BascoVanVeli: We play Egypt that same week so how can u ensure our best legs are coming? To fly out we have to buy plane tickets apply for visas(which also cost money) hotels etc. We have been globe trotting for years with nothing to show for it. The Egypt game IMHO cannot prevent us from gathering the best of the U23 players. Oliseh and Siasia should come to an agreement/arrangement. The likes of Moses Simon and Keneth Omeruo can be with Oliseh since they are already full Senior players. But players like Iheanacho, Iwobi, Success, Madu, Azubuike, Etebor, Ezekiel, and the whole rest of the U23 stars should be with Siasia. I would like to see how Iwobi, Etebor, Iheanacho and Success combine to terrorize oppositions. These are the people I want to watch play. |

BascoVanVeli: With all this talent we might end up needing 2 different teams. Ahhh That's y Siasia needs those friendlies now. We need to maximize all the FIFA free windows. We need to test all these players and select the best 15 (plus 3 over-aged players) for the Olympics. I have given up hopes on the current crop of Super Eagles players (major reason I hardly comment on that Super Eagles thread). This Olympic Team to me is more important than that Super Eagles. If the Dream Team vs Brazil friendly is played simultaneously with the Nig vs Egy game, I prefer to watch the Dream Team game. All those Super Eagles? we done see them finish, na jst to select the young and useful ones among them and merge them with the current U23 and start preparing for Russia 2018 Qualifiers. |

terzurum5: Onuachu: I Expected More From United, Midtylland Can Beat Them Again FC Midtjylland’s Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has aimed a jibe at Manchester United after he and his colleagues humiliated the English giants on Thursday night.
Onuachu, who came on as a second half substitute to score the winner as the Danish champions shocked United 2-1 in a Europa League round of 32 first leg clash, said he expected more of a test from the struggling Red Devils.
Memphis Depay had put United ahead in the first-half but Pione Sisto equalised on the stroke of half-time.
“We expected more from Manchester United. We are positive to go there and achieve,” Onuachu said.
“I think it’s fantastic! A dream come true to play against Manchester United.

BascoVanVeli: Neymar has already made it known that he will be at the Olympics, it is the only competition Brasil has never won. The same people cheering this move will be the one's complaining that players and coaches don't get paid but now when we can cut costs nobody seems to like that but u can't have ur cake and eat it too. Doing the same thing over expecting to get a different result is insanity. Cut cost? We advocate adequate preparations and not jst cost cutting. I would rather that game be played anywhere in Europe; preferably in England. Most of our U23 hopefuls are in Europe. The few locally based ones can be arranged to Team-up with the Europe based ones. If we want to cut cost it should be on the number of officials, their family members and friends that will accompany the team. Not in the name of cutting cost u take the team to one of those our bumpy pitches to face a West African neighbor putting the players at injury risks If the game would be in England, after playing Brazil, the team can play any Lower League English Club side say abt 3 days after. Siasia has a large pool of players to select from so he needs lots of competitive friendly games to effectively select the best and prune down the Team. |

The Dream Team VI handler is keen on parading his best legs for the international friendly against A Seleção on March 24 Nigeria U23 coach Samson Siasia has revealed plans to invite the duo of Alex Iwobi and Taiwo Awoniyi for next month’s international friendly against Brazil U23.
The Dream Team VI boss says he has limited time to prepare his boys for the 2016 Olympics, and will use the game against Rogério Micale’s side to help bring targeted players together and blend them ahead of the competition.
“We have barely six months to the Olympics and I want to ensure we play international friendly matches within the Fifa window between now and August,” Siasia told SportingLife.
“That way we can bring our targeted players to play together and blend well. But this can only be done if they play together frequently and against good opponents.”
Siasia is also KAA Gent forward Peter Olayinka and Tottenham’s Nathan Oduwa. Oduwa made 19 appearances for Glasgow Rangers before heading to the White Hart Lane.
Captain Azubuike Okechukwu, Victor Osimhen are likely to get an invite to prosecute the international friendly against the south Americans. http://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/11252/nigeria-u23/2016/02/15/20371162/siasia-to-invite-arsenals-iwobi-awoniyi-for-brazil-friendly?ICID=AR_RS_2 Awoniyi. That guy is nt an U23 material to me. He should b left to focus on his club career and then feature at d next U20 WC and develop along with Osimhen, K Nwakali, Chukwueze, Chidera Eze, Awaziem, Sadiq Umar and co. Awoniyi IMHO opinion is nt even among our top 5 U23 CF. I would personally raise questions if Awoniyi and Osimhem are invited ahead of Isaac Success, Imoh Ezekiel, Aaron Samuel, Chisom Chikatara and Junior Ajayi. Siasia by now should know players he wants to invite for d Olympics. We should expect to c @ least 3 of the 5 strikers i listed above in that Brazil friendly. |

BlackAlbino6: Nigerian striker wanted in £8m deal Watford have targeted Granada striker Isaac Success for a summer swoop and potentially replace Odion Ighalo if the Nigerian is sold.
Isaac Success (Pictured below)
Reports of an impending deal between the two Pozzo family-owned clubs began in Nigeria but have now spread to Spain and Italy.
Success is expected to fetch at least £8million - a similar fee to the one Watford will pay Granada for Adalberto Penaranda in a deal that was agreed in January.
The Hornets have reportedly offered Success a four-year deal worth £20,000 a week, although the Nigerian is understood to want more - £50,000-a-week - to make the move.
The 20-year-old has scored only four La Liga goals for the struggling Spanish club this season but has shown signs of real promise in recent matches against Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The Guangzhou R&F star and his intermediary Atta Aneke, who has been in Marbella, Spain since Sunday, had a meeting with a CSKA Moscow director on Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly before 1600 hours Nigerian time, Samuel finally appended his signature to the contract after he went through the document with his agent for the last time.
The 21-year-old will remain on loan at CSKA Moscow until May 31, 2016, with the club having the option of acquiring him on a permanent basis in the summer. http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=17934

TheGoodJoe: Definitely. I believe it is just a case of inexperience. The more experiences he gets, the more he will act professionally on the pitch. That is why the likes of Yaya, Bony and Clichy spend a lot of time talking to him and advising him.
When they reach the locker room that they, they will talk to him about it. As a sharp boy, he will take his lessons and improve.
He is young and he will make mistakes. Reminds me of how reports came of Drogba and Essien scolding Mikel when he came late for a Chelsea training. Mikel learnt and we never got that kind of complaint again. See bros, u guys probably dnt know that that goal meant more to Iheanacho himself than what it meant to Mancity. It was really a career booster to d kid and that is how every teanager would react in a time like that. I know what Iheanacho did didn't go down well with d more established City players but to me Iheanacho reacted d way he was supposed to react as a teenager after scoring such a big goal. |

joseph1013: Make Henry go siddon somewhere. The same players that sang for him when he scored the hattrick!
It was 15 minutes to the end of a crucial league-chasing match and you are behind, then a player scored an equalizer but instead of him to quickly take the ball and chase the winning goal, he ran off to the far end of the corner flag to celebrate. Well, you can't blame him too much, he is a kid. Henry is either drunk or just wants to say something because he is an analyst. Man City wanted to quickly restart the game to win the match. As soon as he scored, Aguero was seen carrying the ball to the centre-line for a quick restart. Even when Kompany went to Kelechi, it was to urge him to cut short the celebration. Zabaleta was heard shouting for Kelechi to come and restart the game.
Anyone who understand the EPL would see that a win for Man City would have gotten them back in contention for the league title. City needed to win that match badly. Yeah. Well spoken. Bt dat doesnt stop one or two players from celebratin with him. Sure u saw Theo Walcott's celebration after d equalizer against Leicester. He ran and Ramsey followed him. He did nt even run towards Giroud hu made d assist. By and large, i dnt blame Iheanacho in any way. Scoring in a game of dat magnitude no b beans. That game jst like d Arsenal vs Leicester was like a cup final. |

terzurum5: Henry: Why did no Man City players celebrate with Iheanacho? https://static.goal.com/2689400/2689482_heroa.jpg The former Arsenal striker found it "weird" that the Nigerian's team-mates were muted in their reaction to his equalising goal in their 2-1 defeat against Tottenham on Sunday.
Thierry Henry has questioned the togetherness within the Manchester Citysquad by pointing out the lack of a celebration after Kelechi Iheanacho's equalising goal against Tottenham.
The Nigerian forward cancelled out Harry Kane's second-half penalty but Christian Eriksen scored a late winning goal for Spurs to earn the visitors a crucial three points.
The defeat sees City remain six points behind Premier League leaders Leicester City and Henry believes the muted way in which Manuel Pellegrini's players reacted to drawing level was telling. https://u.goal.com/2689900/2689962.jpg "I know you have to go and get the ball back [to ensure a quick restart with the score level at 1-1 at the time] but no one went to celebrate with Iheanacho," Henry told Sky Sports.
"That's something that, I don't know… you scored a goal, go and celebrate with the guy. 'Let's go, get the ball back'. No one went to celebrate with him. He was in the corner there.
"I think [Vincent] Kompany went with him and someone else but that's it. Maybe I'm reading too much between the lines about that Man City team but no one went to celebrate with him, that's a bit weird." m.goal.com/x/en-ng/news/4071/premier-league/2016/02/14/20350042/henry-why-did-no-man-city-players-celebrate-with-iheanacho Yeah I noticed that too but initially decided not to read much meanings into it. Such a big and crucial goal at a crucial time and in a crucial game. And his team-mates couldn't celebrate with him. I smell one word: BEAF! Could it be connected to his Champion League place ahead of Samir Nasri? Just asking. |

It further supports the theory that playing time for youngsters is overrated. Isaac Success is in the wrong club. Period! He is better than in that Granada he is playing. Playing with excellent players, excellent coaching crew and excellent facilities brings out the best in a young player. His agent should help him out of that club fast before he goes the way of Macauley Crisantus. Or better still he goes back to Udinese. |

Honestly I feel like charging all my lecturers to court for not teaching well. We have had alot of incompetent lecturers. Coursework I had low marks , I began to understand them. its good to revisit these courses to have a refreshed memory and knowledge . Honestly you can still gain that academic excellence you couldn't get when you were in school. I can identify with what u are saying. There are several things our lecturers mystified in school those days. Most of them don't really have in-depth understanding of those things they were saying which was mainly y they struggled to impart the knowledge. I studied Geology and I practice Geology today. Sometimes I feel like going back to school to start dishing out slaps to those our yeye lecturers. I lecture Industrial Trainess (ITs) in my office, even things that are much advanced than there level of study. I set tests for them. Even those on 2:2 or 3:1 still score excellent marks. Cant wait to watch this team play! True talk bro. With the 3 goalies added to ur list that makes an 18-man squad already. Remember there are still good players like Udochukwu Anumudu, Orji Okonkwo, Kingsley Michael, Zakari Hilaru among others. There are still some that will join from the local league. That team will storm the world. Most of them have already signed professional contracts both in Europe and in Nigeria and already gathering plenty of experience. Imagine what Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze would have turned out to be by then after playing with the Arsenal youth teams. This was the point I was trying to make with the 2015 Flying Eagles; they were mostly Nigerian academy players and were lacking in experience. The 2017 U20 is expected to be far better.
