It takes a while to naturalize in Europe. It took my family friend ten years to naturalize in Cyprus (South) and he was studying and working there. I know some people who have been in the States for almost two decades and they haven't gotten their papers yet. They came as students, graduated and have been working ever since with top firms in the States. The Canadian PR route you mentioned is an exception and not the norm.

Yours is a different ball gamez when I use the word having documents I meant a legal right to work not necessarily a PR. Having a work permits gives you a document to work in that land unlike what illegal aliens go through.

The US is special because of their peculiar immigration laws that makes it a quota based system unlike Canada that make it a point based system or point based system. You can seamlessly have a work visa post studies even if it takes you a decade to have a PR you already have a document to continue to work wherever you find yourself.

My point was that illegal migrants who usually pass through hell should never be in the position to advice legal migrants who are in tandem with the laws of the host and have every approvals to function legally.

This is same mindset that made me separate from my ex, my money is not to be invested on a liability who will look for the next available man should anything happen to my finances.

As for 5 it's not about been poor but about them seeing you as a means to escape poverty, this will result in their financial status increasing and yours decreasing leading to your bankruptcy because everyone is ready to take from you but never give you. Some persons are from poor family but have attitude to work and care for their own individual responsibilities but others see a potential man as a means to escaping poverty. As for the case of divorcee, in few cases where I have wanted to go ahead with the relationship it wasn't palatable. One had so much hate for the father that I can't take the risk of even dating her because she will transfer those aggressions to the nearest man she is in with but the other I gave her the benefit of the doubt and went ahead to date her but it ended in regrets.
Most times she will tell me the dating advice her divorcee mum tell her as regards our relationship, believe me those advices are not what will keep a relationship long term. They were are selfish, self centered advices necessary to rip the man her daughter was dating which will always result to the demise of their relationship.

People are different one can meet a lot of great ladies from single mum homes but it's actually because the number of people who aren't damaged psychologically are very few. Imagine a systemic transfer of aggression from mother to child giving all sorts of bad reputation about their fathers and men in generally, most of these ladies ladies grow up to see men in these light.

I have been in this scenario before, the day I started hearing bullshit about her dad from her mouth even when her dad contributes to her living expenses while she expects zero responsibilities from her mother even when both of them are divorced. I have her the benefit of the doubt until she actually made a statement like "my mum's mouth is sharper than a knife that is where I got my talking and anger issues from maybe that's may even be the reason why they divorced". If that's the reason why then show contempt when relating with your father while loving the mum , meanwhile the father even left the only house he built to go and rent a house as a tenant in order for the child and mum to have accommodation is the person you talk about so badly. He is within his rights to send her parking from his home because there was no minor she is taking care of but he didn't because of what his actions portray to his kids.
