A super visa can be used for a step mother if she meets the definition of a parent for immigration purposes. According to ircc, a Parent is defined as "a person who is the natural parent or adoptive parent (legally adopted before the age of 18) of a person". Therefore, if your step mother legally adopted you before you turned 18, she can apply for a super visa as your parent. However, if she did not adopt you legally, she cannot apply for a super visa as your parent.

If they refuse anybody entry especially vv holder and you have the money and can endure the long waiting court process then face the court because even with this court judgement ,boarder officer can still refuse entry if they have reasonable doubt that you will be an illegal immigrant which is a threat to national security

Now Ask yourself: Is illegal immigration not a threat to national security? If an officer has reasonable doubt that you will not return to your country after your trip to Canada, is that not a form of illegal immigration and a valid reason to refuse entry?

My father’s PPR came on September 18 and when we checked, there was passport submission appt on the 19th! So it’s possible.

If someone shares their story here, unless they are asking for money or telling you to PM them or asking to join a WhatsApp group, then, it’s most likely not a lie.

My sister came to visit me last year (I posted the timeline and documents submitted- none of all the landed properties or plenty documents). My fathers Application was just approved and we submitted far less documents this time around! No bank statements whatsoever from either of them! My dad is retired and my mum is late so he more or less has little to show as per employment or ties.

Both my family members did not need any financial documents from their end because I wrote that I was going to sponsor the entire trip!

If you have a relative in Canada that is well established- has a good job and is financially stable- there is no reason to include all that (from my experience).

Having said that, I do agree with you that circumstances differ.

Exactly circumstances differ which include age,when she applied,during the backlog the rules was relaxed so many people got visa with less requirement,status of ur sister when she applied ( married,single)so many other factors like elderly people tender to get visa easier so it best to include document that u feel will support ur application and most important is to arrange ur document in order and back with detail explanation

statement of account 2.1 million for herself and daughter.
Just be simple with your application and do not add unnecessary documents.

5. Consent letter for my daughter. Her dad got it notarize.

That was all I submitted. She was really discouraged to apply; I encourage her to give it a try and make the application simple.

Advise keep your application simple, landed properties is not part of Canada visa application!

Canada,you cannot check it online like usa but if nothing indicated on ur passport then it 6 month validty becos if less it will be indicated on ur passport and the date written on it.

For all kind of visa. You can stay at each visit for a maximum of 6 months. Even if you have 10yrs visa. You must exit the country before 6 months or change your visa status before 6 months.

While some peiople arrive poe and are stamp 7 days,14 or less so the 6 month is never automatic,boarder officier can decide you deserve less!! And even if you granted 6 month if you stay beyond 3 month on vv,l beg say bye bye to canada fir a long time bwcos if you exist and rush back less than 6 month withouf extreme concrete reason ..you will face big interogration on ur return and may be refuse entry!!

Please I need clarification on difference between Canada visiting visa ( The one you use invitation letter from friends or family in Canada) and tourist visa ( The one you book hotel without any invitation letter).

My friend and I were arguing about it. What he said is different from what I know.

He said they issue visa to the expiry date of someone's passport for Visiting Visa ( The one you use invitation letter from friends or family). And that they only issue visa of 6months to 2years for Tourist Visa (The one you book hotel without any invitation letter) even if the person's passport expiry date is 5yrs or 10yrs.

Weather you use hotel as tourist or friend/family visiting invitation, you still get visitor visa on ur passport and it issue to end of passport validity.

There is a 90% possibility that your passport might get stuck for weeks if you submit via courier. I’d always advise people to submit in person unless you don’t need your passport returned quickly.

And if no slot to sumbit in person within the 30 days given by ircc..you wait the 30 days elapse and loss visa chance or just take the courier option?

No route is the best route , and every route is the best route. You better off making out with routes that suit your call, all visa categories have advantages and downsides. The major question starts with this , what do I want ? What is my skill and does it fit into the NOC (national occupational classification) of the province? Can this skill I have help me easily secure Permanent residence? Answering these settles ¾ of your problems. You can then have quality time to plan. The question you asked may make you be very vulnerable to "agents of darkness" who want to milk you of your sweat. You gotta be very careful around here. All that glitters are not gold as you deem fit.

Make up your mind. What are your plans on moving to a new country? Working in the UK, you should have had some income at some point , it's either you have patience and consider the FSW (Federal skilled workers) or you go with PNP (provincial nominee program) you in the end collect the permanent residence then make sure your skill fits in the NOC so you can easily get a job. The processing time is another thing you need to be aware of. It may take sometime. Also one thing to note, it also depends on territories and provinces of Canada , some provinces need a skillset , some do not. Now it's up to you to make your choices and do serious research. Challenge around PR is , they would want to attend to people in Canada first , before attending to people outside Canada. The rest , you know the end results.

Secondly you may take the route of the visit visas. Since you are in the UK , the processing time for this visa maybe faster. You can switch to work permit upon getting a good job with LMIA once you get to Canada, now this has to employ some form of skillset and if you fall into something like STEM (science , tech, engineering and medical) you can get a job quick and LMIA is sure. Probably after that your wife can apply for SOWP. Look up SOWP applications and requirements, I believe you can figure out a thing or two there. Else both of you can just apply for visit visa and switch later on, it's totally up to you!

Student visa on the other hand requires money. People deem this the surest means to travel , but you have to be financially capable and meet up with requirements of IRCC and the university requirements , before anything. Again, I don't see it as the surest means, because if I am 45 for instance, most universities may have problems with my age and what I'm coming to do in that school. It may even raise eye brows at some point in visa applications. Exchange rates shouldn't be a barrier here, since you have workarounds for that, you live in the UK. Unlike for those who live in third world countries.

On the other hand also, getting venture capital to finance your company is another good one after which, you migrate to Canada , provide jobs to over 20 Canadians and then secure work permit , before PR . The major goal is PR , but the process is really discouraging at some point when no VC finances your move into Canada. It's a journey and if you not open for this, you may get discouraged later on. Getting companies to finance you is not an easy task, their requirements may be taunting at some point... You have to write business plans and pitch decks and send to incubators and VCs , the reject email could be heartbreaking many a time.

It is your call like I said earlier. I'd choose the visit visa route , so once I get there I can choose to go in for one of the PR routes so processing times can be shorter since I'm inside canada , but that should vary when it comes to you as I do not know your skill and if it falls in the Canadian NOC and what skillset you have. So you have a lot of thinking and work to do, and planning. So putting everything in pen 🖋️ and paper 📜 , and talking with your wife in this regard is needed now.

That part is harder than u thinking and people should research well before embarking on the vv to wv and lmia is getting extremely harder abd even with lmia ,ircc can still approve or denial ur work permit so think well and do ur research before face canada on a visiting visa and hoping to convert to work visa,some people are already in difficult situation based on hope of converting to wv and 6 month elpase and they become illegal

Firstly ,you need ask urself what is flagpole and what the requirement to change from vv to wv ,also read about lmia and see if it it easy..to be honest changing fron vv to wv is not easy and some are stranded becos it fail.. peolple vv is now easy but do ur reserach well before coming tocanada with visiting visa amd hoping to change to work visa..it a long process and not easy..l wish u all the best.
