Olatoman:Apple Card is only reserved for US residents because it’s a credit card. You need a US address, SSN and a credit score to get one. |
We haven’t even completed September yet and Ole has lost the only competition that could have allowed him to give plenty of minutes to fringe players. There’s going to be plenty of dissatisfaction in the squad going forward. Solskjaer is just bad luck. Everything he touches turns to shit. I remember when Alex Ferguson used to put Rafael and Fabio as wingers and still beat the likes of Arsenal in a cup competition. The glory days are gone unless we sack this lunatic. |

hoopLA:Barcelona won CL in 92 Red Star Belgrade won it in 91. Perhaps, Italy didn’t deserve to qualify for Euro 92 because Serie A teams weren’t even performing in club before Euro 92. You people just open your mouth wahhhhhh like a village borehole. ![]() |
TheLequte:There’s no relevance in this question when the team that won the Euros didn’t line up every position with the best player in Serie A. If they could win it without the best players in each position in their league, how come England couldn’t? ![]() TheLequte:Another daft inference. I said the best league in the world should be producing the best national team. A = B doesn’t necessarily infer B = A. All squares are rectangles doesn’t mean all rectangles are squares. TheLequte:Spinazolla isn’t the best left back in Serie A as well and yet Italy won the World Cup. The conditions that you are putting up as a drawback for England is universal for the other teams. Immobile cannot clean the shoes of Ronaldo, Lautaro, Lukaku or even Zlatan and yet Italy didn’t use that as an excuse to win the Euros so why are you so particular about Maguire? TheLequte:Logic is beating your emotional outbursts. So starting Harry Maguire instead of Van Dijk or Dias is the reason England couldn’t win the Euros but Italy playing Immobile instead of Ronaldo wasn’t a disadvantage to them? Do you people even task your brains before posting on this thread? TheLequte:This is the most foolish question anybody has asked me in 2021. Refer back to my Barcelona example instead of displaying the emotional intelligence of a teenage lęsbian. |
Oasis007:"See where they play, how they play, if they play." Jose Mourinho has been vindicated yet again. He warned these idiötic fans about Martial but they resisted - saying Martial is the new Pele. |
hoopLA:Southgate was the reason the players of the best league in the world cannot pass the ball accurately? Even if Southgate asked his boys to defend or park the bus for 2 hours, did he also ask them to also give the ball away as often as England did that night? hoopLA:When England was winning, it was the brilliance of Shaw, the dominance of Maguire and the killer instinct of Kane. When they got battered in the final, yeah - it was Southgate’s fault. hoopLA:I failed to understand how you arrived at this illogical conclusion. What have Coquelin and the other PL rejects gotta do with England’s inability to win a competition in 55 years? hoopLA:Finally, you got the point but your method of getting there or your logical translation of Spain’s success is flawed. You should notice the emergence of Barcelona as the best club from the best league in Europe also coincided with Spain’s longest spell of success. Spain won Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012. This had a lot to do with Barca’s 2006 CL victory and most especially Pep’s Barcelona from 2008 Summer to 2013 summer. That is a classic example of the best league contributing to the best national team. hoopLA:Portugal winning the Euros was a fluke. This is the reason they couldn’t sustain their success in the following World Cup or successfully defending their European championship title this summer. hoopLA:I didn’t conclude the best national team should be Italy. That A = B does not necessarily mean B = A. I said the best league in the world should produce the best national team. It does not necessarily infer the best national team has the best league. Any national team can win a competition(via fluke: cue Portugal, Greece, etc) but can they sustain the success like Spain did? It was you that had the logic reversed, don’t put that on me. The PL has been beating their chest as the best league in the world for the last 20 years and yet there’s nothing to show for it. England hasn’t won any trophy in 55 years. Ask yourself why the league many people think is the best cannot produce top indigenous players that can represent England to win international competitions. Spain owed their success from 2008 to 2012 to La Liga being the best league in the world. Barcelona/Madrid players made up 98% of that Spanish side that went on to destroy all the teams put before them. Del Bosque even had to mirror Barca’s tiki taka in the national team to get the best out of the players and it worked. Stop comparing that level of success to Italy, Greece or Portugal winning a one off competition and failing to defend their title in the next international competition. Spain won 3 competitions in a row to exert their total dominance. That’s the kind of level of success I expect from a country that has “the best league in Europe”. |
GloryIsaac:So it’s because England lost a final and not because England hasn’t won any competition in the past 55 years? The people on this section constantly amaze me with their Abule-Egba logic. |
TheLequte:It seems you have an inability to comprehend a simple sentence. I said Maguire is the best English defender playing in the PL. |
TheLequte:Why did they decide to sit back? Remember, these English players are all world class, playing for some of the top clubs in the PL. The England back 4 at the Euros was Man City(RB) Man City(CB), Man Utd(CB), Man Utd(LB) - all these players played in the final of UEFA competitions at club level few weeks before the Euros. So why did England sit back against part-time farmers from Italian league? Scoring a goal early should have gingered Southgate and his boys to go out and get more. Shaw scored within the first 2 mins in the final - why didn’t that easy goal inspire the team to get more goals? ![]() England didn’t try getting more because they knew they would be dismembered by the Italian side. They knew the goal was just a fluke and they would lose emphatically if they got out of their shell to get more goals. England manager knew the Italians(Serie A dudes aka Farmers ) were technically superior. TheLequte:This is a ridiculous point. ![]() Every player in each position in that English team were the best English players in their respective positions- likewise Italy. Lukaku, Ronaldo, Zlatan, Dybala, Lautaro Martinez, etc also played in Serie A last season and they didn’t represent Italy at the Euros. Therefore, the Serie A players that represented Italy at the Euros weren’t also the best players in their positions in Serie A. TheLequte:That’s the only metric one can use. The best league should be producing the best national team especially when there’s now a mandatory quota for home grown players. However, England with their most prestigious league hasn’t been able to win any trophy at the national team level in more than 50 years. Maybe, just maybe the league isn’t as strong as reported by the hyperbolic British media. TheLequte:English league is the richest and its a natural reaction for players to follow the money. Wan Bissaka earns £90,000 a week and cannot trap the ball with a single touch. The average European player is looking at him and ringing his agent to get him to the PL as soon as possible. The easiest places to make money on the planet always have the largest draw of people. This is why Lagos is hyper-populated in Nigeria. It’s where the money is. |
Mrviktor:Plus the fact that English is the most spoken language outside it’s native countries. Most people outside of England can relate to the commentary, analysis and the brilliant package behind the scenes. |
handelex:Southgate is England’s most successful manager since 1966. If he cannot get it right, it simply means there’s no hope for England. |
TheLequte:Look at the match stats. The score line flattered England. It made it seem like a tough game. The truth is the Italians destroyed England with number of shots, possession, passing accuracy, etc. Most of them play in the farmer’s league - it got me wondering how the overhyped PL players could only make 420 passes in 120 minutes in comparison to the 820 passes from the Italians. If Football was like wrestling, the referee would have stopped the match. English players took a jungle justice sort of beating. They were totally destroyed. |
patrickmuf:Ligue 1 isn’t far behind from PL. The only thing PL has over Ligue 1 apart from money is hype. We should stop pretending that we haven’t seen direct transfers from Ligue 1 coming to boss the overhyped PL. Eden Hazard, Riyadh Mahrez, Ngolo Kante, etc all came from the so called Farmer’s league to win PFA player of the year in the overhyped PL back to back without sweats. Salah also came straight from Serie A(another so called farmer’s league) to dog-walk the overhyped PL defenders. There’s also Ruben Dias that came straight from Portuguese league and he won player of the season. Bruno Fernandes from the same farmer’s league is also bossing PL defenders - and he should have won the last PFA awards. PL is 70% footballing ability, 30% media hype. Just try and watch the Euro final again and see how Italian players from the so called farmer’s league totally destroyed the overhyped PL players.

CapitalCee:Yeah, by parking the bus. |
Joezinho:Ole Gollum could have easily dropped two points today if not for De Gea’s heroic save. He’s totally incompetent. |
BikeMan:Spineless worms. ![]() They all took a forced sabbatical after Tuchel broke their hearts. Joezinho:Stüpidity is the only reason anyone would say Jose hasn’t been United’s best manager since Fergie. They criticized Jose for losing to Sevilla until Sevilla eliminated Ole’s United in Europa semifinal. They criticized Jose for winning a milk cup(Europa) until Ole couldn’t even beat Villareal(7th best team in La Liga) to win it. The bookies have Ole as the 4th favorite to win the league. Even Tunde Disu would be favorites to win the league after spending £200m on defence and signing Ronaldo. |
patrickmuf:Any manager that survives with 10 men at Anfield deserves to become manager of the year. Ole couldn’t survive with 10 men at Old Trafford. He lost 6-1. If Liverpool weren’t given a penalty for the red card, I am sure Tuchel would have prevented them from scoring that day. He’s that good. He reads the game ever so well. His in-game management is second to none and he might be the manager that will break Jose’s outstanding defensive record of conceding only 15PL goals in an entire season. |
This Neymar has no respect. He won’t even let Messi take the penalty to break his goal drought in the French league. |
BikeMan:Just quote all the Tuchel belittlers on this thread and note their names down. When Tuchel claims another trophy, attach their names and the rubbish they said to the trophy. Not all United fans are brainless. Only the idiötic ones think Tuchel and Ole are on the same level so narrow your aim on that faction when the time comes. ![]() |
Joezinho:Spurs deserve every misery they get. I hope they relegate and Harry Kane moves to City in the summer. United have already got their karma with Ole. 3 years later, Ole cannot win a trophy. He’s the only manager in the world that isn’t expected to win any trophy despite having Ronaldo in his team. |
BARAJ92:Tuchel as a Chelsea manager has beaten him 3 times already. As usual, Pep apologists said Pep overthought the tactics by not playing Fernandinho in the CL final. The truth is Pep has tried all sorts of combination in the midfield against Tuchel and Pep lost all the games. Tuchel and Chelsea fit like hands to gloves. They are the only team in Europe without any weakness. Pep doesn’t have a striker. Liverpool have no centre forward, United have a foolish manager. Tuchel has everything. |
Morata scores - what a goal. ![]() |
BARAJ92:Ole couldn’t find weakness in Young Boys, somehow you expect him to find weakness in Tuchel’s Chelsea. The same weakness Pep hasn’t been able to find. ![]() |
Oasis007:Harry Kane’s performance since Jose left Spurs is a Mou Alert. We were told here Kane’s performance last season was down to Harry Kane himself. Harry Kane is so talented that he would score plenty of goals under any manager. ![]() |
BARAJ92:10-man Chelsea will beat Ole’s United. They are the best team in Europe. 4 clean sheets in 5 games. The stuff of champions. Tuchel is nothing to play with. Chelsea have now kept more clean sheets (15) than they have conceded goals (14) in the Premier League under Tuchel. Tuchel has made them the most difficult team to beat. Ole’s best hope is to park the bus and get a boring 0-0 like he did last season. |
Expert17:Herrera is gold. He is starting again tonight against Lyon. Herrera has silently relegated Wijnaldum and Paredes to the bench. |
patrickmuf:Haaland’s father said one of the reasons they chose Dortmund was because he wasn’t guaranteed Ole wouldn’t be sacked had his son joined United that January and he desperately wanted his son to play for Ole at United. Now that Ole has a long contract, United have a better chance to sign him next summer but Ole’s poor results are going to complicate things going forward. patrickmuf:I am not even sure Zizou would come and manage United. He doesn’t strike me like someone that would cope with the haughtiness of the British media.
|
A40:Didn’t he show up against Roma last season in the semifinal at OT? He got the first goal, Roma equalized and even scored a second goal before half time. Roma were the better side up until half time. In the second half, Bruno emerged from the dressing room looking like a monster and he got us through that stormy waters by helping the team win 6-2 with 2 goals and 2 assists. Yesterday wasn’t his fault either. The manager removed him and until his removal, the manager had the entire team parking the bus after the red card. The tactics dictate the functionality of players. Bruno has bailed United out many many times. |
BikeMan:A poll needs to be taken on this thread to know those who still think Ole is the messiah. Are there still people who think Ole is going to win anything meaningful at this club? |
BikeMan:You used to be a staunch Ole fan, what changed? ![]() |
elampiro:My source can’t be wrong. They dedicate all their resources into telling their consumers where every player has played in the last 30 years. Mourinho’s most used formation is 4-2-3-1(double pivot), Carrick was already gone by the time Mourinho arrived and Herrera was used 30 times as a DM under Mourinho. The facts are there, that you don’t understand football formation is nobody’s problem. elampiro:This is the most idiotic false equivalence I have encountered on this thread yet. Jones is a defender, Rooney is a striker, Fabio Da Silva is a defender, Fletcher is a central midfielder, Ferdinand is a defender. Herrera is a midfielder that played in the defensive midfield. That you are comparing this scenario to a striker playing in the midfield already tells me your brain circuitry has low voltage. ![]() elampiro:Anytime you are getting battered in an argument, the trauma you suffered 20 years ago against Coogar jumps out. You need therapy. ![]() |

why that midget male Nkiru Sylvanus is failing to score from a deflected tap-in in the European version of the Benenois Championship.
