Tequilah: And he would have run those ones aground too, after stripping Ondo State of her assets. Thank God he never smelt the seat of state governor... Thank God he didn't get there. I think he has made about 2-3 attempts at governorship and I won't be surprised if he's still nursing the ambition. His managerial skills and business acumen= zero! How will his companies flourish when its glaring that his MDs work in fear. Smh. I blame the banks that still "fund" his company. By now, jimoh and any company he is associated with should be blacklisted. None of his "mergers and acquisitions" should be funded or underwritten by any bank. Which is the reason he needs to be an officially disqualified company director for life and barred from any managerial position in any company. |

stagger: The whole lecture was a drama in motion. First, I do not understand why the entire event was transmitted. One thing is clear: Jimoh Ibrahim is a very arrogant man. His testimony before the House Aviation committee showed it, and today confirmed it. See the way he was handling the whole event like a headmaster talking to his boys. His MDs and DMDs were obviously cowering in fear. I mean, look at the way he would just hand over a microphone to one of his boys, and when one starts to talk rubbish he would just grab the mic and start laughing hoarsely.
You could tell who was the emperor and who were the serfs. I was simply flabbergasted, especially by his boasts of how he was untouchable, how he would stop any human being who tries to put roadblocks on his business, how he was using examples of Buhari and Jonathan as if he was talking about his boys, etc.
I tire o! Jimoh na ogbologbo jazz man. That explains why he's allowed to get away with so many things. A man like him should be a disqualified company director for life and barred from acquiring any company for life. Every company he touches, he ruins and bankrupts while enriching himself in the process and he walks away with their assets. |

stuffs4me: Jimoh Ibrahim cannot claim not to know the Newswatch workers had not been paid for up to 13months.
He has always been using the same scam techniques. You can check how he destroyed the following companies with his leprous hands and sent thousands into unemployment.
1. Air Nigeria 2. Energy 3.Nicon insurance 4. Newswatch You forgot to mention Nicon Airline. In sane countries, jimoh will be in jail languishing away. There's also Global Fleet O & G. I trust he has ruined that one too. I remember when the company began trading and he used brand new branded cars to entrap his work force and "package" the company as a legit one. |

What that man is doing is nothing but BULLYING.
No bank not even the old generation banks will accept such.
You need to summon courage and escalate this issue. Either to your zonal head or HR.
He doesn't own the bank and he has no right to insult or abuse you.
The funny thing is that careers of men like that do not end well.
I won't be surprised if there's some under cover fraud going on. Hence the reason for his hostility. |

kaboninc: No be today na. These banks - FCMB and Fidelity Bank are the most BDC friendly banks. So they are always committing.
But truly, the CBN is trying their best. The introduction of bvn alone is a step in the right direction. Next is to do a full scale audit on the owners of all accounts.
If you see the number of shell companies for fronts, you just won't believe it. But we have the most monitored banking industry in the world. But bankers will always find a way. Haha. I beg to disagree at bolded. Yes, I'm aware of the high number of shell companies. I never knew FCMB and fidelity were that notorious and yes, you are right - bankers will always find a way. |

kaboninc: Money laundering? No. But sanction breaches? Yes.
Last year, Fidelity Bank was heavily fined that the shareholders warned the management. Also First Bank and UBA were fined for breaches in non remittance of TSA. The banks are always sanctioned even though they try to hide it from their books
On money laundering, FCMB and Fidelity Bank were suspended and I think fined (not sure though) Yes, I read about the TSA fines but I'm just hearing for the first time that CBN took action against FCMB and Fidelity. If the regulators play their part effectively with the banks kept on their toes by not just on-boarding any customer that knocks on their door and also carrying out a review of existing customers and exiting all the dodgy ones, I think it will reduce the level of corruption seen in nigeria. |

Get him teething rings. See attached picture. I put mine in the freezer and then I give my baby to chew it and he likes it. My baby has been teething since he's been 3 months +. However, no poo or fever. He just drools and he obviously has itchy gums. I do use teething powder or gel about one or twice a week (when I remember) as I'm more comfortable with the teething rings.

Open their doors to these PEPs take the cash without proper identification and documentation, conduct business with the money most investing in guaranteed investments and pay whatever stipend maybe imposed as fine.
Happens everywhere - Citibank, HSBC, Credit Swiss... Agreed. However, it's no longer BAU as regulators have been slapping offenders with record breaking fines. BNP Paribas almost lost its US banking license about two years ago. I'm yet to read or hear about CBN fining any bank over lax money laundering controls or confirmed money laundering or sanction breaches. |

@ seunmsg , Emefiele of Diezani's 20bn USD zenith is not the sanction type, they are all complicit. My darling Ebun is doing great. Constantly attached to my chest doing what he knows how to do best I'm yet to read of any bank fully implicated in this Dasuki gate scandal. By now, all associated banks should have been named and severely fined and sanctioned. Heads should have rolled by now - CEOs forced to step down, the Heads of their respective Risk departments replaced, etc. I do not know why Buhari is stressing himself with the MTN fine. He should face Nigerian banks. The fines that can be realised from them is enough to balance his budget. If FCA can fine "mere" GTB UK, over half a million pounds and they are still actively/successfully trading, replicating such fines (and higher) with Nigerian domiciled banks will not cause a dent in their business activities or stop them from paying crazy bonuses to all their key principal staff. |

seunmsg: This is an overkill, absolutely unnecessary. They can investigate without necessarily trying to smear the name of the bank. CBN is the most guilty financial institution in the entire #Dasukigate and EFCC has not even deemed it fit to invite the CBN governor or any other staffs of the bank.
GTB and all other erring banks should be investigated and sanctioned if necessary but smearing their business reputation in such a. Manner is unprofessional of EFCC. This nonsense can seriously affect the goodwill of the bank. EFCC hasn't smeared their name and there's nothing unprofessional about it. There was a documentary on TV few days ago from the National Crime Agency (UK's equivalent of EFCC) where Barclays Bank, UK was named as the bank that was used to launder £44m ( 44 million pounds) in raw cash by a drug cartel. The name of the bank, the branches were the deposits were made and even CCTV footage of criminals making the deposits in the banks were all exposed and shown on primetime TV. @modath You are right. The Nigerian banking system needs a complete overhaul. Imagine ghost companies with no verifiable trading activity having account turnover in billions yet the bank looks away. Smh. It's disgraceful and shocking. These companies don't even go through any means to hide their money laundering acts, yet the banks look away. |

Pls mamas helpppppp- so we don't over buy as FTM - pls how many pieces/pack of the listed should one buy?
Bodysuit- newborn Sleep suit-newborn Diaper- newborn
Pls experience mamas offer advice It's advisable not to buy anything labelled "newborn". Stick to sizes 0-3 months. Sleep suit - 6 (babies will wear an average 2 of them a day - one after morning bath, the second after nighttime bath). Body suit - 6 (you can buy 3 short sleeve and 3 long sleeve) You might get some as christening gifts so it's best to wait till after christening before you buy more. Diapers - at least 3 - 4 packs (if you are buying size 1. Babies can use size 1 till about 2 months ) |

Kimoni: let me say something strange...
In UK, the midwives and nutritionists actually advice that we stop giving cerelac to babies ;
According to them, it contains mere calories and it's better used during starvation when a child is not able to feed well
According to them, If 5 babies walk through the door, they are able to identify which baby is on cerelac cuz such babies are usually big which we Africans equate to good living. #not necessarily. Again, they say it triggers diabetes at a later date. Tufiakwa. But dunno how true this is.
So my dear Modath, me I no dey give cerelac oooo. At 6 months, my young chap weighed 8.5kg coming from 3.1kg birth weight oo he had bursted the weight chart and I was advised to look for a gym that accepts 6 months old. Na that gym I still dey look for since that time oo
What they advise is exactly what nurse Kaffy is doing - delay solids till 6 months when he is fully ready. At that point, introduce him to real food but in mashed or paste form, from there, he graduates to full solid. However, the breast milk/formula should continue but of course, quantity would reduce from 6 months when solid is introduced.
***(caveat) i am not saying mamas should not use cerelac ooo, just regurgitating what the medical team told me. I have purposely refrained from talking about it before now make Nestle no come arrest me. Kimoni. Please do you mind sharing the meals you introduced to your baby after 6 months. What you posted is exactly what my health visitor advised. I have a book from my health visitor on advisable list of food after 6 months, et al but it will be great having practical ideas from you. Thanks. |

igb400: Good morning mama's....i just gave birth via C-section a week ago and am suffering from gas badly, I don't have appetite so the major thing I take is tea. Could it be d milk causing it? Also my baby refuses to burp and it's making her very gassy and fussy. Am even thing of changing her milk from Nan to aptamil if it will help. D only time she poops well is if I press her tummy wit warm water. Am just confused jare. Switch to aptamil. It's about the best formula in the market. Are you breastfeeding as well? Please try and breastfeed so matter how short. I know it's painful with the CS scar but try. That way you can adopt "combination feeding" (breast milk and formula). You shouldn't make the milk for your baby too "thick". I always go one scoop less than what's recommended on the label and it has worked well for my baby. - no constipation or any tummy issues. For example, if it's 6scoops recommended on the pack for 200ml, I use 5 scoops. Regarding gas - try and get Trebor or any sweet with mint. It really helps. You should try and eat. Experiment with anything - vegetables, fish, oats and even the dreaded pap. Are you taking pepper soup? If yes, you might have to cut down a bit. Spicy food also causes bloating and gas. I can relate to the pains and discomfort from CS. Pele dear. Don't worry, it's only a phase and it will pass. |
