Book, chapter and verse.
This question is like asking people to show you from the bible where it says "" that the celebration of rama savani (a hindu holiday)"" is a pagan holiday........

My bro abandon pagan holidays and cling to Jesus' instructions.......

It is only pagans who celebrate the birthdays of their Gods......

Ihedinobi: loling at bolded. Ignoring the obvious inconsistencies and questionability of that bolded six-word statement, there is the funny way that you actually use these translations "authored" by supposed trinitarians. Tell me that you don't keep trying to correct them. Wonderful usage.

If you dared to face me with the JW Bible, you would earn lessons on how to dribble a person down in their own backyard. I wouldn't even bother with retranslating or correcting your version. I'd just point out all the glaring inconsistencies and contradictions in it. Can you and have you ever done that with any of the "trinitarian" versions? Have you, in fact, done anything other than continue to retranslate and correct them? Have you ever taken them at face value and then shown how they fail to maintain consistency?

At best, you play translations off against one another. And look at the depth of your dishonesty. Which versions were authored by trinitarians? Then again, are you daring to imply that all the versions that you argue using were translated and edited by trinitarians? Do you want to defend that statement?

Friendly warning: beware sweeping statements!
You always make me laugh mr dinobi.....

Prove me wrong with the translations I used up there.....

Face the main issue man....

When I came up into this forum I vowed that I'll not use the NWT.....so that I won't be termed ""bias""....

So I'm sticking to my rules........

And you are just ranting.....we both have been engaged in discussing this trinity gibberish over time....

What more is there to discuss??

Now where is your biblical proof that all you said about Christmas is true. Show us where the Bible says that Christmas is a pagan practice.

If it is not in the Bible, where did you get it from and why do you believe it?
And why d hell are u yelling @ her and telling her to shut up??

Show me from the scriptures where Jesus himself celebrated his own birth day......

And why shouldn't xmas be wrong??

It has paganism written all over it.....

##The customs and rites surronding the celebration of xmas::::pagan....

Every single thing about christmas has no dealing with the scriptures......

Instead of you to quietly show her from the scriptures(as a good bible student) that christmas is supported or not supported by the bible, you just tell told her to ""shut up""

Is that what Jesus would do??

Segun agagu: I stumbled on dis wen I was going through d bible..1samuel 18:10.
Not the way you think bro.....

In 1 samuel 16:14 we are informed that ""the spirit of the LORD departed from saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him"" (kjv)..

In this case we can see an application of the principle indicated by Jesus @ matthew 12:43-45,namely,that if the mind and life are not filled with the spirit of GOD,then they are open to invasion of demon spirits..it is not that GOD(Yahweh) actually sent an evil spirit to trouble saul, but by removing his holy spirit from the disobedient king(saul) a vacancy was left,a vacancy that was promptly filled by a bad spirit or mental inclination....since Yahweh made the evilly inclined possession possible by the removal of his holy spirit,Yahweh is reffered to as the source of the evil spirit..

Deut. 22:5 applies to us today. Even though we are not under

God is always an abomination. (This is based off of Rev. 21:27,
which says that "no one who practices abomination" (KJV) will

Since pants are men’s apparel,
it is an abomination for a woman to wear pants. Simple.

Christianity EtcRe: Do You Think Jesus Is God? If Yes Then Answer These Questions by ijawkid(m): 8:00am On Oct 08, 2012
Goshen360: Many people are still confused about the subject of God......lolz. God is not a name of one being. The Father is called God. Jesus is called God and the Holy Spirit is NOT a force or power but also God. They all have their personal names stills that distinguished them one from another. This is what the concept of God says in the Bible.

@ OP, Do you think Jesus is God? The simple answer is YES! But Jesus is NOT the Father neither is He the Holy Spirit.

Romans 9:5,

New International Version (©1984)
Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.

New Living Translation (©2007)
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are their ancestors, and Christ himself was an Israelite as far as his human nature is concerned. And he is God, the one who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

English Standard Version (©2001)
To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

Amplified Bible (AMP)
To them belong the patriarchs, and as far as His natural descent was concerned, from them is the Christ, Who is exalted and supreme over all, God, blessed forever! Amen (so let it be).

And I heard Jesus himself say this,

New International Version (©1984)
And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. John 17:5

What is this "glory" that he talked about? I will not guess. Let the bible explain itself using scriptures to explain scriptures.

New International Version (©1984)
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2. He was with God in the beginning.

Here in verse 2, the Word is NOW personified as "He".....note.

14. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1-2, 14.

This is the glory Jesus talked about in John 17:5. He was with God BEFORE the creation and John made us understand He is also God. The earlier you guys start to understand that scripture does not use the name "God" for one being, the earlier you understand the scripture. Otherwise, we can as well tear scriptures apart and void verses that calls Jesus Christ God.
You don't have to tear scriptures$$$$...

All you have to do is read the scriptures completely, and let the scripture explain itself...

I replied your question in the other post ....you can go check it...

Meanwhile start comparing the wrong transliteration of romans 9:5 from the translations you quoted from with ephesians 4:6 and see if they don't contradict.....

You youself know that Christ can't be God over all, except Yahweh has been assasinated....

If you are convinced that Yahweh is the Father and God of Jesus Christ you would look for translations that render romans 9:5 the right way and which is in agreement with the rest of the bible......

But as I can see goshen u aren't even sure...

Rather you hold on to the trinity so tight that you failed to read romans 15:5,6 which refutes the thought of Jesus being the God over all, since he(Jesus) has a God over him....
Christianity EtcRe: A Proposition For Theological Debate by ijawkid(m): 7:46am On Oct 08, 2012
@goshen.....

Let's critically consider pauls terminology through all his books and then juxtapose it with romans 9:5,.....then you would see that the problem of punctuation, and clear understanding of that verse is what has led you to hold on to translations that say Christ is God over all(which is impossible)...
Why??....because Christ is under someone!!!!!.......

1. Pauline Terminology: Eulogetes
A review of some similar expressions in the
Bible, and especially from Paul, is required
so that one can examine his vocabularly,
writing style and thought. The first two
passages are not Paul's, however, they are
included to show that all New Testament
occurrences of the word eulogetes that is also used in romans 9:5
("Blessed be"wink exclusively refer to God the
Father.
"Are you the Christ, the Son of the
Blessed One." (Mark 14:61).
"Blessed be the Lord, the God of
Israel." (Luke 1:68).
"They changed the truth of God into a
lie and worshiped and served the
creature rather than the Creator who
is blessed to the ages.
Amen." (Romans 1:25).
"Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Corinthians 1:3).
"Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ." (Ephesians 1:3).
Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 1:3).
"They changed the truth of God into a
lie and worshiped and served the
creature rather than the Creator who
is blessed to the ages.
Amen" (Romans 1:25).
"The God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ knows that I am not lying, he
being blessed to the ages." (2
Corinthians 11:31).
"one God and Father of all, he over all
and through all and in all."
(Ephesians 4:6).
"from whom the Christ according to
the flesh. God who is over all be
blessed to the ages. Amen." (Romans
9:5).
Notice how the above translation of
Romans 9:5 harmonizes perfectly with the
rest of the Scripture verses while the
Trinitarian translation does not. Every
single occurrence of the Greek word
eulogetes ("blessed be"wink in the New
Testament is a direct reference to God
the Father. The Trinitarian apologist would
have us believe that Romans 9:5 should be
one exception.
The word eulogetes is variously translated
as "be praised" or "be blessed." The
"Blessed be" is the Jewish berakah, an
ascription of praise to God the Father. The
phrase appears to be an allusion to Psalm
41:13, "Blessed be the LORD God of Israel
from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen,
and Amen." And the only instance where
Pauls says someone is "over all" in this
manner is at Ephesians 4:6 where we find
God the Father is the one identified as
being "over all."
........

Again I repeat....:::

Christ can't be the God over all, except trinitarians have killed Yahweh...

Again it will contradict the whole bible to pick up just 1 verse that has been disputeÐ by fellow trinitarians to prove that Jesus is God over all.....

Jesus himself said @ john 20:17...

New International Version (©1984)
Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have
not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to
my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to
my ""Father and your Father"", to ""my God and
your God"".'"
........

We and Jesus cannot be sharing the same God and Father and then still run into conclusion that Jesus is the God over all.....

That would be madness.....

Ephesians 4:6 and 1 corinthians 8:6 teLls us who is the God over all...

Yahweh is the God over Jesus, the angels,we humans and everythin....
Christianity EtcRe: A Proposition For Theological Debate by ijawkid(m): 7:02am On Oct 08, 2012
Goshen360: @ Frosbel and Ijawkid,

Okay, another scriptures for you that Apostle Paul believed and called Jesus God. Since you guys are now disapproving the Kjv, I will quote from many other translations. Romans 9:5

Amen.

International Standard Version (©2008)
To the Israelites belong the patriarchs, and from them, the Messiah descended, who is God over all, the one who is forever blessed. Amen.

GOD'S WORD® Translation (©1995)
The Messiah is descended from their ancestors according to his human nature. The Messiah is God over everything, forever blessed. Amen.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English (©2010)
And the Patriarchs; and from them The Messiah appeared in the flesh, who is The God Who is over all, to Whom are praises and blessings to the eternity of eternities, amen.

American Standard Version
whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

After am done showing scriptures from the bible the deity of Christ, I will proceed to that of the Holy Spirit as God. Meanwhile, this question is also @ Frosbel and Ijawkid,

Since you both believe the Holy Spirit is a force and not distinct from God's spirit, Frosbel had said God is Spirit according to John 4:24......HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR SPIRIT TO HAVE SPIRIT.....if the Holy Spirit is just God's spirit and not distinct from God huh Can a Spirit have spirit huh.......FROSBEL, I NEED YOU TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION.
Romans 9:5 was even renditioned better again by your fellow trinitarians....translation issues are @ it again.....

Let us read those translations, then you will find out that you can't just pick a scripture to defend that Christ is God over all ,while the other thousand of scritpures says Yahweh is the most high and God over all with Jesus included........

Let's look @ other trinitarian translations...

"Theirs the patriarchs, and from them,
according to the flesh, is the Messiah.
God who is over all be blessed forever.
Amen." (NAB)
........

"to them belong the patriarchs, and of
their race, according to the flesh, is
the Christ. God who is over all be
blessed for ever. Amen." (RSV).
.........

Good News Translation (GNT)
5 they are descended from the
famous Hebrew ancestors; and Christ, as a
human being, belongs to their race. May God,
who rules over all, be praised forever![b]
Amen.

......

Do you see how rightly punctuated that verse is from those 3 trinitarian translations....

And there are other translators who agree to these...let me list them all of them......

Revised Standard Version, New Revised
Standard Version, Todays English Version,
New English Bible, Revised English Bible, New
American Bible, The Modern Langauge Bible
(New Berkeley Version), The Living Bible,
Contemporary English Version, The
Translator's New Testament. Aswell as those
translations by R.F.Weymouth, W.Barclay,
C.B.Williams, E.Goodspeed; The Bible- An
American Translation, J.B.Phillips,
H.J.Schonfield, C.K.Williams and J.Moffatt....

I'll like you to read these comments from the dictionary of NT theology as regards romans 9:5

The New
International Dictionary of New Testament
Theology:
"Rom. 9:5 is disputed...It would be easy, and
linguistically perfectly possible to refer the
expression to Christ. The verse would then
read, 'Christ who is God over all, blessed for
ever. Amen.' Even so, Christ would not be
equated absolutely with God, but only
described as a being of divine nature, for the
word theos has no article. But this ascription
of majesty does not occur anywhere else in
Paul. The much more probable explanation is
that the statement is a doxology directed to
God."-(Grand Rapids, Mich.; 1976), Vol. 2, p.80.

.......
Also John Ziesler in his book Pauline Christianity
(Revised edition 1990, Oxford University
Press 'Oxford Bible Series' ) comments:
"In facing the question of the relationship of
Christ to Yahweh we must not outrun the
evidence and read into Paul's language the
Fourth Century definition of Christ as God the
Son, co-equal and co-eternal, of one substance
with the Father. Paul's language is one of the
factors leading to that definition, and also
part of the problem it attempted to solve, but
it would be anachronistic to interpret his
language in such later terms. Perhaps he
preferred 'Lord' as a title because of its
ambiguity, because it established Christ's
relation to humanity, church, and cosmos,
without too closely defining his relation to
Yahweh. As a Jewish monotheist Paul would
wish neither to be accused of believing in two
Gods, nor that Yahweh died on the cross. The
only place in the undisputed letters where he
may equate Christ with God is Rom.9:5 if a full
stop is not placed after 'Christ', so that it
reads '...of their race...is the Christ who is God
over all...' More probably it should read '....of
their race...is the Christ. God who is over all be
blessed....'..

........

Now another wahÀla is if you cling to the other translations that say Christ is God over all(ofcus excluding Yahweh,I don't know if you know),then you might have to Çontend with what paul later writes in that same book of romans that contradicts the translations you are holding so dearly to....
....
Let's read romans 15:5,6...
New International Version (NIV)
5 May the God who gives endurance and
encouragement give you the same attitude of
mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,
6 so that with one mind and one voice you may
glorify the ""God and Father"" of our Lord Jesus
Christ.
......

Question::::

How can Christ(Jesus) who has been proclaimed God over all according to the translations you are holding to ,still have a GOd over Him??.....

Food for thought my brother goshen.......

I want you to fling the trinity dogma and do your researches well and then come say the truth.....

You guys are forcing the trinity on the bible....

Any bible student who knows that Christ has a God and Father would go back to really investigate roman 9:5 to come out with a better exegesis, rather than just relax and hold on to the trinity dogma.....

1 corinthians 15:24-28 clearly tells us that,in the end when Christ hands over the kingdom to his Father and God (Yahweh), then Yahweh would show that he is God over all........

Ihedinobi: @frosbel

My God! But I so pity you, frosbel. Why do I still retain hope that you will come to your senses? You are dancing around so much, but I pray, oh, how I pray that that which is Christ may be found within you and you be brought home again.

My friend, your confusion is great. I can understand about you questioning everything. Like I said, every believer passes through that phase where they intelligently apprehend who they are and what sets them apart from everyone else. If you're in that phase, may the Lord bring you through. May this stubbornness not be the product of a heart hardened against the Lord. May your utterances be forgiven you and the Lord restore you.

I pray for you, frosbel. I pray that you grasp the Lord's Mercy and be hurled back to safety. Said He not that His hand is not too short to save? I know that He can save to the uttermost. May the Lord Jesus save you. How I pray, how I desire, how I wish, frosbel, that you have not sealed your fate. May you not wander from His Presence forever. May you remember again who you are. If only there may be found even one small particle of Christ in you, oh Father, grant that there may be that which is Christ in frosbel that he may be brought home again.

What can I say to you, frosbel? Words and tears mean nothing for a hardened heart. Threats and consequences cannot prevent that which has broken from the root and the foundation. Even these words may remain here as a monument for others, but for you it could end up as condemnation. If only...... It matters not what you have said, frosbel, who may have been misled by your words. Father will take care of it all if you will just return and take hold of His Mercy.

Perhaps I shouldn't care, but I most certainly do. That's why I keep responding even after I say that I will not.

Frosbel, COME HOME.
He should come home to trinity??

Ihedinobi: Bla bla bla............ What else is new? Don't you guys cherrypick translations? You even cherrypick across translations. You twist and turn passages that you decide the RCC mistranslated. You delete verses. You say right in the face of a verse that it does not say what it says. There are no worse liars than people who lie right in the presence of Truth. Such liars are incurable.

Can you show one passage that any "Trinitarian" has attempted to retranslate? Can you show any example of a "Trinitarian" saying that any translation is wrong just to support the doctrine of the Trinity? Have you guys ever neglected to make the excuse that the stronger RCC forced meanings and verses into all translations of the Scriptures to make them speak of the Trinity?

In fact, I don't have a problem taking you guys on with your very own Bible, the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. Boomark couldn't handle the heat, do you think you can? Believe me, your heart has to be hardened like granite and your conscience numb like a frost-bitten toe for you to insist that the Trinity is unbiblical. Goshen360: NLT translation which is one of Frosble's favourite translations proves it better.......@ Frosbel, who is Peter refering to as God in II Peter 2:1, NLT huh
Goshen my bro....

What do u have to say abouth this rendition from the american standard version??

American Standard Version
Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus
Christ, to them that have obtained a like
precious faith with us in the righteousness of
our God and the'saviour Jesus Christ:
......

The trinity will always make u guys hold on to cherry picked verses that is never congruent with the rest of the scriptures...

In that same 1 peter peter still differentiates between Yahweh and Jesus ....

So I don't know what's wrong with u guys....

plaetton: How does "only begotten" come to mean same nature, same size, same quality?
This is an incredible leap of logic.
Are you a clone of your father? or perhaps of your mother?
Okey is on some shekpe....
Christianity EtcRe: A Proposition For Theological Debate by ijawkid(m): 5:05pm On Oct 07, 2012
Ubenedictus: we are all born with d same nature and equal dignity
Ohhhh...

You are back again with the dignity issue..

You dodged the question::

Are we all of the same age??

Did we all come into existence simultaneously??

And may I tell u that apart from the fact that all humans are flesh and blood, all humans are not co-equal...

If we are all co-equal go send goodluck on an errand....

I believe you and goodluck are both age mates
And possess the same power...

The trinity says all 3 Gods are co-equal and co-eternal,all 3 all-knowing,and all powerful.....

The bible has proved u wrong...

Accept biblical truths and leave the trinity...

fergusen: Now hear what the bible has to say:

Philippians 2:5
[size=15pt]5 Your attitude should be the same as
that of Christ
Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature a God,
did not consider equality with God something to be
grasped,
7 but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature b of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,

Is this not self-explanatery enough?
And exactly What is your point mr alex ferguson??

Christianity EtcRe: Put Your Hard Questions For Trinitarian Theologians Enigma , Goshen & Company by ijawkid(m): 2:48pm On Oct 07, 2012
frosbel: There is not one prayer or song or exclamation addressed to the Holy Spirit in the Bible, neither is there one precept in all the Bible authorizing such prayer or song. Nowhere in Scripture are we told to love, honour, or worship the Holy Spirit, or to pray to it for assistance. Why, if it is a person, like the Father and His Son?

In the hymns of adoration recorded in Revelation, the Father and Son are mentioned but not the Holy Spirit. Why is reference to the Holy Spirit omitted if the Spirit is a third person of a triune God?

Rev.5:13 says: "Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him (the Father) who sits upon the throne, and to the lamb (Jesus) forever and ever." Also
Rev.7:10: "Salvation to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the lamb."

Why is there no reference to the Holy Spirit in these hymns of adoration if it is a co-equal member of the Spirit omitted? The Bible frequently pictures the Father sitting upon His throne and Jesus sitting or standing at His right hand, but never refers to the Holy Spirit sitting on the throne with them, either on the left hand or elsewhere.

If the Holy Spirit is a separate person from the Father and Son, why is there never any mention of him being enthroned or reigning with them? The Father and Son are often associated together in judgement and redemption, and the coming kingdom is referred to as the kingdom of God and His Christ (Rev.11:15), but the Holy Spirit is omitted. Why?

In 1 Cor.11:3 we read: "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." Now here is a specific order presented by the apostle Paul which he says he wants us to know about. He refers to woman, man,Christ and God, but makes no mention of the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit is a person like the Father, Son, man and woman, and belongs to this "family" as a separate person, why is he left out?
I have asked this question several times and all I get is ""NO ANSWER""

Ubenedictus: this is like saying human is material, fleshy.
Stop dividing human
ijawkid is not human, he is son of human. To make the son of a human also human tears dow logic and reason.
Are u so dumb that u cant see u arent making sense.
According to your trinity gibberish are all humans co-equal??

are we all of the same age??

Were we all born the same time??
Christianity EtcRe: A Proposition For Theological Debate by ijawkid(m): 2:38pm On Oct 07, 2012
Ubenedictus: this is like sayin:
"why would human call another person my father??
When that person na still human"
u arent making sense
U didn't get the question maybe...

Why should God call another person my God??

Does it make sense to your bible knowledge??

Is God suppose to have a God??

Eh??......

Well according to u and ur cohorts there are 3 Gods not 1....

okeyxyz: So how is the son of God not God?

How is the son of Mr Ajayi not Mr Ajayi?

Ajayi is simply a Specie(family name).

Spirit is a specie.
Can mr Ajayi(Junior) the son be the same as mr Ajayi (senior) the Father....??

Can they be co-equal??

Besides we havnt added another ajayi to the train to make it a trinity ajayi...

Mayb u can add mrs ajayi....
Christianity EtcRe: A Proposition For Theological Debate by ijawkid(m): 1:10pm On Oct 07, 2012
okeyxyz: It is the Holy_Spirit that makes God a Specie. It is by this spirit that He "begat" Jesus, thus he is the "First Begotten". The son of God is God. Simple. Why would Jesus use the reference "My Father"? Why is "My God" not enough?? Was it not for this reference "My Father" that the Jews wanted to stone him??
Why should God call another person my God and My Father??

Then that person na still God??

You are about to shoot yaself on the foot.....

Enigma: No matter what the "anti-Trinitarians" say {and we know the spirit behind their "fight"}, the following truths taught in the Bible have never, can never and will never be "debunked". smiley

1. God is ONE
2. God The Father is God
3. God The Son is God; and
4. God The Holy Spirit is God.
