Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by helpee(m): 1:22pm On May 12, 2019
Hello house. I am a complete novice. i was using a 3.5kva inverter before. The four batteries got flat and i am planning to upgrade to solar. The quotation i got is for different solutions.
1 SOLAR LIGHTNING...This is just to power about 33 bulbs
He said he will bring 33 solar bulbs, 6 solar panels, 2 controllers, 2 200ah batteries.
This package cost 500k.
2 SOLAR FAN PACKAGE= he will bring 9 solar fans, 3 batteries 100ah, 3 solar panels, 1 controller. This package cost 480k
3 A package for just two TVS and one computer= 3 solar panels, 1 controller, 2 batteries 150ah, one inverter 1.2kva.
This package cost 300k. total is one million, two hundrend and eighty thousand.
The package appears interesting to me because different solutions are controlling the light, the fans and the TV so all cant go down at once but i dont know wether the package is a good idea . He promised that we can even go off the grid for the fans, light and tv and then use generator when we want or PHCN for freezers etc.

The NUC is empowered by law to lay down Minimum Academic Standards (MAS) for universities in the Federation and to accredit their degrees programmes. This led to the preparation, with the use of experts, of the Minimum Academic Standards for the 13 disciplines taught in Nigerian Universities in 1989. The disciplines are; Administration, Agriculture, Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Education, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Law, Medicine and Dentistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sciences, Social Sciences and Veterinary Medicine.
in addition .....this is the latest about ekiti state medical school which has been running without accreditation and so...no graduation. Leave internet....it is not everything you see on google

let me reply you for the last time. NUC only gives the university the go ahead to start medical school and that is where their accreditation ends. That is why you see many medical schools running for 15yrs without accreditation and without their students graduating. Like Ekiti state medical school has been running for years without accreditation from medical council so no graduation. MDCN must do accreditation for part 1 MBBS, part two part 3 and part 4 before you can even write exams not to talk of graduating. They insist on the number of lecturers they want, the facilities, the curriculum. So, stop assuming you know by pulling a redundant document from the internet. Medicine is not studied online. You go to medical school.

I like it when people who never went to standard
schools assume the disfucntion they went through was norm.

It's like saying because lectures are asking for sex before you get marks or forcing students to come to school on Easter day is the norm

The NUC has a set standard for the number of hours each activity is supposed to take, meeting and passing a minimum qualifies you. These are the basis for accreditation.

If your senior registrar or consultant tells you to come at times outside of your normal rotation it does not mean they or you are right.

Please go to a standard school for your post grad. You've obviously been abused by a wrong system and now you have Stockholm syndrome, hence defending them up and down.
Pele. In simple terms, teach us how to calculate GP. And for your information, NUC don't set curriculum for medicine. They are not even responsible for accreditation of medical schools. It is medical and dental council. Until you are humble enough to admit you are delving into uncharted waters that you know exactly nothing about, you will keep fooling yourself

See where you display crass ignorance

Most universities require you to undergo a minimum of 150 credits before graduation.

ALL pre and clinical courses are university weighted and count towards your final degree before the university says...s/he has met ALL the requirements (including character) to be awarded such and such degree.

Just because you saw 70 as your score only does not mean the univeristy doesn't know or counts it as A or 60 as B.
simple question....based on Nigeria University system , how do you calculate GP without knowing the course unit? Just tell us and stop embarrassing yourself. We told you medicine is not graded you are rumbling. Medical courses has no credits attached to them except in 100level. So it is not graded. Get that into your head and stop displaying your ignorance here

There's a difference between grading and degree classification. If it's not graded you won't know who passed or not. It simple English.

That it is unclassified does not mean a CGPA is not being computed for you.

Your final degree is unclassified but you get graded from 100 to 600 level.

That's how their school runs, it been for decades and best students have been awarded accordingly.

It applies to all courses in the Bermuda triangle...pharmacy , vet and human medicine
We don't use CGPA in medicine. They don't compute it

I guess they should stubbornly build their own hospitals and employ JW doctors, nurses, staff...so that they won't keep suing for suing sake
There is a well celebrated case that happened to a Jehovah witness doctor in ikeja. A woman needed transfusion. An adult. She refused since she was a Jehovah's witness. The first doctor who is not a witness referred. The husband now took her to a Jehovah's witness doctor. Being a member of their sect, he agreed not to tranfuse and the woman died. Now the siblings of the woman(not the husband) now sued the Jehovah's witness doctor that HE DIDNT TRANSFUSE NOT BECAUSE THE WOMAN IS A WITNESS BUT BECAUSE THE DOCTOR IS A WITNESS THEREFORE USING HIS FAITH TO KILL THE WOMAN. The argument was, if the doctor had not been a witness, he wouldn't have agreed not to transfuse if so his faith rather than the faith of the patient was the determining factor. Medical council revoked the license of the doctor. He went to appeal court. It was upheld. He later went to supreme Court where it was held that since the woman had earlier rejected the transfusion with a doctor that was not a witness, she would have rejected it with a doctor of her faith too had it been the Jehovah's witness doctor offered it too. The mistake the Jehovah's witness doctor made was that...being a witness...HE DIDNT GET A WRITTEN CONSENT FROM THEM THAT HE OFFERED THEM BLOOD BUT THEY REFUSED so there was no evidence he offered them. So it was believed that despite knowing the patient needed, he refused to offer them since HE WAS A WITNESS NOT BECAUSE THE PATIENT WAS A WITNESS. Bottom line is this, a doctor must be experienced in dealing with these people. Some of them will beg you behind that doctor, once my Jehovah's family leave, give my wife blood but don't let anyone know. Just make him sign and carry on

My dear, you are not making much sense. You don't appreciate the significance of a supreme court rulling. I didn't say the JW won't drag people to court anymore; I am saying that no court will entertain such cases. Of course you will be heard, but the case will be thrown off for lack of merit. That is if monetary awards are not giving against you for wasting the time of the courts and the defendants.
you are funny. Court will entertain any case regardless of judicial precedence. They may follow precedence when delivering judgement but the case can still take another 20yrs before supreme Court will even have chance to reaffirm it's judgement. And no two cases are exactly similar so the lawyers will always capitalize on the little difference to say the case is different from the one supreme Court earlier decided on. Most people assume court is straightforward, get there first and you will understand when the lawyers start twisting Cases. It is never worth it

NB...what are we even saying. You have agreed with me by saying they will be heard. So that solves it. They will be heard...and it maybe in another 22yrs before the case will be decided again during which you will be spending money, time and putting your practice under avoidable scrutiny. While I am not saying the supreme won't help if you have such cases, I am so sure no experienced doctor in private practice without the support of a giant like Chevron will try to be playing heroism by insisting on blood transfusion when the parent are saying no. Take their consent and refer. Nobody will blame you. It is done Everytime in private practice

and your license might be withdrew and a good lawyer will sue you base on the law of precedent that is now a law provided that another third party was ready to pay the bill but you were following parent advise.
you don't know anything about medicine. A doctor has right to reject patient too and refer to another place. And maybe you didn't read well....they needed a court injuction first before transfusion. There are several judicial precedence concerning Jehovah's witnesses... no doctor is obliged to transfuse if the parent insist unless you just want to....nobody can sue you if you refer the baby and take informed consent.
HealthRe: You Can't Deny A Child Healthcare Because Of Your Religious Beliefs - Court by helpee(m): 9:29am On Apr 23, 2019
MaziOmenuko:
You don't understand the premise of this rulling. A supreme court ruling is as good as a constitution, binding to everyone. So when next such a case happens, the hospital involved will just proceed on administrating the blood to the child, with this rulling as a backup. No lower court will entertain another complaint from any JW parents since the supreme court has decided on this already.
lies. Supreme Court judgement can be interpreted anyhow by court. This is just a judicial precedence meaning it can only help your case if you are in court for a similar case but it won't prevent you from being sued. And remember, Jehovah witness is a stubborn set. Even if the case is straight forward, they will still take you to court for transfusing their sect members and will still pursue the case to the supreme Court. Wether you win or not is Immaterial, the stress, the money and the time and the emotional trauma that you will pass through will be too much . Moreso, remember the baby didn't die yet they took them to court. Imagine after transfusion the baby still dies.... creating another scenario. They will now say even with the blood the baby died.... meaning the blood was not necessarily what would save the baby etc. There are too many scenarios in law and medical practice, a doctor should play safe and smart so they won't use you as a scapegoat

This ruling should now be publicized such that all Hospitals know what to do.
Hahaha....it only worked because it was Chevron hospital. The doctors had to inform the commissioner of police. The police had to quickly go to court to get exparte order before transfusion. Don't forget the parent won't pay for the blood. Now the aftermath....they were in court for 22yrs. How many such cases do you want to do before you die? Remember the parent we're not the one sponsoring the case... it is the religious sect. Bottom line is this....no single private hospital will take such risk. If Jehovah witness want to kill their children by refusing blood....I will gladly oblige them after counseling than going to court for 22yrs

I got married recently, I am probably much younger than you are, I was practically in your shoes .
I wouldn't want to give to much details, because privacy is important, but I would say this :
No matter what happens, stand your ground, there is only so much resistance a father can give no matter how strict he is or thinks he is .
I didn't give her belle, I married her because she was a gem I couldn't afford to lose. The kind of girl you only see in fairy tales .
If your wife to be is that kind of girl, don't lose her because of your father's decision. You would regret it for the rest of your life. Just be sure she is worth the fight, if she is. STAND YOUR GROUND.You are a man .

Try and find diplomatic ways to resolve it, pray also a whole lot, you have no idea how much prayers can move mountains.Every man has a weak point, find your father's weak point and use it against him, play the fool if you have to and at the end of the day the end goal is getting your wife.

If the drama gets too much she might leave you, trust me, women don't like too much drama no matter how much they love you, especially in this case when she has been with you this long.

If your father is still "doing strong head", please go to your in-laws collect the list and pay her dowry . You already said they trust you. She is marrying you and not your father, from what you said, its not like he doesn't like the girl, he just wants to be stubborn. But I know he would come around, find his weak point and use it against him and win him over, that's what I did.

Don't suffer a life time of regret losing the love of your life because you couldn't stand up to your father. This is one of of your first tests of being a true man. Please pass it

UPDATE : Since you are Christian consider this bible passage. I reminded myself of it almost everyday :
The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. Prov 21 VS 1
Make sure you and bae pray and fast fervently together. No battle is insurmountable as long as the person no be God, there is a solution.
You got married recently so you don't even know the kind of wife you see in fairytale. Ninety percent of marriages are like heaven on Earth the first year. You can only tell us your experience after at least 10yrs . I wish you marital bliss though but it is too early to know wether your wife was indeed worth the fight

However, every case is different. I have good travel history. I have the finances. Strangely, I involved my entire family of five....including my last two children with no travel history in VISA APPLICATION TO ITALY THIS JANUARY AND WAS DENIED!!! I Already paid 4000 dollars for the cruise. I submitted cruise documents, marriage certificate, NPC for children, my business account and my personal account to fund the trip. I didn't submit any income document for my wife. Apart from myself and my wife, the others submitted virgin passport.
So I decided to APPEAL.
For Italy, you need a lawyer. The lawyer collected 1000 euro and if we win, the govt of Italy will likely be ordered by the court to pay our legal fees up to 3000 euro so the lawyer said we are going to split it to two if we win the appeal. After paying , we did power of attorney and legalise it. The lawyer the Italian embassy use in Nigeria collected 150k to do the power of attorney, translation cost about 20k, the legalisation at the embassy cost another 60k and we sent it to Italy via EMS with another 19k. So it is expensive to appeal. We filed the appeal finally in February and the ministry of foreign affairs responded to the case....they said we were denied because MY WIFE DIDNT SUBMIT ANY INCOME ETC.
The lawyer requested for a lot of documents including my properties and pictures of my business and even tax documents.
Anyway, we had the hearing yesterday and the judge fixed Monday for judgement. Although, the lawyer is of the opinion we have good chances.
I will update on Monday on the outcome of the case
