He who asserts must prove.. The person claiming to be the child of a man is to provide strong cogent evidence that will lead to the sole conclusion that he is the biological son of the Man. The court may even order DNA if required.
The basic gists is even the mum can come and give evidence and if they throw out her testimony then also his claim to paternity also goes.
It is not automatic, the claimant must prove that he is the man's son before the court can grant same..

A. An illegitimate child can always inherit. Recently a Judge of the Ibadan High court was confirmed to be the child of Akintola hence entitled to a share of his estate which will be equal to what the legitimate children get.
B. I recently saw a will wherein the Father insisted on DNA before the children bearing his name by his wife can inherit. Meaning he suspected he was rearing a bastard or 2.

I. The child may be disinherinted by the supposed father to inherit from his Biological dad. Or
II. It can be argued that since he was acknowledged during the Dads lifetime then he can inherit.

very simple be honest upfront. tell them where you are going and with who and what time you will Br back. they cannot say don't go all they need to know is your likely whereabouts. and if there is a delay let them know and if possible give them another contact person.

Right now, you shouldn’t bother your head too much about whether he’s denying or not. As long as he’s providing your needs and taking care of the family, just channel your heart and emotions to something more meaningful. As much as it hurts, it’s safe to say you shouldn’t dwell too much on it. The more you do, the more it hurts and the more it causes rifts between you two. let me clarify something here.
quit notice expires during your current tenancy and not after. the landlord is not under any legal obligation to give you any extra time. the issue that you are entitled to six months free after the rent expires is not backed by any law. your rent expires so does your tenancy. in fact after the expiration of your rent, its ONE WEEK you are entitled to(Odutola case).

So, two weeks ago my landlord came to the compound, and said the caretaker who was handling the building for him was no longer in charge that they have parted ways.

Then we all complained of the state of affairs between tenants and how only some of us have been shouldering the responsibilities of repairs, and others are never contributing.

For the records, there are only four flats, two up and two down.

In his response, he said he was disappointed that we were not cooperating as neighbors.

Without proffering any solution, he left only for him to come this morning with quit notice for all for tenants.

That we should pack out two months after expiration of our various rent.

Now it should be noted that I have never owned him rent, and we pay yearly.

My current rent will expire April 30th 2019.

Now my question is this.

Is that how quit notices are served?

Is it right to give a tenant that pays yearly rent just two months to pack out?

I have never been involved with this landlord/tenant wahala, so don't know the best action to take.

Please legal people in the house, I need your advice.

Your advice will be very helpful in my next line of action.

but 6 months from now is very valid if you are in Lagos. if not it is invalid

since you have not seen her for over 3 years. then go to the nearest high court through a lawyer to seek a divorce. however when asking for the divorce make sure you add, upkeep, school fees etc of your children plus access to them.

get a lawyer and sue the agent for your full rent. its call misrepresentation or fraud. or better still arrest them for 419 and get an undertaken. you might walk away with 6 months rent free.

What you require is a letter of administration over the shares and the bank account. It can be obtained from the nearest high court.
After that you will need to approach the registrars of the company for the list of shares owned and for the registrars to transmit the shares from your dad's name to the Estate.
PS. This process will take months.
