Uju is my middle name so I doubt I will pick up any stalkers.

Haven't even mentioned my town

Thanks for your concern though.[/quote]You've given out more than enough information for any jobless but serious stalker to work with and eventually nail you down.
It won't be rocket science picking out Uju,an only daughter of a rich biz man, read computer eng. at KNUST. Kumasi is a small town you know.

All na one chance bus anyways,a cleaner deserves some feeling good once-in-a-while,a dreamer has the right to sleep on.Not doubting your story though but I'd lie if i say I got the point of the thread.

@Ifyalways the guy is 32yrs old. I know he is using Iphone but not necessarily that he told me as at d time he bought it. I really want to get married which is why I am bothered.

I've tried to make him understand that its never the same for a man & a woman. He can afford to give himself time but I don't have that same luxury. Since we got back together again, I've not had any other relationship cos I don't want to get distracted. This was why I asked him to let me in on his plans, at least I deserve to know since am supposedly part of the plan but he was not forthcoming except that we should work on ourselves and pray. My question still remains for how long more?
I don't know any reason men sometimes try to make it difficult for us women. He bought and is using his Iphone without hinting you so why raise a storm cos you got urself a BB . . and If you were to be a poor broke azz student I'd understand his worries but 30 and gainfully employed, say what  shocked
I don't know how he said it but I don't understand why you should apologize,I wud have subtly but playfully reminded him that he never told me when he got his Iphone.Could he be a control freak?I'd leave you to be the judge.  undecided

At 30 and as someone who wud love to join the marriage wagon,You should not be trying to make him understand after 8 years of courtship,He should know that you ain't getting younger and you ought to be open to other men.You are not married until you marry. No wisdom in building your world around 1 dude.

You guys have fasted, prayed and worked on yourself for 8 solid years,do you think God haven't heard or you guys are so carried away in the spirit that you couldn't hear that still small voice? No need going round in circles, the options im seeing are:

Can you afford to wait a few years more?

Would you call him up and ask him in clear terms what his plans for the relationship are?Be very clear,no mincing words.

Open up your heart to meet new men.

More prayers but take time out to listen to God.

Good luck.

Do you really want to get married,as in, do you desire to get married(some ladies say they don"t)?

Aside this guy,are you seeing another person, other marriage offers?

Do you know the type of phone and laptop your guy is using, does he share those details with you cos If he does not,he has no business getting angry at you.

How old is the guy?

He has now become semi-stingy.What I used to get with just a kiss during our dating days,I have to get it now by swinging on the chandlers  sad

Dude has become a Washroom pop-star overnight. Its not funny having to endure, tolerate and finally get used to having him sing meaningless,off-key songs every time he steps into the bathroom.

He now plays less with me,spends all his time playing with his boys, our kids.  embarassed

He farts recklessly and anyhow in the house especially in the mornings and when i do complain or flee,he shouts "Na you gimme chop"  angry

He became a better cook.Makes perfect soups and stews. kiss

Beeping/Flashing his phone does not perform the magic anymore.Men sef, then I could flash him 100 times a day and he wud ring back for each flash but now,for where cheesy ,even sms sef no too dey move am. angry

Marcus and Knorkle, which kain Russian programs/robots una be?

@Ariblaze,what's hazy about my reply?Simply put,I have no problem with the word marriage or getting into it but I believe the problem(If any) lies with the 2 individuals getting into marriage.
If you don't get your priorities right, set goals and achieve them,be able to sieve out dreams/illusions from reality and whats obtainable, know your needs, wants and available resources, can't resolve conflicts amicably and move on etc when single there is no way you can make it work when married.

This discussion should honestly be btwn you and your wife.

Is your wife employed, into business,a student or just stay at home?

What kind of work do you do?Im asking just so I'd know if there are, aside your basic salary, room for egunje and lil'but consistent stipends to be made here and there.

Do you have some free hours in your hands? You can start side hustling too.

Please does your wife to be know how much you earn now? This is very important, don't lie to her,let her know beforehand so she won't have dreams that wud soon turn to nightmares.

Do you have dependents, family, siblings? How do u intend to reduce what you give out now?

Please you and ur wife should not forget to go for Family Planing.Very important.

^Kind of new to me.Never heard/seen such. The only thing I can recall that faintly comes close to this(ie whip fight) is "Iba mmuo" where new entrants are flogged by older members in a bid to test their strength.Even that is done in camera and at night.

@Topic,Mgba IMO is one of our many traditions/sports that have/is gradually gone/going into oblivion thanks to White Man Religion. Some would argue that its evil, dedicated or celebrated in honor to some god while same person would pay to watch TNA, WWE ,Kickboxing etc. Can it get any funnier than that? angry

Mine is more of changes after motherhood:

Stopped my lust for eating "buka made amala".Before, once I step into a new city or area,my first port of call is the area's best amala joint, hubby and family have since given up on me.Arrival of my kids made the difference though Im still fighting the urge.lolz

Stopped taking my home made and soul nourishing "monkey tail".

Became more conscious of my spending habits and finance.

My intimate libido increased too.I "thought" I was the good ol' girl,boy-oh-boy,Im even surprised at myself.haha egwu dikwa.

@Denzel,Double standards indeed. Now that the table is turned:

Harakiri and Richvcunt concluded the OP is fake hence they did not offer their usual advice for women in troubled marriages which is "have patience, get daring in bed, cook his best meal yada yada"

CC suggested the man slaps back as opposed to her trademark "work on your marriage, pray and open communication lines".Anyway a hot slap could as well be a means of "communicating"LOL

Its mad funny, the hypocrisy.double standards and gallery dancing on here.

I just hope the OP acts wisely as he'd be the one in pain(hes already in one) if he looses it even for a minute.

Good gracious,Leilah is still with the Igbo 'anal freak'? Patience, communication, good(albeit uncomfortable and painful) s3x and making wonderful meals does wonders to a troubled marriage.

@Leilah,im curious here, why are you on pills?why don't you want to have a baby for my brother? Is that the mutual agreement? Is it possible he is treating you this way cos of ur childless decision?
