You say Tony Blair isn't Scottish in anyway shape or form and then when I point out his Scottish roots you go off on a tangent about every white person having roots from everywhere else. Now you are looking at Tony's father in order to support your non-Scot claim and totally ignoring his mother who was Scot Irish.
Even the the Queen has a Scottish mother and the English only have good things to say about her. In fact there are hardly any 'English' people in the Royal family including the Queen herself because her father came from a German family. If we all were to employ your archaic way of thinking then we would only claim nationality based on our forefathers even though they lived thousands of years before us in a different time and place.

Actually if you want to really go back in History you'll find out the Queen has origins in modern day France  the Norman conquest of England in 1066, and along the way intermarriage has brought in German,danish and other 'bloods'.

However as per her title 'Queen of England' she is primarily ENGLISH ! And please don't think these things don't matter- the SNP & BNP are pointers to this fact. As is the intense sports rivalry between the 'home countries'. I'm not saying this is the main reason Brown is getting so much slack. .  ,  but its a factor !

I think the selection was OK, but i was expecting to see Bable start ahead of Ngog.

Unirea were there for the taking. if we had Torres and Benayoun on., we could have scored more. we just lacked cutting edge in that match. if they (Unirea) were a little better , they might have punished us at the end.

Jonathan is in full control and if he is interested let us allow him play the necesary politics to give him d position. However,I must say that I honesly wish every so called religious person could take time to ponder on their beliefs rather than be quick to cast aspersions on others.

On the 4 issues I raised,thank you for your detailed analysis,i think a lot of threads exists on NL that thrash out these things.

My point really was to show that uplawal should not be quick to bring down other people's faith cos we all still require further contemplation and research on our beliefs.

You have taken the pains to analyse these passages of the Q'uran,tho' I do not agree with all you have posted,but my point is clear.

Reading those passages as they are could suggest some mistake (emphasis on suggest),so someone picking the Bible too and jumping to conclusions or sayng the Bible is false ,christians are liars etc is not being courteous at all.

Lets us,spend time on the spiritual aspects of our religion. . . praying,fasting,worshipping. . . .and not waste God given time insulting other people's beliefs.

We can argue respectfully on doctrine,theology,history etc. . . but not think the worst of the other side.

Like I said earlier religion isn't like Man U vs Arsenal,its much more serious than that !
