Kylie Jenner, a popular American media personality, model, businesswoman, and socialite, has got everyone on social media talking after she goes extra miles in promoting her new skincare line, Kylie Skin.


But a Nigerian lady on Instagram, @peacesmith2, who didn't agree with her new way of promoting her product and took to Kylie's Instagram comment section to give her some advice.


The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star took her girls, Sophia Richie, Draya Michelle and other friends including her daughter on a trip in a customized private jet.


The girls were all dressed in matching pink tracksuits.


Kylie and her daughter, Stormi Webster also wore same pink tracksuits as they took photos outside the pink plane with Kylie Skin carefully written on it.


Kylie, after sharing the photos on her Instagram page has received lots of comments under it. A lot of her fans also praised her for what she did.

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with Afenifere chairman, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, whose daughter, Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, was killed by suspected herdsmen.


On Friday, it was reported that Mrs Funke Olakunrin, a 58-year-old woman heading to Ore Junction from Akure, Ondo State, when she was attacked and shot by the herdsmen.


Femi Joseph, the Ondo Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), had earlier confirmed the killing, saying the suspects were herdsmen who also engaged in armed robbery.


He said the herdsmen attacked three vehicles, including a luxurious bus belonging to the Young Shall Grow Motors, adding that the passengers in the luxurious bus were travelling from Imo State to Lagos.


Joseph added that Mrs Olakunrin was the only one killed in the incident.


Olakunrin is the second child of 94-year-old Fasoranti to die. The elder statesman had also lost a daughter, Bunmi, some years ago, Fox Meek reports.


Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, in a message posted on his Twitter page, said President Buhari “prays God to give Pa Fasoranti fortitude to bear the loss.”


He wrote; “President Muhammadu Buhari condoles with Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, whose daughter, Mrs Funke Olakunrin was killed along Ondo-Ore road by those described as armed robbers by Ondo Police Command. He prays God to give Pa Fasoranti fortitude to bear the loss.”

Kayode Fayemi, the Ekiti State Governor, on Friday, July 12, has paid the outstanding salaries and allowances of members of the State Civil Service Commission and House of Assembly Service Commission who were appointed by the state’s former governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose.


Fox Meek reports that Mr. Fayemi while presenting cheques which covers their outstanding salaries and allowances thanked them for their service to the state.


It was learnt that the governor was represented by his chief of staff, Biodun Omoleye.


Mr. Tunji Odeyemi, the former chairman of the House of Assembly Service Commission, on behalf of the beneficiaries, said that the governor surprised them by keeping them in office when he was elected governor of the state.

“We are most delighted for an avenue like this. I must confess that this opportunity we are having today is very uncommon. When a new governor or government comes on board, what they usually do is to remove members of commissions and boards appointed by their predecessor not minding the laws establishing those commissions,


“But you have magnanimously retained us and now paying our outstanding salaries. As far as Ekiti is concerned, from 1999 to date, the opportunity we are having like this has not been very common. We are grateful to His Excellency for this.”

Today, Wednesday, July 10, a company belonging to Godswill Akpabio, a former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, was raided by operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), in search of some properties diverted to his personal use, Igbere TV reports.


According to reports gathered by Igbere TV, the Senator who represented Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly but lost his reelection bid to return to the Senate own a private company located in his hometown, Ukana in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nsemek Industries Limited.


Igbere TV reports that part of the properties which were discovered to have been diverted to Nsemek Industries, which is being managed by Nsentip Akpabio, Senator Akpabio's younger brother, includes some hospital equipments meant for Ukana Cottage Hospital.


The equipment include Dialysis machine, Computers, Anaesthetic machine, ECG Monitor, Oxygen regulator, among others, as well as two 15 KVA generators, Igbere TV can report.


The equipment were part of items purchased through Constituency Project of Senator Akpabio.


The ICPC officials were said to have acted on a tip-off, swooping on the premises of Nsemek Industries today.


The recovered equipment are said to have been handed over to the management of the Ukana Cottage Hospital, the original beneficiary of the Constituency Project.

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has hosted minority leaders of the ninth Senate at his residence in Abuja, Igbere TV reports.


The senators, who are members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had a closed-door meeting with Mr. Saraki on Wednesday morning.


Minority leader Enyinnaya Abaribe, deputy minority leader Emmanuel Bwacha, minority whip Phillip Aduda, and deputy minority whip Shabi Yau were all at the meeting.


The purpose of the meeting was not revealed in a tweet by an aide to Saraki, Bamikole Omisore.

Senator Elisha Abbo has clashed with Senator Oluremi Tinubu on his appearance on Tuesday before a Senate ad-hoc committee, Igbere TV reports.


Igbere TV reports that Senate President Ahmad Lawan had on July 3 set up a committee to investigate an incident of assault involving Mr Abbo and a woman at an adult toy shop in Abuja.


The committee was to be headed by a former governor of Ebonyi State, Sam Egwu.


Other members of the panel include Mrs Tinubu, Mathew Urhoghide, Stella Oduah, Dauda Aliu Jika, Sani Musa, and Danladi Sankara.


On Tuesday, Abbo refused to swear an oath before the panel. He also refused to speak in the presence of journalists because the matter was in court.


“Distinguished, you just joined us. We have a procedure and we are also under law. You don’t come in here and dictate to us what should be done,” Tinubu told Abbo, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member.


“You are on the other side now. You don’t tell us what to do…because we can suspend you,” she added.


Visibly upset, Abbo said: “I will not sit here and listen to you threaten me with suspension. I am a senator like you. You cannot threaten me with suspension.”


Journalists were later asked to leave for the meeting to continue off camera.


Abbo was arraigned on Monday at Zuba Magistrate Court, Abuja on one count of assault which he denied.

Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Adamu Kafarati has directed that all political cases still pending before the court should be concluded by October 2019, Igbere TV reports.


Igbere TV reports that Kafarati made the directive known at an event organised by the International Human Rights and Anti Corruption Society (IHRAS) yesterday in Abuja.


He said the measure the court adopted before and during the last general elections, which included the directive to judges not to grant ex-part orders in political cases, was intended to allow every political prayer equal opportunity.


He said: “In an attempt to forestall any hiccups and where the court is blamed by political gladiators, I issued, during the last vacation, a circular that interim orders ex-parte shall not be granted in any political cases brought before the court.


“I believe that controversies, especially in political cases, can be reduced when the court takes a decision after hearing all the parties in the case.


“It is also extremely important that all political cases that may affect any of the parties, which are still in our courts, be concluded without further waste of time to afford all candidates the opportunity to pursue their political ambitions.


“Judges before whom such cases are still pending must endeavour to conclude them before the end of October 2019.”


Justice Kafarati, who noted that democracy only thrives where citizens’ rights are guaranteed and corruption curbed, also stressed that the court and the law remain necessary instruments for regulating any democratic society.


“I urge your lordships to be wary in handling all cases, especially cases concerning human rights and political cases.


“We should again, use this court and the Constitution to regulate our society for the good of our children and mankind. I still believe that the Judiciary remains the hope of all people, whether common or uncommon,” he said.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan has disowned a letter signed in his name and addressed to the President of the International Wealth Creation Bank, Michael Hendricks, Igbere TV reports.


Senator Lawan in a tweet on Monday disowned the letter which was written by a supposed lawyer, Emeka Ani.


The letter dated July 3 said that the Nigerian government would make a payment of $1.6 trillion after $295 has been paid as ‘I.T.C waver’ by Hendricks.


It also said that the government would give permission for an unnamed ‘package’ to be released in New York, United States, through Aims Courier Company in three working days after order has been made.


In an effort to confirm the genuineness of the letter, Mr Hendricks tweeted at Lawan.


“Senate President Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, I am retweeting this Legal Document below to your post as Infallible Proof that you are the genuine authority, originator. I need to know that Nigerian Govt support is transparent, not incognito: Public support is requirement,” Hendricks said.


In response, Lawan said: “Please ignore. It’s fake.”

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, have called Buba Galadima, as first witness to prove their case against President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory during February 2019 elections, Igbere TV reports.


Mr Galadima used to be an ally of Buhari and is a spokesman for the Atiku Campaign Organisation.


He was reportedly arrested and detained by the Department of State Service (DSS) in the heat of the elections after he attempted to declare Atiku winner of the election.


At Monday’s proceedings, Galadima was called to the witness stand after the petitioners’ counsel, Livy Uzoukwu, presented some result sheets of four Local Government Areas of Kano State to the court.


Galadima adopted his witness statement on oath deposed to on March 18, 2019.


He was subsequently cross-examined by the lead counsel for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Yunus Usman.
