Because I knw that when u go home to meet your parents you see 2 distinct persons who are different individuals with different personalities and strength,size,height,etc...name them........

When the bible says 1 flesh you have to explain what it means b4 you run into conclusion to prove your rotten dogma.....

Is the bible telling you that the husband and wife are 1 flesh manifesting in 2 persons??

And did the bible ever tell you about 1 God manifesting in 3 persons??...

Yes the Jews had a calender with days and months. is that what you use today? or you are telling me the months January to December were named after angels? If December 25th is a pagan date, what dates are Christian dates?

Zikkyy: am sure that there are lot of activities performed by Mary or early Christians not recorded in the bible. This apostles not doing it does not mean it is a sin. We are not meant to strictly adhere to behaviors or way of life as displayed by the early apostles or early Christians, otherwise you would be restricted to riding donkeys. As Christians, there are lots of things we do today not recorded in the bible. That does not make it pagan or sinful. We should look at these behaviors and see if it is contrary to biblical/Christian teachings. It would then be easier for us to determine what should be considered a pagan practice. I don't think celebrating is a sin; how we celebrate is another thing. Naming ceremonies as practiced by some Nigerian Christians today has element of ancient African tradition embedded in it, does that make it pagan? Christians in Nigeria approve of traditional marriage rite in addition to Christian marriage ceremony, do you think this will void the process?

Why should a celebration that is suppose to be attached to Jesus our Lord not be found in the bible??why??

Why should it be pagans who should lead the way??why??

If christmas is not found in the bible why should a bible trained christian sought for ways to instigate the celebration....and from a pagan source for that matter..

Lets assume before the coming of xtianity in Nig, there used to be a celebration(lets say okija celebration) by an X villagers (X=name of d village) to re-dedicate theirselves to the gods of their land and during this celebration, all the sons and daughters of the village do come back to make sacrifice to the god's of the land and its being done 1s in a year. Now a 100 years have passed and basically all the sons and daughters of the village are now xtians and they all decide that instead of stoping the okija celebration entirely, that they should used that date as a form of get together and an avenue to pray and give thanks to God for what He has done for them during the year. And so, 1s in every year, instead of the usual okija celebration, they now turned it to a day of prayer and thanksgiving. My question now is... Does this still make the christians that observe the celebration pagan worshippers? And i hope you know that people in the south east are 95% christians and till date they do celebrate the new yam festival which has a pagan origin, does that make them pagan worshippers?

For the X family to come back 100 yrs later after learning about Christ to convert the okija juju day to a day to worship God only shows they are still idol worshippers with a christian veneer....the bible says flee from idolatry...don't have anything to do with it.....

Why must they convert that day that was for okija juju to worship God in the heavens??

Jesus is the channel,the door,through which we gotta pass to get to Yahweh.....

The truth is one cannot worship 3 Gods.....

Jesus himself told us whom we should pray to and through whom we should pray......I believe the ""our Father prayer"" is there for all of us as a model.........
