Never even knew Fola Adeola was a Muslim until recently.
Just a co-incidence!!!!
There definitely are. Plenty. I'm sure Wale Tinubu is not successful because of his religion, neither are SLS and FA. So please leave religion out of it.
I'm a long time defender and admirer of Mike Adenuga, a Christian.
No probs bro. . . just pulling your legs  wink

Am not a moslem and neither are they all. Nuhu is a Christain.
The 'moslem' observation was for Jarus not you. I visited the website & i really, really duff my hat for Nuhu (his religious beliefs are actually not relevant).

Lets see you play 3 matches in a row with a groin injury then. The Injury list has been our major issue this season along side the debt which lead to the sale of Alonso. No coach could do better than the Gaffer at the moment.
And rather than the Ruud (striker) option, we'd be better finding a replacement for Lucas in midfield.
Everyone knows we have a strijer problem, once El Tor's down we're in trouble. VN will provide much needed cover. . . . .Ngog is currently a paperweight.

Lucas isn't too bad & we already have sufficient cover for that position IMO.

IMO Ngog is not Liverpool standard yet. He plays more like a Hull,Wolves,Wigan level player at the moment.

Learnt Babel told the gaffer off in the papers & he's almost certain to be shipped out in Jan good riddance to bad rubbish of you ask me.

I heard some encouraging news tha Van Nistelrooy maybe coming our way when the transfer window opens next (when we all expect Chelsea to lose some points grin grin grin). Not all too bad if you ask me.

Nothing personal. . ,  just my observations  wink
Kobojunkie:
Like I have said so many times over, I am AGAINST our continued need to meander the rules to suit ourselves when it pleases us. You claim Nigeria has no System, yet so many others have said we do have a system in place( have always had one and will always have one). Which is it?
I am insisting we don't have a proper system in place because:
1. The constitution is illegal as per my points stated some pages back.
2. The institutions are still very weak or non existent - electoral system, police
3. Resource control is an integral part of a federal system,we don't have that
4. Council of State that has coup plotters as members is in the constitution which I feel shouldn't be,because what it means is that anyone that takes over govt via military coup, will be invited in the future as part of the 'Council of state'.to
Kobojunkie:
I don’t agree that Nigeria has no SYSTEM. I don’t agree that the constitution is the reason why we are where we are today. What we have is a situation where a minority continues to hold power over the majority, something contrary to the constitution and the democratic system of government we chose to pursue over 10 years ago.  So,
Which minority,if i may ask? Nigeria has no system,I repeat we are a few metres (or feet) from being a failed state, simply because we have no system.
How  else can you explain a situation where the universities close down for months & the govt does not come down.
Or where people are selected and not elected.?

There is no system in Nigeria simple. The govt is not accountable to anybody ,if dats a system then tell me what is not?

All your aspirations are similar to mine & other well meaning Nigerians, but we must first admit there's a problem before moving forward with solutions ,not petend 'All is well'.

Beaf:
Laughable. Do you expect him to write you and I a letter stating how he has asked Yar Adua for his rights or do you feel he should be carrying placards around Aso Rock? Fail.

So he is indisposed and sends his wife (whom no one voted for and who took no OATH grin) instead of his VP and that doesn't tell you she is more powerful than the VP?
beaf, you got all these from GOSSIP,plain & simple  tongue
Kobojunkie has really deep insights into the inner workings of Nigeria more than anyone else smiley
Politics › Re: Dr. Goodluck Jonathan Comes Under Pressure To Resign by illusion2: 2:11am On Nov 29, 2009
Kobo,I appreciate some of your views, but Im sure you realise (incase you don't here it is)you come across as someone who assumes being based in the US somehow confers some new insights on issues ,one of your initial posts refers
Kobojunkie:
Seun, Can I ask where you live?? Have you ever been outside of your place beforehuh
So, Seunagain, I ask, Where in the world Are youhuhKobobJunkie
The fact is I have engaged you in similar ultimately futile arguments in the past, you come up with a point of view based on utopic aspirations/expectations of Nigeria, and back it up with nothing but innuendos. When pressed further, you bring up unrelated arguments & questions.
Now tell me what is your point exactly?
Kobojunkie:
Telling us that Turai has more power than Jonathan does is NOT a Contrary POINT but simply you trying to tell us that what should not even be considered. Do you think if I told someone out here that Mrs Obama has more power and can decide for Biden what to or not do, that I would not be considered an slowpoke for even thinking such thoughts?
I hope you're not trying to call me one? No,I would rather ask you for proof. In the US,the VP in also President of the Senate,in addition there IS A SYSTEM IN THE US,NIGERIA HAS NO SYSTEM,don't you get it huhhuh?
Politics › Re: Dr. Goodluck Jonathan Comes Under Pressure To Resign by illusion2: 1:38am On Nov 29, 2009
Kobojunkie:
What you stated was nothing but GOSSIP with no backing in the constitution which defines the offices which you speak of.
Last I checked, we are all supposed to be against the STATUS QUO and not necessarily pushing for more of it where it suits us, is this right?
Oh sure!!! I should consider further BREAKING THE LAW to fix the LAW then; this is what you are advocating we do more of, right? And the events of the last 2 decades (which happen to evidence of what happens when we tow the line you are suggesting there) should be ignored?
It is OK for you to make up stories that appeal to you but once you present them as facts, then be prepared to answer questions.
Sure, if Yar adua kaputs, Goodluck CONSTITUTIONALLY ought to step in, however, the people calling for him to resign as well have legit reasons to as he has shown he is an INCOMPETENT VP and so I too see reason for such a call.
You have this really complicated way of marshalling your points. Are you stating what you 'hope' will happen based on a perfect set of variables or what may likely happen based on the Nigerian situation, which you seem to have limited insight of? Constitutionally, should we be in this limbo with an invalid president?  Always start your points with 'This is what I feel should happen' and whenever someone else gives a contrary opinion, don't be quick to discountenance or attribute it to 'GOSSIP'. You have every right to have your opinion, but don't assume a contrary point of view is most definitely wrong or can be attributed to gossip.
Politics › Re: Dr. Goodluck Jonathan Comes Under Pressure To Resign by illusion2: 12:54am On Nov 29, 2009
Kobojunkie:
This is simply stating that THINGS OUGHT TO BE DONE AS THEY SHOULD. And if they were, we would not continue to find ourselves right back here every other 4 years.
Simply put, I am against what we have as the STATUS QUO. I am AGAINST the constant meandering of rules to suit our individual perceptions of the system and our tribal allegiances. I am FOR excusing INCOMPETENCE and INEPTITUDE at all levels, no matter what tribe the culprits are from.
There is ABSOLUTELY NO excuse for Nigeria, as a whole to continue to live with the burden we call and president, neither is there one for the country to be burdened with his twin brother, Jonathan, if he, Yar adua, be forced to resign/ impeached etc next.
Brilliant ! Then why on earth do you substitute your 'aspirations & hope' for Nigeria for actual happenings in the corridors of power? Whenever anyone states WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS you say they are peddling gossip?! huh

Yes we all have these lofty desires for our country. . . .but currently what obtains is far from this . So when analysing the current scenario(like we are now),you should take into cognisance THE CURRENT set-up ,NOT your aspirations. Why else would we be discussing Goodluck resigning,if Yar'Adull passes on,if things were as they should be??
CURRENTLY Turai wields more influence than Goodluck(unfortunately).
Politics › Re: Dr. Goodluck Jonathan Comes Under Pressure To Resign by illusion2: 12:36am On Nov 29, 2009
Kobo,The Oath isn't the constitution. According to the constitution the VP takes up responsibility assigned to him/her by the president.

If the president instructs the minister of defence to pass relevant info to him through his wife. . .dat is what will happen.
Kobojunkie:
I posted that so we can all be sure to understand that he did take an OATH To do all he can in the INTEREST of the PEOPLE, not for Yar Adua Or for Turai, or for some "imagined" cabal.
So what if he took the oathhuh This is why everyone laughs at your naivete, you come up with these grand illusions about nigeria. . . .we're just a few metres from being a failed state, what part of that don't you understand??  huh huh
