bis, that rhyme is almost perfect na. The end vowel sounds rhymed, right?
Do you mean i should have rhymed both the vowel nd the consonant sounds?
Nah, there's a difference between water and waters. The vowel sound changes when you add the s.

In the middle of work right now, will expatiate later

so "goodluck" doesnt rhyme with shoe stock?
No it doesn't

ELYMAXiimus:
nd i think cautious nd water rhymes. But maybe not a hundred percent.
I'd have to make it "waters" to achieve that..... But that'd be an english blunder.

cautious - /ˈkɔːʃəs/

water - /ˈwɔːtə/
Thats why you can choose a different word that rhymes better
Rap Battles › Re: The Holocaust Tourney [semi-finals] Darkenedrebel Vs Elymaxiimus by Ibime(m): 1:53pm On Jul 10, 2015
My opinion is that Rebel had light punches after long arse build-ups which is a dissapointment to me. If you are going to build up for so long, don't finish with a light punch - that's double dissapointment. At least his rhymes kept things flowing.

ElyMax also did the long-arse build-ups which was made doubly dissapointing because almost all his rhymes are imperfect rhymes. eg cautious is not a perfect rhyme with water, shoe stop is not a perfect rhyme with Goodluck etc etc. When someone has not perfected the art of rhyming, I prefer them to drop the punch ASAP. By the time the punch dropped on Elymax verse, I was losing interest. The punches were harder than Rebel's but not many were fresh concepts in my opinion.

So I'm undecided. Lemme tally up the criteria and see who comes out on top.

opener - 1 point - Max

•rhymes - 2 points - Rebel

•similes/ metaphors - 2 points - Rebel

•punchlines -3 points - Max

•personals - 2 points - Tie

•flow - 1 point - Max

•wordplays - 2 points - N/A (I wasn't impressed with Max's wordplay and Rebel had none)

•closer - 1 point - Rebel

Total:

Max = 5, Rebel = 5

MVGT - Tie

Let the other judges votes break the tie

The English press has gone crazy, quoting £25m+ for every journey man in the market. Even their rumours aren't creative - they just slap stupid prices on players who ain't worth those pennies.

Aldeweireld
Fabian Schar
Pepe Reina
Aleix Vidal
Nani
N'Zonzi
Khedira
Ings
Milner

None of these players cost (much) more than £10m yet they are more proven than some of the clowns being touted for £20m+

Others still on market include Kevin Mirallas for £7m, Begovic for £8m, Jordy Clasie for £10-£12m etc.

Yet these journalists keep pulling fantasy numbers and hyping the market

He's a good player. If we did not have Matic, I would be recommending him for Chelsea. Him and Matic together would be overkill though cos neither would drive forward.

Falcao must be the one taking the shots! cheesy

BTW, surprised we got money for McEachran. Weak ninja who refused to improve his muscles or his stamina. Good riddance. Reminds me of Jon Harley who came through with John Terry and was supposed to be our left-back for years to come, but he could not put an ounce of muscle on his body and failed to make it.

Reports has it that we've made an offer of around £11m per season for three years to Wembley to become our temporary residence while Stamford Bridge is rebuilt.

Good call IMO, one that would unfortunately affect the Chelsea ticket holders based in North London.
Makes little sense considering West Ham are paying £2m a year for the Olympic stadium. If you sell 80000 tickets at £60 average for 30 home games, you'll gross £14.4m. . . . .Policing cost will swallow the difference between £11m and £14m.

Hehe

Someone has got issues with my precocious nature. Mister I'm irrefutably charismatic, deal with it.

Actually I've got nothing against morons like you, someone got to entertain. It's only difficult to argue with a airhead like you on an intellectual level.

If I'm striving for relevance as you opined, then that's a good thing. It goes to show I cherish class and I reach for it. Tell me about you, where do you belong?

I never knew about your username until you decided to project your idiocy on this thread. Which section do you frequent most? Are you known there?

See? I'm giving you reasons to strive for relevance.

I woke up this morning as a christian, don't push me. I have over a million cuss words to rain on you if you don't stop stalking me, and that could still be extended to your cocksucking parents if care is not taken.

You've been warned.
Mr man, your grammar and diction has improved tremendously over the last couple of years. No mind the haters jare. Nairaland is a different form of education where people get to polish their writing skills while chatting with their peers. Every form of learning and self-improvement should be encouraged. God knows I see many Nigerians writing bollocks on NL like "it doesn't worth it" or "I loose my phone". It makes me think that our education system has gone to the dogs.

Raumdeuter used to be the same many years ago, but he polished his diction tremendously on Nairaland. Now you would think he learned English from the Queen of England herself.

Boss did you really sip an alcohol as adviced? cheesy

Looking at it from many angles:

- Even if Falcao earn £180k a week with us, that amount to around £7m for the year all costs inclusive. If you consider the going rate for a Charlie Austin is £16m and Benteke £32m, without including salaries, it's a fairly inexpensive deal. We also no longer have the £80k a week Drogba was costing on our books, so it's more than manageable.

- The report I heard has it that instead of paying the substantial sum of £7m, we only gave Monaco Mario Pasalic on loan. In essence, we get Falcao for free and get to develop one of our most promising prospects in the process.

- With Falcao, Remy and Costa, we are well covered in the striking department. Drogba whom Falcao is replacing, only needed to make minimal contributions last term.

- If Falcao Performs well and Pasalic develops well, it's a big win. If Falcao doesn't perform well but Pasalic develops well, it's still a big win. If both players fail to perform well, then it's a disappointment but more so b'cos of Pasalic than Falcao.

We don't need to wait on Falcao to bang in the goals before this deal get to be considered a success. Looking at it from other angles, we practically nailed a no-risk signing.
Backward reasoning.

We have ready made 3rd striker in Traore at no cost, who is better than Falcao currently.

I don't see how shelling circa £10m for Falcao for one season is good business.

Grab a seat, take a sip of alcohol and think about Falcao's deal, only then will you realise we just pulled out one of the best deals of the summer.
pffft.

Deals are measured by productivity. Because someone priced a molue at £50m does not mean you should be happy to buy it at £10m.

Remy scored double the goals of Falcao in half the minutes last season, so how does paying Falcao £140k (plus £3m loan fee) represent a deal when ninjas like Remy are on £70k. Codswallop!
