Two words :"Ready Stew"

PS - Ready stew is delicious, and versatile for all kinds of Naija dishes. It should hold your belle well well and give you food to stimulate your brain , hopefully it will also allow you to focus on more important things like the character traits etc that attracted you to the girl in the first place.

Please tell them o. Including the men. The stew is just the base you need. You can add ingredients to your taste.

If you don't invite or allow visits from your family members on the account of your wife,I can assure you the nearest Babalawo would hear about it (not that I believe in babalawos) but am sure your would, besides your mother in-law would die of shame when the her friends find out her daughter can't cook.
1. What happens if the couple are based abroad out of the prying eyes of nosy family members?

2. These days, all a mother can do is teach her daughters and sons how to cook. If they learn, fine. If they dont, then it is not their mother's  problem. Those days of "shame" or embarassment are fading. A mother can no longer be held responsible for the actions of her daughter in her daughters house. Everyone one is ultimately responsible for his/her actions.

Besides, there are families where both patners can't cook, however, there is understanding between the couple with regards to this. I am not saying women should not learn how to cook, but i won't condemn those that don't know how to.

na waa for u seun, if your wife can't cook for you ten what will she do for u? buy u Mr Bigs or mamput. u should have suggested teaching her atleast she will be ale to learn if the love is dia and they still want it to continue.
While i am not against women doing stuff such as maintenance of their homes etc, however, if she is not necessarily good at one of them that really shouldn't mean she is useless in the house.

Remember in the age we live in, with advance in science and technology, improved standards of living, their are ways to get round the cooking issue. Food preparation takes some time and not everyone has the patience to stand around cooking. We live in a time conscious society. In Nigeria, the average 'proper meal' takes nothing less than 30min to 1hour. Doing that for breakfast, lunch and dinner is tiring everyday and then people complain that a woman's work is never finished. How can it when all she is doing is cooking, cleaning, etc. These are duties that can be outsourced to someone else so the lady can make better use of her time.

If the woman is career minded or in certain levels of management, then issues such as cooking become secondary to an extent. Some people, however, are so closed minded and just refuse to move on with the times. For instance, the introduction of the pounded yam powder solved the problem of been able to eat pounded yam for nigerians in the diaspora, but some people still complain it is not as good as the real thing. Now until they see a woman pounding like an animal and sweating like a goat, do they accept that they are going to eat authentic pounded yam. Frankly some women have just decided not to bother themselves with such issues anymore and make their time more productive by engaging in more rewarding activities.

I believe most nigerian men are lazy when it comes to cooking. Those who can actually cook still leave it to their wives to do. This is selfish. There is nothing wrong in using your cooking skills to improve your homes. And if you feel you are too important to help your wives then don't complain.

Can your friend also cook? If he can, then let him teach his girlfriend. If he cant, they can both learn. If cooking is very important to you your friend, then find a chef like Seun suggested.

Seriously, while a woman should learn to cook no matter how little but then relationship for a woman is much more than being able to cook, clean and engage in sexual gymnastics. A woman is much more than a trophy a man can be proud of.

Its all speculations now. I beginning to have doubts about Henry's future. What is really worrying me now is why he hasn't said whether he wants to stay or not. If he states clearly he is staying then all this rumours will end.
He isn't saying anything because he wants to see what's up with the bidding process.

With the right amount, Henry will walk.

However, i think Henry is more loyal to Wenger than to Arsenal.

at least she remains under my roof and i under the same roof too.

the idea of having separate rooms might seem preposterous to some of you but in reality it just great for me.
she riled against the idea initially Citing other people`s home. that more than anything invigorated my desire for a room of my own. i shall not lead my life and my home based on other people`s standard.

i read at odd hours meaning i have to put on the light which she does not like.

i listen to BBC, VOA at really odd hours which means i have to put on the transistor radio at ungodly hours, this she finds repulsive.

when NEPA is on, i watch cable TV all through the night, this disTurds her sleep.

when i get home a little on the high side, i snore deeply in bed, she complains about that too.

what the heck, to let peace reign, i got myself a room.

besides all these, i am dirty, carefree and flippant. she wants a prim and spice room. i cannot change myself now. it is too late in the day.

WHY YOU WANNA CHANGE ME, THINK OF THE THINGS THAT REALLY MADE ME, THE WAY THAT I AM USED TO YOU HAPPY, WHY YOU WANNA CHANGE MEhuhhuhhuh?

In the days arguments, you will find peace in your room. that is better than sleeping out in the embrace of another female comforter outside.
Well, there is no problem in you having your own room but only if she understands and agrees.

Based on what you listed, it seems you are nocturnal creature grin and this does irritate her.

You need to sit her down and communicate your feelings to her. That you having your own room doesn't mean you love her less or are cheating on her.

She just may be insecure and feels rejected, that you don't want her like you used to. Try to alleviate her fears. Why dont you have a trial first and she how you both cope?

Do you have any children? that may be an issue.

Good luck

See, the 1 time you manage to write, you cannot even focus enough to answer the question.
You asked me when you told me you were Igbo?. . .I'm asking you, what ethnic group are you and what exactly is it that makes you non-Igbo?. . .How do you manage not to fit into the ethnic classification of Igbo, based on what?

You're Nigerian, so am I! Atleast you are able to agree that ethnicity is a dimension of who we are. Infact, I couldn't care less if a human being identifies himself as whatever but what you identify yourself as is not always what you are. We have people who think they're demi-gods, doesn't mean they are. We have people who say they're not Igbo, does not mean they're not. Being Igbo is not really a matter of personal choice, it's not like being a christian or muslim, it is an external tag, if you speak the language in your community, you fall into the category, like it or not.

Lol someone is scared of Donzman, haha! grin
Sorry, i choose not to be drawn into certain political, cultural or religious debate. And as you think you are the smartest person around, i am sure you would understand.

I also choose not to disclose my ethnicity. Ethnicity is not as important to me as it is to you.

You need to get a good life and quit with the one-liners, you're not smart enough to go past one line in your responses?. . .You were harassing me for calling you Igbo and I asked you where you're from, you refuse to answer, so get a life!

You keep harassing me for calling you Igbo and I'm telling you this, if you're from an Igbo speaking community, you're Igbo. If you're not, then you're whatever you are and Donzman does not care!
Quite sad that you resort to insulting people who you don't agree with. Unlike you, i will not descend to your level. Considering the age you posted, i am rather surprised, thought you would know better.

Do you honestly think it is the amount of words that a person speaks that determines smartness or cause changes to take place? With all the debates that have raged on in Nigeria by various groups and fractions, where has that gotten us as a nation? huh No wonder we are a nation of talkers and not doers. I don't know who you think you are but trust me, there are lots of smart people on this forum that don't go around bragging.

Like i started in my earlier post, what is so bad about those people who don't want to be identified as Igbo? Ethnicity is just a dimension of who we are and does not define us in totality, at least that is how i see it. You don't have to agree.

I am a Nigerian and proud to be one but it is tiring hearing all this tribalistic nonsense floating around. No wonder we are so self-destruct as a nation.

I see myself as a Nigerian first, then my religion second, and ethnicity last.
