This is just paid advert. Nothing more. How many reality shows in Nigeria has succeeded apart from BBN for obvious reasons? The man better find another job. |
You guys need to keep quiet. Herdsmen is never a problem to the Yorubas. Their headache is the IPOBs. Please endure whatever the herdsmen are doing to you. Don't pitch two brothers together with this your senseless complaints. |
OneTemplate:How much was this one paid that he is this furious with the keyboard this morning. bro, calm down. Just collect you money and enjoy it in peace. You don't need to fight this hard to earn the stipend. |
The Yorubas will soon find a way to blame the Igbos on this. It is a taboo to insult their new found masters - The North. Na Nigeria we dey and we move on. No one should complain. Everyone must bear his cross. We just re-elected Buhari less than two years ago, so our eyes are clear on the direction we wish to go and I think we are well in that direction. |
You said he warned who? For the vaccine he produced or the one from another country? |
blackpanda:So, this is your yardstick for measuring a performing or good President of a country. I am sorry, but this is the height of mediocrity! |
It is not about Trump. Obama supported a Korean against NOI for World Bank President. It is a country where the President does not just take a position. It is institutional. America is a strong ally of South Korea, Nigeria is tilting towards China in trade which is against America's interest. The fact that NOI is our own sister doesn't mean everyone should support her. |
The funny thing is that all those supporting Ordega and condemning those honoring Kiddwaya are not going to stage a rally to celebrate Ordega and others they feel deserve it. They just continue talking until the next BBN show, they carry on again. That is also our problem. The reason also we are not actively participating in politics, rather we criticize those who are there and call it dirty game. You can only change the world by taking a action. |
Are there people who now live in the solation centre? We still have almost 10,000 yet to be discharged. In the last one month, we have not recorded up to 5,000 cases so they are not new cases. How long does it now take to discharge or are there permanent carriers? Just asking |
What this means is that for a mild symptom that requires two weeks isolation, they will spend 1.4m. On what exactly. Okay, why not credit the patient with 500k and let him go home. You will see how the Corona will vanish in a twinkle of an eye once that alert enters. That way, government can save 900k per patient. Nigeria is really a scam! |
Juliearth:This your rant every year is not doing anything to end the show. You are rather contributing to the conversation which make the show trend. Since the last BBN, why didn't you organize this talent show you are talking about. Maybe that would have taken the shine off BBN. The organizers of BBN take action every year and smile to the bank with billions, we only criticize on Nairaland. Positive action is required to change any narrative. |
PrinceMajestic:Who told you he didn't enjoy his life? Your definition of enjoying life is in your warped imagination. Deep down you, you know you have a lot of baggage preventing you from sleeping at night. |
Dyke15:Number one, the poster didn't attribute anything to Ugwuanyi, he only mentioned he drove round Enugu State. Enugu State as it is today is a progressive development from when it was the capital of Eastern region, through to when it was capital of old Anambra State till now. No one administration will lay claim to building Enugu as you may also want people to believe. |
rafaelgbenga:Don't mind them. It is easy to deceive gullible Nigerians. We lack the strength of critical evaluation! |
I commend the Ebonyi governor for his efforts. However, without sounding sarcastic, if you are building 9 fly-overs in Ebonyi, then it is a misplaced priority. First, the only city in Ebonyi that will require fly-overs is Abakaliki and I know it shouldn't be maybe one or two areas that such will be needed as priority. I want to say this to pin-point how our leaders prioritize projects they construct. My take is that because fly-overs are physical projects that are conspicuous, the governor is embarking on them to shine. That is usually the first diver for the projects our politicians embark on (Willie Obiano did the same thing). As I said, I commend him because others are not building anything (which is usually our defence for such). But in the 21st century, we should have moved governance past this. Government can never come up with any policy to better the lives of the people. Policies that will of course require them to sit down, think and spend money on things that are not seen physically but improved the lives of the people. They prefer to spend the allocations building fly-overs and big buildings with bogus contract sums so that people can point at them. Again, I am not saying these are not necessary but the motives are self-serving in most cases. And collecting allocations and awarding these contracts and collecting 20% is no-brainer. That is why anybody can be governor or President in Nigeria. You are not challenged mentally. Please this is not about Ebonyi man, generally applies to all politicans. |
Kano, only 1 ![]() ![]() ? The more you want to resist the temptation to join those that term this thing scam, the more NCDC tries to prove them right. So what magic did Kano do to reduce it to 1? If testing is reduced there, then what is the basis of sending these figures. The truth is that the number of infected persons is 100 times more than this in the country. What is the essence of data that is too far from reality. It can only deceive. Like in Kano, people will assume that the virus is gone and you wont blame them because that is what the figures say, but is that the reality? We are watching... |
So Kogi and Cross River are in South East. These are statements that lead to bad blood in the country. The perception about COVID 19 is not a region thing. If for anything, it is only two governors of a state that have come out to officially pronounce their disbelief at least in the way it is being handled. None of those states are in SE. |
I will know if I should commend the governor if someone that knows can confirm that there is no Almajiri in Kaduna before now until these ones deported from Kano. Because if we have Almajiris in Kaduna that El Rufai has not sent to school, then this is mere political propaganda |
ugbanante:What have they done with the positions? Or in Nigeria, we just glamorize positions for it's sake. Their people remain the poorest and most wretched. So much about positions |
[quote author=boookworm post=89856106]Patiently waiting for the most annoying people on nairaland. The "Shit is getting real" crew [/quote They are really annoying. |
Our standard in Africa is too low and too poor. The President of a country, in a national emergency, just appears in a ten minute recorded video to declare lockdown every two weeks. Not addressing any issue, not giving any plan on how to take care of the people within this period. In another clime, a President addresses the people everyday and entertains questions from journalists for more than an hour. Why do we have this low standard as a race? |
When Buhari shut down Abuja, Lagos and Ogun, some people pointed out that he doesn't have those powers to do that including Prof. Wole Soyinka. Those who took these views came under the hammer as not being sensitive to the situation and pandering to constitutional provisions as against saving people's lives. Now, the same Federal government is quoting the Constitution to fault the actions of a governor who is also securing the lives of his citizens against COVID 19. I don't think FG has the moral right. Some people also supporting Wike opposed the FG on Constitutional grounds. We either decide to obey our laws or not. |
Ijeleigbo:That is the point. There seem to be a concerted effort to only portray negativity during this period, the reason I don't know. If you look at NCDC report, they have suddenly removed the number of people recovered from the sickness and only announce infected and death. Almost designed to instill fear. |
TallPck1:US is not on lock down. Even when Trump wanted to lock down New York, the governor refused. They only issued movement advisory, that is only move out on essential reasons alone for your own good |
saajus:Is it when everyone have died that they will now complete the clinical trial? |
The post would have told us the nationality the man was traveling with, maybe Ukraine. Officially, no Nigerian was listed as victim |
allthingsgood:You continue to miss the point. Your only happiness is that APC is winning for Buhari, so you are happy about that, the cost of that winning does not matter at all. Buhari is your hero and even if 20 people die to secure victory for APC and Buhari, you are at peace with that. Good of you. |
Neplusultra:How far Oga? Is it still too early? |
See what the immediate past aviation minister for four years is saying. And he was still confirmed |
This does not represent a good argument coming from a Professor. The issue is not about personal relationship, it is about the current spate of terror being unleashed by a section and which has remained unchecked ostensibly because their own is in power. Anybody can help anybody. |
This is just grandstanding by Senate and not addressing the real issue. How many people are convicted of rape? They should be concerned about reviewing out our judicial and investigation system. Not putting unrealistic laws in place. Today governor's don't sign death sentence for known criminals not to talk of rape cnvicts. Let's even convict the rapists and punish them with the existing laws first. Misplaced priority |
