Need I remind you that the same OBJ's regime built the national mosque. He made sure both religions have national worship centres, for a balance.

OBJ will be the last man to be criticised for religious or ethnic bigotry. He says the truth, though it sometimes hurts.
The mosque was built by Shehu Shagari.

The insecurity in the country is getting worse at an alarming rate. Northern Nigeria is even more disadvantaged; they're doomed. From Boko Haram to herdsmen, to banditry, to drugs, now tribalism.

Stories.

Arabs are narcissists, chauvinistic bigots, etc. Whether you are Nigerian oh, abi Ghanaian you're seen as inferior. They're some of the most intolerant people on planet earth but you'd see them in western countries crying discrimination. Did you know the stadium in Qatar for the world cup is being built with slave labour? However you put it, it's still slavery.

you are wrong, they are losing support already. Read the story again.
I never indicated otherwise. If the current president is able to redeem the wasted opportunities of the ANC, I don't see why the majority will vote for any other party.

DA? White dominated. Many Black's won't support them. Apartheid survivors are still around in their numbers.

EFF? Radical and somewhat insincere.

Who was expecting otherwise?

As it stands, no existing party would be able to unseat the ANC for some time to come.

All hail Amaechi. All hail Buhari. I live around the railway corner, I see Amaechi more than I see my next door neighbor. He is always inspecting.

Politics is investment, you invest your votes and you reap infrastructure and appointments. South-West gave Buhari 60% votes n 2015 and 55% votes in 2019. Now we are reaping our investment. The North gave Buhari 70% votes in 2015 and 75% in 2019. The North is reaping its investment. South-South and South-East gave Buhari about 5% votes in 2015 and 2019. The SS and SE too are reaping their investment.
Some people really don't have sense in this life.

This is why Nairaland needs a dislike/downvote option. People need to know the extent of their foolishness. It helps.

Comparing Rivers State to Rwanda is kind of baseless.

You can as well compare Nigeria to Rwanda. Nigeria surpasses Rwanda in almost every economic indices. Where quality of living is concerned, we always fall flat.

Don't mind them. Those yeye blacks keep blaming whites for their own problem.. Black south Africans wey lazy like mumu.

Blacks generally are not good leaders. Over 60 years after independence, blacks are still blaming whites for their own problem. Asians were in similar situations with blacks many years ago, yet Asians were able to solve their problems.. While blacks are stilll blaming whites..

No be whites sey make we no dey produce anything.
Princedapace:

I do not support the notion that south African blacks are lazy, but ur country will be destroyed if solely managed by blacks bro

Look at Zimbabwe.. Any policy that will make whites uncomfortable in that coubtry will destroy ur country..

Blacks don't have any good history of leadership. Zimbabwe used to be a great country economically, but look at it now after that unpopular land policy.
This one has short memory; contradicting himself upandown.

You're obviously not educated on the subject. Stop repeating what you've have heard from your white masters o ye honourable slave and get yourself informed.

I can't say which is the worst, but these are equally notable. In no particular order:

• The holocaust.

•The Armenia genocide.

•The American-Filipino war.

•The Australian genocide.

•The Atlantic slave trade.

•The Rwandan genocide.

•The Guatemala war ( genocide literally)

Notable mentions:

The English-Boer war.

You mean bad roads? Majority of the roads within the city are in good condition though. But if they should come to Ph, movement would be restricted to day time and the centres.

Politics / Re: Someone Should Tell Me The Truth Of The Civil War In Nigeria, Please by HarryDuce(m): 9:57pm On May 03, 2019
•The Nigerian/Biafran war was fought mostly over oil. Denying this is just like the denial tactics of the Southern US that the American civil war was not fought over slavery.

•Nigeria -as at then - did not care about the minorities of the south: they were concerned with the oil.

•The wickedness of the Biafran soldiers towards the minorities made them support the Nigerian Govt. fully. Yes there were atrocities on both sides, but the Biafran soldiers were carrying out large scale atrocities on the people that were supposed to be fighting with them. Denying this makes the denier appear f0olish.

•The Northerners have a herd mentality. It was very easy to provoke them into a fit of rage. Had the affected parties been placated by the perpetrators of the coup, (the death of one of their own and the killing of Igbos and minorities) a lot of negativity would have been averted.

•The westerners had a lot to gain from a united Nigeria (obviously). Make no mistakes though, they were and still are the most tribalistic among the top ethnic groups; It affected their choices and not their love for Nigeria ( telling me not everyone was/is tribalistic is pointless; it should be obvious not everyone was/is).

•For the minorities, there are no permanent enemies. They align with whomever can push their needs to the forefront at a particular time. They aligned with the FG in 1967.

• The most populous ethnic groups were/are alike in their quest to exploit each other and minorities. None is more important than the other.

•As it stands now, we're stuck together. There's no pulling us apart.

panafrican:

What European powers were concerned about in Africa was Hitler taking away from them their African cake, they did not care about African people's fate.
Europeans themselves were committing genocide in their African colonies before Hitler came to power.
One could even say that WW2 German soldiers had more discipline than British colonial army when we take into account the large scale of rape Kenyan women were the victims of during British colonial rule.
What about the Namibian genocide?

Politics / Re: Middle Class In Nigeria- Is It Still In Existence? by HarryDuce(m): 11:16pm On May 02, 2019
Teewhy2:

That is true, if you look at the buying power of most of these people( "rich" ) and compare it with their counterparts abroad you will see that maybe the only rich people are not more than 2 percent while the others are glorified middle class, and out of these 2%, 1.5% are actually politicians or head of government parastatals.
True, but I'm not wholly keen on comparisons with wealthier countries though; they're obviously wealthier in many relevant aspects and standard/cost of living vary. For someone to build a house (a duplex) and buy at least a car and 10million naira in his/her bank account, many people would consider such a person rich. But even by Nigerian standards, 10 million naira with a house and car(s) is not really "rich" enough and would be upper middle class. You can look at it as upper middle class and lower middle class.
