufactured goods.
The problem with you Nigerians is that you are stuck in the 1960's. The world has moved on from that stuff. Before we can respect any state in Nigeria,it has to be a productive and exporter of manufactured goods. Not fighting over oil.
Your state is just like the Northern states, a parasitic oil dependent state. Even me that comes from an oil state...I think it is high time we forgot about oil too, and got manufacturing. More money, less economic suffering.
(And don't blame the Hausas for your underdevelopment by the way. ) hello , for your information, the state with highest industry in Nigeria today is still Ogun state , with good IGR too, forget abt media propaganda, why would I blame hausa for things happening in my state, thats why I say u should research befor saying all state... even during the lockdown my state IGR is second to Lagos, so say something else bro... would you say Lagos state will be a shadow of itself if federal do gragra, ......... if today Nigeria split which is not forthcoming soon, many state will bleed I agree.... some state self will be force to merge if federal government could withhold fed allocation, to the north tell me how many state will survive for 2 month, |

Subsidybad21: And your state too is among the parasites, especially since it does not produce oil
Besides, all Nigerian states are as unproductive as kano. You guys won't focus your energy on producing goods for export, you all want to fight for oil money so that you can import and import and import.
Before you call Kano parasitic...and you are right to do so....your state too is also parasitic. Go and focus on your state's unproductiveness. Same for Kano. You Nigerians love fighting over oil money, but to produce car or television, you no wan do. do your research before quoting all state in Nigeria depend on fed allocation, if federal government withhold the allocation I know my state will pay and even borrow som state money, and some state will be turn to local goverment |

There's an underpass through the flyover that links directly to the accident and emergency ward of the major hospital nearby. The YWC have nothing to do with 2023. Tinubu may be interested in 2023. That doesn't stop the resolution of the majority of Yorubas. We aware that there are people that are afraid of Tinubu's ambition. Some even said they prefer death to his Presidency.

Crime › Re: Kalu: Trace Bandits' Funding Sources Same Way You Did With EndSARS Protesters by harjay1986: 8:03am On Mar 19, 2021 |
Subsidybad21: Not here to defend government or to defend bandits or Buhari
But let's be honest, tracing Bandits money is not going to be that easy
For starters, ENDSARS protest leaders used the banks and opened accounts in their name or accounts linked to them. That enabled authorites to trace them with ease.Because they left a paper trail. They even left account details for donations on line....making it easier for everyone including DSS and other government agents to trace them
As for your average bandit....I doubt they use the normal banking system. If anything, they probably keep their money outside of it. Some savvy kidnappers have been reported to use bitcoin, but on the whole bandits probably don't use the banks to keep their money.
Most bandits get money this way...ask the person delivering ransom to drop a bag of money in a remote location. No cops, or else. Not 'transfer money via a bank account'...easy to catch, especially in this era of BVN.
Or if they did, I suspect they have a series of varied fronts, and prolly don't register the accounts in their names.
Once you don't leave a paper trail, the work of the police in tracing you becomes harder. wait a minute you mean once a group of people get kidnap, and they demand let say 300million naira, someone will now go to bank withdraw the money, put it in a bag and drop it off, somewhere, , I understand the bitcoin own but if truly the government want to clampdown on banditry, they know what to do, even if you dont leave any paper trail, if such situation come up why cant i go and print fake currency and drop it for them in the bush when I know no one is goin to count it immediatelly.... Goverment have shares on the ransome thats why banditry is a juicy offer |

Queenlovely: I was at Transamadi Portharcourt when these young men approached me and started preaching about NeoLife,
I listened intently to them, they said a job was slavery, that it was a temporal solution to a long term problem.
They said Jobs means Just over broke
They were inspiring, they had sweet tongues and almost bought me over.
The point of the story is that, you will never be free working for somebody, Salary is a bribe to forget your own dream.
Even if you are paid a million naira it won't still solve your problems, once you make 100k, you will have 200k problems.
If you make 1 million you will have 2 million naira problem.
Your child cannot inherit your job,
create jobs rather than coming here to compare jobs it depend on the amount you earn as salary, you cant say a full staff of chevron or Total, dont earn good, thats apart, the industry you are into will determine if it will make you rish or not |

Dantedasz: The Nigerian economy is deliberately built on monopoly. The Federal ministry of Finance deliberately create monopolies to benefit their cronies and acolytes in order to create immediate billionaires. The modus operandi is to skew the production and importation of goods in favour of their friends through tax/ duty waivers. A bag of cement costs anything between N3,700 and N4,200 because the government through the Finance ministry has created an uneven environment in which a group of monopolistic individuals have succeeded in having a vice like stangle hold on the necks of all builders and customers. The same monopolistic environment is being prepared in the petroleum industry where the government of the day has deliberately left its four oil refineries to go to the dogs while maliciously allowing an individual to build a monopolistic refinery at Lekki. When the Lekki refinery comes into play the price of petroleum products especially petrol will shoot through the roof the same way this individual has maliciously raised the price of cement. The petrol situation is just a deja vu waiting to happen! thank yu sir, they increase the tax per bag close to 2000 naira and you still want the product to be cheap |
