Or you acknowledge there is God and pray secret/answer revealing prayers i.e pray God should open your spiritual eyes! You are a disgrace to christianity. I don't see what he told you that should warrant your being harsh to him. Is that what Christ taught us? Pls go and pray for a Christ-like life. |

lastmessenger: This is exactly why I have stopped going to church for some time. Am just tired of this version of Christianity. It has been so corrupted that you hardly encounter the real life of God. Bro you still need to be in the gathering of God's children as the bible instructed us. It will help you more than just staying out. What you ll do is to look out for such gatherings that have the qualities as mentioned by the OP and be fellowshiping with them. Of a truth, what we see in churches these days are so annoying. A height of selfishness, greed, internal politicking, hatred, jealousy, disunity etc. Very annoying but let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves as instructed in Hebrews 10:25. We are meant to be an encouragement to one another when we assemble and blessing in general. Don't be discouraged. Personally I ve been looking for a group of people of likeminds whom I can be fellowshiping with from time to time. Not a corporate church as it is now that has Bishop, pastor, ministers etc. Just a simple gathering of the saints. I hope to find such a group this year by God's grace. |

The verse was simple "snake the craftiest of all animal"... now revelation written by an anonymous author thousands of years later is been used to twist it to mean devil... habaaaa you christians are indeed a funny lot.. smh You see the double game you people play? Have an open mind and accept your error. Things you see as errors in the scripture are not. It has another scripture that clarifies it which someone who knows it can pull up to show you. It doesn't mean that if you don't get answers from those who have responded then there is no answer. It doesn't work like that bro. |

Oduduwaboy: Book of Enoch ? what the heck is that? Is the bible as presently constituted no more the perfect word of God? How will you feel if i referred you to obscure books such as the 6th-10th books of moses in order to booster your faith Yahweh? Kindly read the book of Enoch and read its history, it has connection with the bible from the content. it detailed some scriptural messages. Its different from your oocultic book of Moses. I don't know why the people that compiled the bible left it out. That was then, we live in info age and we ve seen and read it now. When you read it with a genuine christian mind or with an unbiased mind as a non christian you ll understand better. |

Reiyvinn: Those who know me personally (especially those who knew me 3-2 years back) can't stop to wonder how I, the once chivalrious youth who defended and preached the gospel as though I had been told that the rapture was the next minute, would suddenly become an Atheist.
Even if I took a time travel back to inform the ME of 3-2 years ago that I'd eventually lose faith in the Jewish Deity, I would've given 'ME' a hot slap.
The current and incessant inquiry I keep getting from my friends and family is "What changed you? What took you away from God?"
I must say, I've lost a huge number of my friends due to this and sadly, won't be getting them back any time soon but I will not pretend to believe in what is proven to be outrightly false and ridiculous just because I wish to keep my friends. How long will it last?
It's only my true friends (some of whom are Muslims, Christians, Agnostics, Atheists, Trad, e.t.c) that I have left.
So, back to the reason for the thread, WHY did I lose faith in the Jewish Deity? What triggered that effontery?
Admittedly, it was really hard thinking back to where it all started. I mean, I didn't give it much thought until recently when I got an eureka moment after viewing one of my old Facebook profiles and viewed all my messages (old and lost) before stumbling upon that wonderful conversation. It was filled with familiar questions that I believe at least 90% of Christians have [at one point] had troubles answering but shoved aside.
1.) "Where did Cain get a Wife?"
My reply [as most honest Christian replies would be] was: "I dunno, but I believe God must have created them (the nations he went to) aside for him or perhaps, the people of those nations were also descendants of Adam"
Then he threw some Nagasaki bombshells: "If they were created aside, that is to say, not born of Adam who is purported to be the Father of mankind, why is the Adamic Curse such as Death, Labour pain, e.t.c equally binding on them as well since they neither tasted the forbidden fruit nor were they born of Adam (thus inheriting the sin and the curse)??
And if they were indeed Adam's Descendants, does it mean that during Adam's lifetime he was able to give birth to nations and Cain, being the first son, witnessed this happening and was still a marriable youth when they had grown to marriable ages (since he went to get a wife from from a people he watched grow)
And yes, does it mean that the world was populated by the means of in-cest??!"
2.) Lastly, you want me to believe that in the course of Human history; which your Bible says is just 6000 years ago, over 75 Billion People descended from just two Humans
Think about it
Oh boy, that was evidently too much for me but I made it appear as though it was nothing (most Christians do that) so I shoved it aside and gave him the "God works in mysterious ways" kind of answer. But deep down, I knew it made absolutely no sense at all; it was too absurd to come from an All-Knowing God.
I traced that conversion to have been the start of my journey out of the age-old delusion. Bro search for the book of Enoch and read, it has more details about some of these confusing issues in the bible(old testament). Its a historical book and part of the books of the bible according to info (though the people who compiled the books of the bible didn't include it for whatever reason). Do find time to read it if you can read with an open mind. But if your mind is closed towards bible matters you can leave it. Thanks. |

BabaGnoni: - EXCERPT -
ufrosbel actually started as a Christian fundamentalist often shortened as a Fundamentalist, which is not bad at all (i.e. it's safe)
The thing right now, is that frosbel is swimming in waters without strapping a life jacket on He is doing the "Why did frosbel the chicken cross the Road" highway classic
https://s22.postimg.org/52gkey29d/chicken2.jpg
frosbel is currently on a very slippery slope, a slope with no guardings, no hand rails to hold on to, for if/when he is to slip. With no hand railing, if/when he does slip, he will be spiralling into a dark & murky bottomless pit
The fact is, he, frosbel is leaving the safe haven of Christian fundamentalism and is a tenny weeny bit short of fully transitioning to become a Liberal Christian - in fact, he already is showing almost all the markings of a Liberal Christian (e.g. debunking the virgin birth etcetera) (i.e. he hasnt completely or fully developed into a Liberal Christian yet)
Potentially, his next phase after becoming a fully fledged Liberal Christian will be Agnosticism
I agree with him (i.e. frosbel) that he will never become an ATHEIST and can never be one, not in this life or the next
I agree because even if HE, frosbel, turns later into neither believing nor disbelieving in the existence of God (i.e. he is unable to make up his mind on the existence of God) he will stay in the closet and hold on DEFIANTLY/STRONGLY to that inveterate habit of God does exist, this, all to keep or retain the last shred of his sanity or sound mental health left

frosbel you are running away from answering my question i can see. You dont have any reasonable and strong answer to it. Now to add to my first question- Kindly tell me the need for the resurrection of dead sinners who according to you have been annihilated at death. I mean what sense does it make for God to resurrect them if they have been totally annihilated, only to judge them and annihilate them again? That alone paints a much harder picture of God. You kill person, the person don die finish, some died thousands of years ago, then later you bring them back to life again, judge them and still make them pass through the pain of death again. And you think this picture makes God more merciful than the eternal punishment written in the bible? Wake up man, they are not annihilated hence the second resurrection. Stop deceiving yourself. |

Hiswordxray: I see war here. I see a fierce battle between light and darkness and it's a terrible sight. Many innocent have walked in unaware. It is bloody and ruthless as the weak are mercilessly rushed under foot.
What makes it even worse is that many can't see the battle. They didn't see the multitude of soldiers fighting tirelessly with deadly weapons, yes even the most piosonous weapons are brought here. They can't see the evil horde who are ugly, confused, scared, caricatural and restless. The evil horde looks pitiful but yet deadly.
While the soldiers of light are few but yet surrounded with an ever increasing number of agitated evil horde. Many of the soldiers of light are wounded, captured or dead and gone. Many of my brothers are bleeding and are close to death because they don't know they are in war. Some just ignore the war and wash their brothers perish (some even assist in kill their brothers). How terrible!
But I see hope. Soon my brother will realize that they are at war and those who are not strong enough will withdraw to go train and equip themselves. I see some at the war front fighting and protecting the little ones. Even though some of these little ones have arrogantly rush to the battle front. I see some training and equipping their fellow brothers. Very soon we would put on the full armour of God and fight with the right weapon. And we would see more victories than failures. Yea you are right bro. We are not ignorant of his devices. But thanks be to God who gives us victory through our lord Jesus Christ. Amen. |

frosbel: Back to mystery , lol.
Good night Pal Oga goodmorning. The question I asked you in 2014 you ve not answered me. This is 2015. Here is the question again- How can a God who(according to you) cannot effect a virgin birth cause the ressurrection of the dead(people who have turned to dust and therefore have been totally annihilliated according to you)? And in your question about the virgin birth you asked about who provided the chromosome. Here I ask you who and who provided the chromosome, the eggs, the womb and everything needed to reborn these people who are long dead, turned to dust meaninng that they have been totally annhilliated(according to your teaching)? Now don't mention God here. Since he cannot cause a virgin birth of just one man in your belief, it then means he can't cause the ressurrection of billions of annhilliated people. |

esere826: great to find another person that shares my type of thoughts on such issues though my conclusion is different but just siddon by my side and watch these guys do battle ..quite interesting na them know Jesus pass. you would find those that are smart seekers, and those that are simply doctrinal parrots but them no they ever change their view ooo if they come into battle saying the world is flat, the leave saying the world is flat from any angle when viewed by the naked eye c na so bro. I don't take hard stand on issues like this when I see some good points challenging my view point. It is when people try to play wayo(like my friends here) in trying to present their point that I reject them. One of my reasons for being more convinced about the eternal punishment is this- Since some group here are teaching that when a person dies everything about him ends in the grave and he turns to dust, no after life (which means total annhilliation), of what purpose is the second ressurection (ressurection of the sinners)? I mean why would God ressurect dead sinners(who are already totally annhilliated) only to judge them and still annhilliate them again with fire? Mind you some of these people died of gas explosion, bomb explosion, accidents and other miserable death. Why would he want to ressurect people who died miserable death and have been totally annihilliated(according to the teachers here) only to judge them and make them go through another miserable death(total annhilliation)?.it doesn't make sense. It simply tells me that there is more to the eternal punishment than the total annhilliation being parroted here. |

So what I am doing is to expose the lie so that those who want to worship Christ will do so not out of fear. When you people refer to eternal punishment as instigating fear I just wonder whether annhilliation is palatable and doesn't instigate fear too. C'mmon bro...both of them project fear and terror. If you truly want to preach a gospel that will be free of fear then lake of fire punishment, either eternal or temporary, should not come in at all. Secondly you can't conclude that eternal torment is a lie. Both sides have strong cases for their positions. And if at the end of the day it turns out that total annhilliation is a lie what will you do then? Kill God?(Lol). The whole thing is like reading this statement- GODISNOWHERE. An unbeliever will read it thus- GOD IS NO WHERE while a believer will read it thus- GOD IS NOW HERE. Each person believes his own is the truth while the other is a lie but it doesn't change anything. Everybody will face the truth at the end of the day. All these argument doesn't change the reality. For me I'm more convinced about eternal punishment but wish that it will be total annhilliation for them. |

No one should be deceived, this is the reason men live as they please procrastinating thinking they will always mk decision at the last minute. Also the bible is no longer the standard, people now believe that when ur heart is right n u are not extremely bad, then u can make Heaven.
There is only one way approved by the father n whatever else leads to destruction! Far be it from me bro. I'm not in anyway advocating that people should procastinate their repentance. |
