The verse in question is saying yahweh rain fire from yahweh, can u hear and see that. Can u say "ubenedictus ...(performed an action)...from ubenedictus? Like saying "ijawkid stole a pot of soup from ijawkid". Unless there a 2 ijawkids then is it impossible for ijawkid to steal from ijawkid in d strict sense. Unless 2 person answer yahweh then it is illogical for yahweh to rain down fire from yahweh.

He is only greater than us in his divine nature because he was also God "the fulnes of the deity dwelt in him" that is how christ is infinitely greater than us. The father is the source/origin of the divinity, he beget Jesus christ from all eternity, so all the son has comes from the father and the father is the head, has monachia over the son. That is it, the father is head over the son, and since they have the same nature (GOD begets GOD) Jesus has the same dignity of nature. My dad is d head of my mum and my mum is equal in dignity to my dad. I am also equal to my dad in dignity cos i have d same human nature, im not an animal. This is what st paul said in corithians, "the head of the woman is man and the head of christ is God", just as man and woman are equal in dignity so is d fada and Christ.

Of all those nigerian christians who have spoken in tongues, how many of them have cast out devils?

From my understanding, the tongues on the day of pentecost (which were languages of other nations) were a fulfillment of the holyspirit coming upon the jews (to wow the sinners who heard and enable them repent). The second episode of this was in the house of cornelius which was yet again, a sign that the holyspirit had come upon the gentiles (to wow the jews who heard and to give them the assurance that Christ indeed had poured out his spirit on all flesh). Which meant that God had fulfilled his promise by pouring his spirit on both jews and gentiles.

The kind of tongues you see nowadays especially in nigerian churches are very sensual and the way it's practiced leaves many questions unanswered. After water baptism, they tell you to start speaking in tongues, those who utter a few random, incoherent words are publicly declared to have receive the holy ghost while those who cannot speak in tongues are separated for special prayers.

If after the prayers, you say a few rubbish words, you join the league of holyghost recipients. If you still haven't spoken in tongues, the pastors begin to shake your head, praying and begging you to say a few nonsense. If your case is hopeless, you are looked down upon as one who is a sinner or even one who possesses a bad spirit.

These are the things that go on in many of our pentecostal churches. We have really lost it.

As for praying in tongues while in church,
Paul's instructions on how christians should conduct themselves in the churches were very clear.

Speak in tongues (or prophecies) one at a time, or at most three, AND LET THERE BE AN INTERPRETER, otherwise be silent. But today, you see pastors instructing the congregation to pray in tongues all at the same time..causing so much confusion....which according to paul is akin to madness in the eyes of an unbeliever who suddenly walks into the church.

The problem with this question is that the name Yahweh is not exclusive to the father, gen 19:24 show two distinct persons called Yahweh it says "then Yahweh rained on sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Yahweh in heaven". Two distinct persons are identified as Yahweh is that passage so my question is which of the persons called yahweh in that passage are u refering to? are u asking abt the Yahweh in the form of man on earth or the other raining brimstone Yahweh is not exclusive of d fada so reconstruct ur sentence.

and my answer to the well constructed question below is that it depends on your definition of "greater". Your understanding of my answer also depends on your understanding of that passage that say "he took the form of a slave" and another that says "he was made lower than the angels", in this sense, that christ lived among us with our limited and inferior nature the words of christ hold true when he says "the fada is greater than i.

In John 14:26 Jesus said "But the comforter,which is the Holy Gost,whom the father would send in my name,he shall teach you all things and bring all things into your remembrance whatsoever i have said unto you"
This Holy Spirit is what the athiest and other religions lack that make them say the 'Bible is full of contradictions' but its painful to see that some called Christians also are not different to athiests and the people of other religions.They read Bible without the guide of Holy spirit.

If God the father is thesame with Jesus ,who was the one Jesus refers to as father that is in heaven? Are we saying Jesus was praying to himself?

If you say Jesus is not God,you are wrong because you can't deny Isaiah 9:6 that called Jesus mighty God.

"For unto us a child is born,unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called wonderful,Councellor,The mighty God,The everlasting father,The prince of peace"

If Jesus was called God in Bible why did you say he is not God?Did you think of this verse to be mistaken?Does that mean Jesus created heaven and earth ,What happened?

The controvery over the issue of Jesus been God or not did not start today.When Jesus was alive,they challenged him to his face in one of his conversation with Jews. What answer did Jesus give to them that challenged him? Let read

". . . .I and my father are one.Then the Jew took up the stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, many good works have i shewed you fron my father;for which of those works do you stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, for the good works we stone thee not but for blasphemy; and because that thou being a man makest theself God. Jesus answered them, is it not in written in your law, i said you are gods?"(John 10:30-34)
The verse Jesus quotes here, is also in Psalm 82:6

"I have said, you are gods and all of you are children of the most High "

In that verse, God called human being gods. Does that mean human being created Heaven and Earth?No, but why did God called human being gods?The book of Genesis said
God created man in his image and he gave them power over every other things he created.This can be found In Genesis 1;27-28

". . So God created man in his own image,in the image of of God created he him,male and female created he them.And God blessed them,and God said unto them be fruitful,and mutiply,and replenish the earth and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

If we understand this to be the reason God calls us gods why are we saying that Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit are not God?

Jesus, in one of his conversation with Jews, he said he had being before Abraham.
"Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day,and he saw it and was glad.Then said the Jews unto him,thou are not yet fifty years old,and hast thou seen Abraham?Jesus said verily,verily i say unto you before Abraham was, Iam.(John 8:56-58)"
Also, in the book of luke 20:41-44 Jesus said this
" And he said unto them,How say they that Christ is David's son?And David himself saith in the book of psalms.The Lord said unto my Lord,sit thou on my right hand till i make your thine enemies the footstool.If David therefor calleth him Lord,how is he then is son"

In the two verses above, Jesus shows that he had been in existence before Abraham and David and we all know the years difference between Jesus and these two people. Where was Jesus when Abraham was on earth? It is sure Jesus had not been born before Abraham.The verse above shows where Jesus was."My Lord said to my Lord" two Lord in this statement.The first Lord is God the father and the second Lord is Jesus Christ.This shows that Jesus is in heaven with God.This is where the word 'incarnation' emerged. Jesus ,then take a human form and came from heaven to earth not that God the father came to earth in human form.

Further more,the book of Daniel tells us how Jesus was ordain.
"I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like th Son of man came to the Ancient of days and they brought him near before him.And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all people,nations, and language,should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominnion which shall never pass away,and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.Daniel 7:13-14"

The 'Ancient of days' in the above verses was God the father and 'One like son of man' was Our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember, Jesus testified to above verses when he said "all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth"Math 28:18

Reason Jesus is God is that of ruling power that was given unto him over the earth and heaven and also,Jesus is not of this earth and the one that comes from above is greater than human being.As human being who is image of God greater than other creature on earth.
