nateevs: You cannot play Matic and Fab in every game. With Mikel and Ramires on the bench, you must play Fabregas and Matic every game. Chelsea needs another midfielder. I won't blame Mikel for the goals, just to say we are unbalanced without another decent defensive midfielder so since he's taking a spot on the squad, he must get the blame. BTW, this is the first EPL match Mikel has started thís year. . . and he comes with bad news as usual. |

Mikel your defensive midfielder escorting attacking midfielders again.
Şuch result was bound to happen without another decent defensive midfielder.
The team has been unbalanced all game.
This is Mikels first league start in 2014 by the way. |

nateevs: It's not even Oscar that needs removing, it's Willian, Costa and whoever else that looks tired. And not SChurlle for me. Remy and Drogba. What has Oscar done to stay on pitch? You do realise he's the no10? I haven't seen him on the ball. Also the team did not commit to all out attack cos the defensive midfielder cannot be trusted to snuff out counters. |

AirborneLacer: “I consider Van Ginkel on the same level as Kevin Strootman. He just needs continuity.” Gallani was quoted by Gazetta.
Against Udinese, the loanee had a pass completion rate of 95%, creating two chances for his teammates while finishing the match with three successful tackles in the process.
It really feels great hearing Milan's vice-president Galliani compare Ginkel to Strootman. I for one would go with such comparison, considering that both players' game is all about winning the ball, chiefly by tackling.
Then also by reading the game and intercepting and then passing to a team-mate, turning defence to attack in an instant.
This transition is a key part of our counter-attacking style of play, and I see Ginkel faring fine in it.
I'd keep a close eye on the lad's progress. I'll take the dutch over Mikel anyday anytime.
Nateevs what do you think? Van Ginkel is nothing like Strootman. His touch is too loose. He's more a runner than a foot-on-the-ball player. Galliani is smoking crack. |

chic2pimp: Fair Enough!
But Emenalo did not sign those players without the consent of the coaches or did He? Even If He did, previous coaches would have gotten rid of them if the thought they weren't good enough or no? Leave that politics. There are several accounts of RDM telling Emenalo he needs a new midfielder whilst there is a certified report of boardroom meeting in January 2013 where Benitez argued for a central midfielder and Emenalo vetoed him leading to a serious disagreement sotay Benitez even briefed the press about it. Emenalo always protected Mikel and Ramires spots because he signed Ramires and Mikel is his brother, plus he knows nothing about central midfield play. It's like saying Seedorf was directing team signings rather than Galliani. No manager at Chelsea had any power over team affairs until Jose. |

chic2pimp: Emenalo again? Wetin the Bobo do you nau? Emenalo left us without a functioning central midfield for 2 years which cost us many things. I no go forget easily. If not for Jose, we would still be parading midfield of Mikel-Ramires who Emenalo designated untouchables. |

nateevs: That will include Jose Mourinho. If memory serves me right, he was here until last season and Jose still decided to part with him. It comes from the top. Imagine Jose landing to find Oscar, De Bruyne and Mata, and he say no, I'm going with Lampard. Besides I'm referring to 3 years ago, not today. The main stüpid instigator is Emenalo, who would not know midfield play if it punched him in the face, a ninja who would still be parading Mikel-Ramires midfield if he had his own way. |

@all,
Can Sunderland park the bus effectively against City on Wednesday?
@ Lampard,
The way Lampard produces in the final third just shows how foolish some stüpid people at Chelsea were 3 years ago, when they decided to relegate Lamps to a DM/substitute role and promote some brainless goats to play the AM position only to see Frankie still outproduce them attacking wise. |

Nihilist: Ledley was definitely extremely intelligent, but he was made of glass.
I heard he was having weekly injections into his knee towards the end of his career. Probably the only reason I'll discount his 'brute' status.
But was Sol Campbell intelligent? I seem to remember him as a Mangala style defender though Ledley was an intelligent 'animal', nigga so intelligent that when his knee cartilage eroded, he played Premierleague for 7 years without training. He swims in the swimming pool Monday-to-Friday, then plays match on Saturday. Sol was positionally excellent. You can't catch him out of position. |
