Hi gurus in d house... Pls can anyone give me d description of how to locate GSS DOCUMENT COLLECTION CENTER- block 94, plot 23, providence street, lekki-epe expressway, lekki scheme 1, Lagos. Pls to those who collected their visas in d above address, how do i locate the place? How do locate d place precisely from Obalende or from CMS? My pick up date is tomorrow and i just confirmed dat my visa and dat of my wife is ready for pick up. I'm not in Lag presently and i'm not so used to Lag but i'm planning to leave for Lag very early tomorrow morning to pick up our documents. Pls ur prompt reply will be highly appreciated. Yes she asked such questions from me too and i told her many untrue things in response to such question since she can't verify it. I've said it before and i'll say it again, they don't know most of d answers u give or let me say the window 16 CO is not really looking of 100% correct answers but how bold and confident u're are in attending to her questions. SO PLS IF ANYONE FIND HIM/HERSELF IN FRONT OF THE WINDOW 16 CO, JUST MAKE SURE U TALK AND SAY EVERY THING WITH CONFIDENCE AND BOLDNESS EVEN IF THEY'RE NOT 100% CORRECT. I'll furthermore appreciate the designer of NAIRALAND- MR SEUN for this wonderful trend that's meant to put forumist thru in the realization of their AMERICAN DREAMS and consequently putting smiles on our faces. TO ALL HOUSE MEMBER, temmytanny, gentiger and others too numerous to mention, THANKS FOR THE KNOWLEDGE U'VE INSTILLED IN ME THAT HAS IN NO SMALL MEASURE ENSURED OUR SUCCESS @ THE INTERVIEW. I might av been a silent forumist but believe u me, i followed every page of this trend on a per second basis *smiles* and only comment wen d need be. TO PPL GOING 4 THEIR INTERVIEWS, if u're lucky not to fall in window 16, then congrat but if a bit unlucky like me, let me again stress d principles of beating the CO @ window 16. 1. Adequate preparation both in educational and personal question. 2. Eye Contact thru out d interview 3. Rapid answers wit no element of unnecessary pause 4. Gesticulation play an important role too. 5. Be bold and confident in answering her question. 6. Technical terms and formulas will go a long way, i talked more of technical terms and mechanical formulas till she was lost and tired of asking more questions. 7. Go wit all document even if they are not dat relevant and keep them in another envelop cuz it helped me as i printed out our bank statements of 2009 and 2010 that showed different transactions of money we sent to each other way back in sch. 8. For married couples, say d truth and nothing butd truth not minding how embarrassing d situation dat surrounded ur answers might be. I FEEL OUR INTERVIEW WAS A BIT TOUGH CUZ I ENTERED AS SINGLE BUT GOT MARRIED BEFORE D RESULT CAME OUT AND HAD TO ATTACH MY WIFE SO D NECESSITY OF HAVING TO PROVE D AUTHENTICITY OF MY MARRIAGE. WAS ASKED SO MANY QUESTIONS DAT I COULDN'T POST CUZ THEY'RE PERSONAL BUT WHAT HELP WAS DAT I AND MY WIFE HAD A LONG TIME(4YRS) COURTSHIP AND SO WE WERE FOND OF EACH OTHER. Once again thank you all and God bless. Picking up my our visas on tuesday.

OUR INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE(Window 16): CO- Gd mrn. I & WIFEY- Gd mrn. Finger prints done & wife was ask to sit while i was interviewed. CO QUESTIONS- 1. Whatz ur highest educational qualification? HND IN MECH ENGINEERING. 2. What're ur final year courses? 3. What is thermodymanics? 4. How is thermodynamics related to an automobile engine? 5. Explain ur schedule of duty @ work. 6. What questions where u asked in mathematics during ur WAEC? 7. What is Algebra? 8. What do u know about trigonometry in math? 9. When & where did u meet ur wife? 10. Where was she staying @ dat time? 11. Do u av ur wedding pix here? 12. Who and who are these in ur welding album? 13. Who owns d jeep u used during ur wedding? AT THIS POINT, Wife was called & i was asked to sit. CO asked most of the personal questions asked from me from my wife too and also added this- tell me about ur final year project. I WAS CALLED AT THIS POINT & as she wasn't convinced, she asked us to sit and we were called @ window 8(a door leading to an inner private window when we met another CO) after about 1hr. WIFE WAS ASKED to go out and so many questions to test the authenticity of my marriage were asked- even question lyk wen we first had sex and wen we had sex last were asked too, this lasted for another 30mins and WIFE WAS CALLED IN to be questioned again while i went out, she however missed one question here. WE THEN WENT OUT AGAIN and sat for some minutes wen we were called @ window 16 again and our visas were finally approved. GOT INTO D INTERVIEW HALL AROUND 8AM AND LEFT AROUND 1PM. The secret of our interview was 1. Prayers and divine favour 2. Wen @ window 16, it's advisable to talk in technical jargons cuz by dis, d lady gets tired of asking more questions. 3. Thorough study and revision of ur past educational courses and subject as regards to sec sch. 4. I got to realise dat d CO(S) are not mr or mrs know all, all they're looking out for is how confident and bold u're, i could remember i gave some wrong answers but she couldn't decode cuz i spoke more in technical terms. The window 16 CO denyed like 4ppl while i was there, d black angel wasn't around 2day instead a young white american guy was in window 13 and another white lady was in 15- they were both nice. But as for window 16, she was so tough wit each interview section btw 40mins to 1hr. THANKS TO EVERYONE IN D HOUSE, MY SUCCESS STORY WOULDN'T AV BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT UR CONTRIBUTIONS. PRAISE GOD! MY VISA AND DAT OF MY WIFE HAS BEEN APPROVED. The window 16 lady was so tough... She denyed so many ppl and devil wanted to used her against me and my wife but GOD WAS MORE DAN THE DEVIL AND OUR VISA WAS FINALLY APPROVED. IMCOOL AND WIFEY, WELCOME TO AMERICA(TEXAS)... justwise: You really need dictionary more than i do, when you give money or gift to alter somebody's behaviour/views/judgement then that is bribery. When you give a police officer money through unofficial means to facilitated a service then that is bribery.

Gentiger: Imcool, I am cool too. Firstly, Okada to those routes have been banned. Secondly, going thru Obalende isn't cool.

Get to CMS instead and board a bus heading to anyone of these routes. They will drop you off at the embassy bus stop.

Maroko Sandfill, Law school Idowu Taylor or Aja. Let the conductor know you are headed to the US embassy. But if you ask me, keep N3k aside for a taxi ride from any part of Lagos to Walter Carrington Crescent. That saves you time and stress.

I don't like it when people start dropping number of police officers for some back-door deals. This place should not be used to promote or encourage bribery or some dodgy dealing.

Point of correction JUSTWISE, it's no back door deals and besides, d money is not going to my pocket. I only have it out on request and who do u thinks is promoting bribing and corruption? One who paid 7k like a lady i met same day dat i did mine or i who paid 4k cuz i was directed to d ASP by an immigration officer? If u don't like it like you claim, someone else may do. I don't thinks it bad to direct a forumist to one who will make things cheaper, easier and even faster by only give directives to his officers and in a tinkle of an eye, d certificate is done. emybaby2: Hurray, i've been given my visa today, am so happy. I woke up early and arrived the place and we were checked in by 6:30am. Passed through the security check and got in. We did the documentation i.e gave my original and photocopied documents. I forgot to include 2 photocopied marriage certificate rather it was one and they wrote it down in my form that one certificate is out. That was the only error i made though i was nervous. Then we waited again. When it was time for the interview, window 16 who is a white lady was so tough with so much drilling of people with questions. The first couple for DV there were rejected by her. Up to 5 people went and she either refer them for the next day or told them that they have failed. A particular woman with a family of 5 children and her husband were denied their DV visa. What i come to know is that if you can't answer or defend your education and also know dates of birth, time you went to school etc, then there will be problems. The woman in window 13 was so nice and was handing down visas like water only denied one man. Who wasn't a DV applicant.
After praying that i should not pass through the white woman, believing God for window 13 when i was called to window 16(the white woman.)

My interview is close and though, it's scheduled for 10am but i don't want to waste much tym locating d embassy. Your reply or that of any other guru in the house will surely be appreciated. temmytanny: All those going for interview sooner or later, i wish you all success.Have been busy of late but thank God some people are doing a good job to help others. As medical fees,I think Qlife is more expensive and maybe cos they are new in this business and trying to make as much profit as they can. It cost my Baby just 4500,my wife less 30k also and me 33k during my own time(I used KAMORASS then but they are not in use again)for all including all the vaccines

Keep ur calm bro, i'll advice dat you withdraw from the travel agency- Apple choice for they are gonna only eat up ur doe. As for sending the photocopy of ur marriage certificate, it's never a crime. I sent mine too along side an official letter to change my status from single to married while sending my forms to KCC, this i think made the claim of my change of status more believable. As for my own case, i was single wen i entered for d 2013 dv lottery but got married b4 d result came out. I av my interview appointment letter already and my wife as been included as a beneficiary on the appointment letter so there's no cause for alarm. All the best bro.
