If he were the breadwinner I have a feeling that the tone of the OP would be completely different and things would've been handled a lot more forcefully by he and his family grin
The 2nd wife would have been brought to the house sef.

The annoying thing is that she might even be giving her husband money that he sends to his family.

I thought I read parents before

Everyone's case is peculiar to them.in terms of spouses.

For me, I don't keep anything...to how much I earn or anything, especially because we plan together and we have each other's back.

Meaning he doesn't have a mind of his own or what? How can his family influence him for something he doesn't want to do?

Are you sure he's not with you because you are the breadwinner? If he hammers today, will he stay with you?
Family › Re: My experience with a lady I thought was different. by ImaIma1(f): 5:20pm On May 31, 2020
It's a bad attitude from her. It shows she's insensitive, disrespectful and cannot empathize. Plus her family seems to be the same.

But why call the man a simp? Do you think you are better than him. If he is a simp, what are you?

Why did you asked then? At least Maximus69, another JW dignified you will a response. I gave you the reason why I didn't you an answer. address that and make changes. Not everyone here has the time to chase clout.
I have my reasons.

I could ask you the same question.

Furthermore, your interpretation of those scriptures doesn't actually mean what your sect believes.

Let's not bother to argue. I have had this argument with my MIL and it led nowhere. Ciao

Well Written. But just a quick question. Don't you think it would be wise to deny and disown Jesus Christ when caught in the net of BokoHaram or other Anti God terrorists? Well that's what it seems you are saying.
Your analysis doesn't even match.

It's only JW that interpret those Bible passages that they readily cite as not donating blood. And give reasons like...it is not safe or a guarantee that the person will get well. But won't you at least try if that will save the child? Rather than watching the child die.

Besides haven't the JW organisation reversed that doctrine? Doesn't it mean that it was just a doctrine and not a clear interpretation of the Bible?

Sure, would eat if prepared in a neat environment.

Lol. Who did that? Definitely Ibkayee’s sister. grin

I think that is what makes the difference; the ingredients. Just like oha/okazi never feels original to me if it Is prepared with palm oil, rather than palm fruits. cheesy
I saw it on IG o.

I get what you mean. It's just like cooking afang without yellow pepper doesn't seem complete to me.

And I realized that vegetable soup is different from edikaikong even if it's the same ugu and waterleaf. For one, we don't put ogiri in edikaikong.

Funny enough my husband is more skilled than me (I had to accept this truth) in edikaikong. So I prep the ingredients and call him to do his magic.

Nice, I LOVE afang!!!

Now let me ask the house a question.

Is it true that no one can cook a native dish like its indigenes?

(e.g)No outsider can cook afang better than Efiks/Ibibios?

You can’t make ewa agoyin, better than togolese?

Etc...
Not in all cases.

The problem is when you try to cook another tribe's soup with your own tribe's method. Imagine someone put iru in afang. I was shocked.

When I want to cook a dish from another tribe, I asked someone from there up to the minutest details.

Family › Re: How Do You Cope With Sister In Laws? by ImaIma1(f): 6:11pm On May 25, 2020
mrblessed:
Would you send her back if she were your sister? Why is it difficult for most women to tolerate and overlook some of the excesses of the their in-laws as they would do to their siblings? I don't support her misbehaviour but it is something that has to do with growing up, something that is not supposed to warrant you scheming to kick her out.

Everyone at one point was thoughtless and carefree, yet we were guided by someone until were able to get our acts right. Since you have pointed out some of her misconducts, why not discuss with your husband to caution and advise her, instead of announcing your misguided thought of seeing her leave your house. She is just 20 and an undergraduate, haba, she won't live with you forever.
Truth is that it's better to avoid live-in inlaws. They can come and spend a week, month and go. But coming to settle there for a year and even causing problems is not acceptable.

Everybody should live in their houses and let a couple especially a newly wedded one have peace.
Literature › Re: 'The Palmwine Drinkard' By Amos Tutuola & How It Relates To Social Media Slaying by ImaIma1(f): 10:06am On May 25, 2020
Ishilove:
The story is about a man who is addicted to palm wine and has his own special wine tapper who taps the wine to his exact specifications. However, when the tapper dies, the drinkard can not find any suitable replacement, so he embarks on a journey to the land of the dead to bring back his brewer. Along his way he encounters many spirits and strange and wonderful adventures.

So far so good, the parts that have resonated with me in this crazy man's quest for palmi is the saga of 'The Complete Gentleman' because of its metaphorical significance.

A head strong, beautiful woman (Nairaland males will call her a 'feminist' because she has refused to marry and cares only about making money and remaining independent) sees a remarkably handsome man in the market and is smitten. She decides to go like the biblical Ruth on him and follows him around like a puppy, even after the man has warned her to stop.

Since time immemorial, many human beings have been moved by beauty to the detriment of character. A supposedly well grounded business woman abandons her common sense in the pursuit of a mirage, and by the time she realises that all that glitters is not gold, it is too late.

Ever wonder why it seems marriages are failing everyday? People are looking for love in all the wrong places. We create all kinds of ideals about what our partners should be like and even when we see red flags, we resolutely ignore them because we are arrested by certain physical attributes that we feel will make up for whatever shortcomings our significant others may have. And when the storm comes, poof, everything collapses like a pack of cards. Or perhaps that special attribute is not encased in the body you like, so when a Complete Gentleman or Gentlewoman comes along, against your better judgement you follow them. It will end in tears.

All that glitters is NOT gold. Many have been damaged, or even lost their lives chasing shadows. The lady is later tortured with a caterwauling cowrie tied around her neck, starved, struck dumb and made to sit on a stool made of a giant, living frog.
This point really hit home because that what we usually do...men and women. And whenever I prayed for a husband, I had my specifications that I gave to God.

One day, as my pastor preached on the marriage matter, he said some of us give God specifications of the kind of man we want. He said how do we know that is what we need. He said don't we think that the One who created us knows the kind of partner that would compliment us?

From that day, my prayer changed. I asked God to give me the person I need. And men! God really knows me. Cos there's no way I would have been able to describe to God the kind of man I got.

As per the social media facade, the fact that I know some people who have troubled homes but still come on IG with happy faces and swag makes me realize that pictures are just pictures.

You should have asked her to request her statement for both of you to confirm so that you can know where the issue is from instead of concluding immediately and believing the worst.

See how you already showed yourself in that simple test. She's probably thinking that if it's a more serious matter, delete and block her and her whole kindred.

Life itself is not fair. Suffering and pain is part of human existence.

You are in a dilema any action you take now you will still end up hurting someone.

If you report: you are going to put your co-workers and their family in trouble, they will lose their job and they will also go to jail if not for life.

If you choose not to report you will be harming the md and she might lose her business.

either ways you are going to hurt people.

And as such i will advice you to focus on yourself and mind your business.
Why should he think about his coworkers and their families? Did they care about the boss and her own family before stealing from her?

We are too sentimental over issues. Someone is hard hearted enough to steal and you are talking about losing job. They should be given a pat on the back or letter of recommendation for being a thief

It's not ritual o. The decisions we make set us apart.

Even if I didn't think I did much during NYSC, at least I registered at a French school and continued after NYSC. That knowledge gave me an advantage at an interview where the HR Manager studied French and spoke to me. The rest was history.
