If she agree to work, you should help with the kids too when you get back home from work as 3 kids will be a lot of work for your mum and if she is working she will be tired too. With 3 of you (you, your wife and your mum) sharing the home work load plus you and your wife sharing the financial workload things should be easier and you can gradually find your way out of the mess. You can then acquire new skills, more education and better job or business.

Anytime I read this kind of post I always say "God bless my wife".

But if she want to leave, please let her leave but dont send her out by yourself.

Your mum is there, with both of you working and managing whatever money you are getting you can feed and try to gather some few thousand over time to start her "business" or shop. That is the obvious solution.

Note that , if you allow are to leave with the kids, they will become your enemy in the future regardless of whether you send upkeep money or not. they will only believe what their mother tell them about you. And if the way you have portrayed her to be is anything to go by, I can bet you she will tell them you abandon them because the stress was too much for you. So, if she leaves ensure you get your kidsand never say bad things about their mother as they grow up.

hi, sorry about your ordeal and hope things work out well for you eventually. Read your submission and I like your spirit and just wanted to mentally support you. Your submittions come across as genuine and seems like you know what you want for yourself. Unfortunately , you are in such a situation. The bad part is, if you dont fight it, it would be on their records that you used fake documents and thats a ten year ban unannounced.
The other bad part is that they have succeeded in stalling your dreams for now, but they cant do that for long. Just try and hang in there and keep fighting, your options are limited and you cant just walk away.

At this stage, you have no choice if you wish to still further your ambitions, get the lawyer, it might seem like its a long journey at the moment, but its the right thing to do and you dont really have much options.

No issues throughout school period.
I collected the certificate from record office. I used same certificate and transcript for WES evaluation.
Everything is as normal as you can think of. No reason whatsoever for them to make this allegation in the first place.

It is just stupidity on the part of the ECO. Maybe he was drunk or something.

No sir. It is as it was given to me. Not laminated and in good clean condition.
I stated in my administrative review application that I am willing to courier it to them for examination if they so wish.

No offence taken since you don't have the evidence. I can only take offence at Home office for the allegation in the firat place and then maintening it even with ll the evidences submitted.

From beginning till now, no email from them to UI to check authenticity. On monday, I still asked someone in UI to help me check if there is any email from them.
The Administrative Review decision stated that the ECO treated tye application according to the right procedure and so they are maintaining their initial decision. it seems to me, they just tosse all evidence on one side

I could not think of any reason. So I requested for the Document Examination Report (DER) which they mentioned in the refusal letter. it took a long time for them to send it to my email. I submitted the Admin Review without knowing exactly what their concern was. But i added all evidence i could get.

I also tried check former classmates certificates to see if they were in anyway different from mine. They were all the same. I mention this in the Administrative review.

When the DER came, it says that the logo on my certificate is different from the logo on UI website. Since the Administrative Review decision was not out yet, I sent another email to let them know that that's how UI do their certificate. They only changed the certificate look in later years. 2015 or so.

As part of the Administrative Review evidence

-School issued a letter to show that the certificate is genuine.

School sent an email to the administrative review mail box with university of hull in copy. University of hull received it and forwrded it to me. i inlcuded this in the evidence i sent.

I added graduation picture

Convocation order of proceeding.

I also offer to do a courier of the hardcopy certificate to them if they need it.

UKVI/ home office havw enough evidence that it genuine.

I'm still surprised they are maintaining their position of false document.

Did you do your AR yourself?

Last year, I was refused because the ECO said I wasn't a genuine student. I applied for AR myself and got refused again then I got a Barrister - Direct Access Counsel who helped with the Judicial Review.

You can go for Judicial review but it's a long process.

Below is from the initial refusal letter. I then applied for AR.

"You have submitted a 2008 Bachelor of Science degree certificate in your name
which was purportedly issued by the University of Ibadan. However examination
of the document by a forgery officer have led to the conclusion that this
document is not genuine. These checks have been documented in a document
examination report (DER) held by our office. I am satisfied that you have
submitted a false document in support of your application. Your application is
therefore refused under Paragraph 9.7.1 (a) of the Immigration Rules."

You have nothing to worry about. This is culture shock as others righfully said.

It is normal for yoruba's. And no one will even mention it because it is just one of those normal things. The same reason why they didn't need to tell you in advance as it was deem normal. Just like you would not notify anyone in advance that you want to breath in air

Your only fault is that you have not learn the culture of your spouse. You need to learn and ask questions when necessary from people of that tribe otherwise you may have many other issues along the line with in-laws and your own people.

I am also in an intercultural marriage and understand some of this cultural differences. Nothing to worry about if you ask questions in advance and use wisdom to handle situations.

Example: when you give birth, in-laws may want you to do naming ceremony on the 7th day and maybe in your culture you don't do that and only do child dedication when baby is 3 months old. Other thing's like that.

Once you understand that there are differences in culture and you are open to flow with those differences then you will have no problems.

*Dont make the mistake of listening to people of another culture interpreting something from a different culture for you. If you want to understand a yoruba wedding ask a yoruba man or woman who understand how typical yoruba wedding goes. Preferable a married yoruba man or woman. If you want to understand yoruba naming ceremony, do the same. Don't let an Igbo or hausa man interprete something that is normal in yoruba land as something you may regret later for you. Or a single yoruba guy or lady interprete yoruba wedding for you.

Ask about the expected roles of in-laws (your own people) and educate them accordinly. it may be strange to them but if they love you they will do their part.

You think say na to just carry your wife and go abi . Intercutural marriage is a school just like pretty much everything in life.

Enjoy your married life bro. Your kids will get the best of both worlds.

Mine came out successful after 95days.

Some Administrative review decisions take more than 28days even up to like 100days.

Go for AR and attach the original certificate with a letter from your university to support this...i do understand that getting such letter from university in Nigeria can take ages and costly sometime. If you are unable to get a letter still go ahead with the AR.

The bolded could be the reason. As you further stated, it is a big error. Indeed, it is.

I will advice you initiate the process of Administrative review.

If possible, you can seek advice from the UI's Exams and Records office on what could be done by their officers-in-charge in order to strengthen the veracity of your case.

Let your school(at the UK) be in the know.

The caseworker should have contacted UI to clarify his/her suspicion. My opinion though.

Be hopeful, it will end well.

yes I have the original copy with me.
I really don't know what could have cause this. from what i have gathered UI changed the look of their certificate in recent years. Those of us that graduated long time ago have a different look. But I believe they should be familiar with that. I really don't know what they check. But whatever they check it is a big error from their side.

Yes I got a non straightforward email 2 days after biometrics.

My certificate was not laminated

I was a regular full time student in the school. They did not even check anything with school anyway.

They are just confused. How can they say they have done checks on scan copy of a document and conclude it is not genuine. It is not the paper certificate they checked o.

I received the decision_refusal email in my inbox. I have not receive the email that passport is ready . tracking on website still show "still at dmc"

later one they responded to my paid email that decision as been made.

In the refusal they wrote

"This means that any future entry clearance applications may also be refused under the Immigration Rules for a period of up to 10 years depending on the type of application you make. The period of 10 years starts from the date that the deception was used in this application for a visa."

I guess that is 10 years ban. Right?

Sorry about this, did you receive an email for it or it was when you collected your passport you saw it?

An administrative review seems to be the only option, however, if you were not banned then you can also consider reapplying, but first of all get in touch with your school international team, they will be the best to advice you on what to do next and if you will be issued another CAS.

I received a refusal letter from Pretoria today.

Reason they give is that my certificate that i used 5 years to obtain is not genuine.

They examined scanned copy ooo and reached conclusion. no email for confrimation or verificationwas sent to school because I already checked with school this afternoon.

Yes u can, just fill the flywire form then choose pay in pounds, then they ll issue a receipt you take to bank and pay using form A. Did my on Friday, was debited yesterday and today flywire sent me my paid receipt confirming that the school have received the money

I'm surprised no one has asked you to check your windows burglary proof steel rods. Are they all completely intact? Do you live downstairs?

There have been reports of burglars cutting those rods on the burglary proof without making any sound and passing through it. I did not take it seriously until a friend of mine became a victim and I saw the cut rod with my own eyes. They were even at home when they cut the burglary proof without any sound ( only God knows what chemical they used to cut it). They took laptops, money, TV and then theyy passed through the now open burglary. Just a rod was removed and it was wide enough to allow a man and items to pass through.

Check all windows burglary if any rod is missing. That might have been their way in and out.

I came back from the the church on Sunday only to see my apartment rummaged. My gas cylinder that I just filled, my new electric iron that is still intact in the packet, my new stainless vacuum cup, aso ebi 2 each 6 yards and Polish and brush were all carted away.

What really surprised me is my key being intact and no sign of break and enter from any part of the apartment.
