Nigerian stocks are useless
In 2008 or there about, I took out 1M to buy stocks then with lead capital. I bought two stocks unity bank shares 100,000 units @ N8 and GoldLink insurance with the remaining balance. My register gave me over drafts which I didn't request for.

They started deducting interest from the overdraft . Without information

Very sad.
Same thing happened to me during my studentship.
I bought shares with the then FINBANK which was later bought by FCMB. The revaluation just collapsed everything and coupled with the fact the Bank was at the brink of collapse. After about 17 years is still the same old story...nothing to show for my brave effort.

Fast forward to 2021. The two stocks are less than N8000 .

I just applied for e dividend. The Guy in the register told me he can't remember any dividend from the two stocks..

After share reconstruction unity bank share is now 9240 unit @ 0.57

While GoldLink insurance 25000 @ 0,20

For ten years. Imagine I invested then on the worse crypto currency

After so many paper work , emails and calls they are yet to pay e dividend. One register Data max insists I must sign the signature I use to buy guarantee bank share about 18 year ago

It is one month since I first apply I have sent reminders The register will tell that they forward your request.

Last week I received N1000 from transcorp.

They are just frustrating and annoying.
Just run from Nigerian stocks

If u are ready to marry.

Pls,u need a capital of not less than 2million naira in your account. Do not just start telling me that u earn 300k because that won't save u when another thing like COvid 19 surfaces.

Many hard working men and women lost their jobs and some relocated to the village because they never had plans for tomorrow.
Family › Re: If Not For Your Wife, Would You Have Married The Time You Did? by ibechris(m): 7:25pm On Oct 28, 2021
My wife really tried for me,if not for her,I would have been single and stupid.

I remembered the day I saw her and we just connected as if we had known each other for a very long time, not knowing she knew me during my under graduate studies at ABSU but I had never seen her before not even in the same school, may be because I wasn't a social person.

Come the toasting, after we exchanged our complimentary cards,I got to know we are both bankers and immediately I told her let us date. She arrange that we see and when we saw,she told me her position, that she does not want a relationship that will not lead to marriage and that I should make my choice...before six months we got married and I have not regretted it for once.

My advice for women is:
Always take a stand when it comes to relationship. Women have more say in relationship than men, If he likes u just as some of them claimed,he will marry u without hesitation. The bottoming is,set a standard for yourself and men will respect u.

And the Oba that went viral telling us how they would push all the igbos into the lagoon won't be charged,I guess!...that tells u that God is good. Rather the people sent the Oba of Lagos packing out of his house and Palace at the same time.

Yeye they smell for this country.

This Ogogoro guy needs to apologise to that lady. I think this is the height of irresponsibility taking too far.
He is more of nuisance to this platform. U can't be talking to a lady with with so much disdain as if u are in a beer parlour.

I feel this guy has reached his peak and nothing normal comes from him other than asking people their age when trying to compare knowledge. I am sure with time he will fizzle out like those idiots who have given us peace today.

U must apologise whether u like it or not. This is demeaning and embarrassing to behold.

Living in South Africa must be harrowing.

How can one link Nigerians to this. Same way the guy who murdered Lucky Dube, said to the Judge in Johannesburg, that he thought Lucky Dube was a Nigerian.

Which means, that Nigerians are better to be killed than South Africans.

Rubbish!

I can't vouch for the following people, site engineers, mechanics, plumbers,Presidents or prime ministers and police men and women.

U see these group of people have done more harm to humanity. Worst amongst them all is; Mechanic.

One of them just stole my friends catalyst converter from a car that is barely three months old. It was unbelievable at first but it became clearer what mechanics do in this country.

For me,I think he deserves more of this kind of beating, because his son knew what the father had done, that was why he took to his heels.

BKayy:
When Eritrea was fighting for independence other oppressed groups in Ethiopia mocked them, supported Ethiopia and still maintained a kind of escape independence arm like Yorubas do with Oduduwa nation but when Eritrea defeated Ethiopia and sacked Addis Ababa, they forced Ethiopia to recognise only their region because like the West said, granting independence to the other groups will upset the balance.

This is exactly what will happen in Nigeria. Granting independence to more than one will upset the balance in the Sahel.
The North (Arewa) needs someone to leach on else they will be exporting terrorists to the North Africa and Europe. That host is mapped out to be Lagos or any South South Group that doesn't leave before Biafra does.
And that Biafran map won't even be what you see today on the D-day.

The balance must be maintained
That is the real truth.
Family › Re: Should I Cut-off My Parents? by ibechris(m): 6:49am On Oct 08, 2021
This is very shocking and honestly,I can't imagine a young man like u going through this crazy journey and still come out strong. Now that u have finished paying that debt that made u lose ur job,I say kudos to u.

Without mincing words,ur father misused the money he was paid, what is paying tithe, buying music equipment,I mean was he owing the church abi is ur family owing the church?

We Africans have this terrible mentality, in fact I don't think ur father is more religious than me and that is the more reason why we should be careful. He has more pressing needs but he could give out the huge sums just to see his family live in a puritanical conditions.

As Africans,u can't run away from ur parents, rather learn how to say no when necessary and do it without hating them, although it's annoying and damn crazy. But take note, that ur dad is not financially literate and situations like this will often be and is likely to continue if drastic steps aren't taking now that things are still manageable before it goes completely bad.

This is the effect of bad (chop I chop) govt without considering the poor.

Now,the poor have risen and would do anything to get what they want. This fight is the hardest anyone can fight because it will be like FAAC in Colombia.

Renegotiate this country if not, more rebels are joining these guys.
One country fighting too many wars at a time.
Bokoharam.
Iswap.
Bandits.
Ipod.
Nigeria can never defeat these fighters at all.
Is either u negotiate or u see this country destroyed.

You people talk as if you have any experience in Real Estate.

Have you built a House for rent before??

Have you gone through the process of collecting rent??

Do you know how long it'll take before he start getting his interest back??

Do you have standby Funds for the Maintenance of the House??
As an estate surveyor, i don't think that the best investment in is rental business. 40% of people invest their money in real estate just for status, why some invest for the other reason best known to them.

Interestingly, without being biased,I think for the longterm gains, real estate might be good and the best but for short term gains,I will advice that treasury bill, bonds and fixed income investments are the best when compare to real estate investment.

The most herculean part of real estate is the aspect of rent collection and maintenance. But with others u don't have to wait to maintain anything nor wait for too long to get ur interest or gains, hence my reason why I settled for bonds, tbill and fixed income.

Any farmer that needs money should go to the bank and stop disturbing people here and there with huge interest just to lure them.

I still don't know why people will use their hard earned money to invest in this sort of business and yet come back to lament. Is it that they didn't do their due diligence or what, abi na juju.

neonly:
Am not good writer please trying to make it short

Everything just falling apart in my house
Sometimes I hear some folks saying I will tolerate rubbish in marriage but honestly it easier say than done if it actually happen to you
Where did I get it wrong sef
We use to be good friends before church matter enter
Now she does nothing in the house
I go to work come back to go to market and cook clean the house wash the children uniforms for the younger ones

All she is interested now is her own career
What my fate when I grow old
Is this not a red flag for me
What will be the fate of my wonderful innocent children how will they feel not growing up with their mother and father together all these are pounding in my head
the issues are too much I can't type it all am really depressed but sha life goes on
But my children what will be their fate
Oga,take it easy life isn't as we all planned but we shall keep on planning. My wife has been a banker for the past 11years, and I have supported her until she became a management staff.
Both of us have found ways to manage our home, employing a nanny,I stay off work to be with my children for two days in a week,I take my time to ensure I pick and drop my wife at her work place since 2015 till date.

However, and my children have never been left behind in all this. I make sure their school bus comes to pick and drop them daily and during their holidays, there is a school teacher to take care of their learnings.
In fact, because I used to have time compare to my wife,I have been the one going to markets to buy food stuffs and my wife does the cooking that would last us for 3months. This we have been doing to run the family of five without being tired for the 5years.

So,why should u divorce your wife when u can supports her to grow in her endeavours? Plan ur family, that is ur priority as a man and divorce will cripple ur household and create a huge void that no other strange woman will be able to fill.

Good luck to u.
