Family / Re: Should I Question Ny Landlord? by Ingriid(f): 7:08am On Jun 17, 2020
Good morning, this is my simple advise to u cos I once had water issues.

To avoid communal problem I won’t suggest the generator thing cos trust me issues about who fuels it and all may come into play.

If u can get this big ‘drum’ the type they use in parties to ice drinks, get it and find a mallam / aboki that can fetch water for u, then u store it in there . If u are still single better for u cos u will know how to manage water. This is what I did in my own case but if u can afford the gen and all u tenants live peacefully and no landlord troubles, pls get the gen. I hope u find this helpful .

This our country is a joke. A big joke.

Ganduje wants to probe sanusi

The same Ganduje that was caught on tape accepting bribe.

How did we get here as a nation.

Do you know that if it was in a sane country once that video became public knowledge, Ganduje would've resigned immediately!

Our leaders think so lowly of us that is why

They will pay a solidarity visit to a thief who was found guilty because he is one of them ( No honour among thieves though)

That is why someone will be disqualified because of his certificate. The same certificate he used to become governor the first time.

These guys believe that we can't do anything say we go just shout we go tire. Next week another political news go distract us

To some extent they are correct. Abi na 2023 we dey wait for make dem give us Ijebu garri and 500 naira we go sell our soul to the highest bidder.

Sometimes I think of Nigeria problems and I see no end sight. There is no sign that things will become better

Good morning brother, I tell u what d problem is not even all these leaders, d main problem is U and I. We are so comfortable with d way Nigeria is and it’s so sad. If u ask me, we are not ready for this change at all. We make a joke out of everything reason these guys take us for granted.

My mum believes Nigeria will be great again cos she prays everyday but I do tell her God will not come down to do what we meant to do to better our lives. It worries me like u. I hope we wake up soon, as in very soon.

Miss ModestGal/ Mrs Modest Gal, anyone that fit in. I was one of d many people that likes ur first comment cos of the message u preached; advocating young girls to be something in life, which is a good course, but trust me, u are the opposite of what u preach!

U are so full of bitterness , u should change ur orientation if u want to be a motivational speaker like u are portraying here.

You said d clip disgusts u, why, just why?? Didn’t u learn to mind ur business or u should be happy for people when they are happy?

Also, who made u d judge of life that a young girl cannot naturally love an older man. Times have changed lady and in life just anything can happen.

Your message is not bad at all but you bringing Regina down to pass ur message is what I find unjust. Stick to ur message of hope without bringing anyone down lady!

Away from the tribal banter already going on regarding this post, if u are a lover of literature , pls read Lola shoneyi’s “The secret lives of Baba Segi’s Wives” Great story! I kid u not.

It’s all about polygamy, how some wives bring in illegal children, hatred ,adultery and so on. It’s a great story!

Kudos to Mo Abudu for this great achievement. I can’t wait to watch this literature on Netflix . Weldone ma!

BE PREPARED

Everyone is telling you how to NOT catch #coronavirus, but NO ONE is saying what to do if you get it. Thanks to this nurse in the UK for putting this guide together:

Finally, some sensible advice. From a GP Nurse in the UK.

What I have seen a lot of are recommendations for how to try to avoid getting coronavirus in the first place:

• good hand washing
• personal hygiene
• social distancing

but what I have NOT seen a lot of is advice for what happens if you actually get it, which many of us will.
So as your friendly neighborhood Nurse let me make some suggestions:

If you get Covid-19

You basically just want to prepare as though you know you’re going to get a nasty respiratory bug, like bronchitis or pneumonia. You just have the foresight to know it might come your way!

Things to start doing now:

Get 20 minutes sun on your entire body (or as much as possible) every day. This will dramatically increase your Vitamin D levels, which improves your immune system.

If affordable take a good general supplement, plus 2000mg Vit C a day. Include ZINC, SELENIUM & GLUTATHIONE.

Scott’s Emulsion is a great general tonic (cod liver oil)

Things you should actually buy ahead of time:

*Kleenex*

*Paracetamol*

*Cough medicine* of choice (check the label and make sure you're not doubling up on Paracetamol)

*Zinc lozenges*

*Throat spray* like Andolex or TCP

*Honey and lemon* can work just as well!

*Vicks* vaporub for your chest is also a great suggestion.

*A humidifier* would be a good thing to buy and use in your room when you go to bed overnight. (You can also just turn the shower on hot and sit in the bathroom breathing in the steam)

*If you have a history of asthma* and you have a prescription inhaler, make sure the one you have isn’t expired and refill it/get a new one if necessary.

*Meals* This is also a good time to meal prep: make a big batch of your favorite soup to freeze and have on hand.

*Hydrate* hydrate, hydrate! Stock up on whatever your favorite clear fluids are to drink, though tap water is fine you may appreciate some variety!

*For symptom management* and a fever over 38°c take Paracetamol rather than Ibuprofen.

*Rest lots* You should not be leaving your house! Even if you are feeling better you may will still be infectious for fourteen days and older people and those with existing health conditions should be avoided!

*Wear gloves and a mask* to avoid contaminating others in your house

*Isolate* in your bedroom if not living alone, ask friends and family to leave supplies outside to avoid contact.

*Sanitize* your bed linen and clothes frequently by washing and clean your bathroom with recommended sanitizers.

*You DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL unless* you are having trouble breathing or your fever is very high (over 39°C) and unmanaged with meds.

90% of healthy adult cases thus far have been managed at home with basic rest/hydration/over-the-counter meds.

If you are worried or in distress or feel your symptoms are getting worse:

*Pre-existing risks* If you have a pre-existing lung condition (COPD, emphysema, lung cancer) or are on immunosuppressants, now is a great time to talk to your Doctor or specialist about what they would like you to do if you get sick.

*Children* One major relief to you parents is that kids do VERY well with coronavirus, they usually bounce back in a few days (but they will still be infectious) Just use pediatric dosing .

*Be calm and prepare rationally* and everything will be fine. This is to inform us all that the pH for corona virus varies from 5.5 to 8.5.

All we need to do, to beat corona virus, we need to take more of an alkaline foods that are above the above pH level of the Virus.

Some of which are:

*Lemon - 9.9pH*
*Lime - 8.2pH*
*Avocado - 15.6pH*
*Garlic - 13.2pH*
*Mango - 8.7pH*
*Tangerine - 8.5pH*
*Pineapple - 12.7pH*
*Dandelion - 22.7pH*
*Orange - 9.2pH*

How do you know you have coronavirus?

1. Itching in the throat
2. Dry throat
3. Dry couch
4. High temperature
5. Shortness of breath
6. Loss of sense of taste & smell
7. Covid toes - toes turning blue/black
8. Repeated sneezing.

Some or all of the above

So where you notice these things quickly take warm/hot water with lemon and drink. (You may add chopped garlic, ginger, teaspoon turmeric )

Do not keep this information to yourself only. Pass it to all your family and friends.
Ok , thanks.

I am not here to defend God, cos d Almighty one who created d heavens , earth and who created u both without having an idea of how he did it can definitely defend himself. U are anti-God, why don’t u stick to ur belief and don’t drag people down? Why don’t u let people that still believe in God be!

One of u is challenging God why he couldn’t save d poor girl from d rapist. This same God told man ‘ Love ur neighbour as ur self, he wasn’t wrong when he said it. If we all love ourselves like God commanded do u think there will be so much evil in d world? He went further to tell parents to train their children well. Will u hold God responsible for poor parenting ? These guys are rapist cos they are not well trained or they erred along d line. My dear ones, God has given us d guidelines to live and survive this world , but we have all erred, by all; I am included as well, pastors, bishops, immmams, parents, All of us have gone outside of God. God never intended any one of us to perish, Never! but we humans we have redirected our parts in life.

God has given all of us free wills, it depends on u and I how we intend to play it. U are an atheist, I will never ever drag u for it, instead I will pray God intervenes but y’all watch out for anything Christians, muslims, church, mosque just to pour insult on people; haven’t u heard of live and let live? One of u even said these idiots, damn! They are idiots because they don’t share in ur fate that there’s no God? I think it’s high time we outgrow all these.

If u can’t respect this man as a man of God, that’s fine but why can’t u respect him as an elderly man that could pass for ur grandfather or less ur father? Someone even calls him slowpoke, how despicable!

I listened to this sermon this morning, this man just said this statement in passing with no strings attached., and for those of u shouting he predicted, did u watch d video and heard d word ‘prophecy from him.

Shame on you if u are educated and u can’t just watch the video and digest before u comment. .

Oh! U men really brought out d right words out of my mouth.
I tell u what, finance plays a very big role in a successful marriage. To my friends, sisters and ladies around me I tell them it’s good to be a wife, infact very good, to be a mother is one of d blessings in d world, d tot of bringing a baby to this world tickles my fancy. Trust me that is not just enough for a woman. A woman should not and never be comfortable to just be a mother or a wife.

I will forever use women like omotola, Beyoncé, Ngozi Okonkwo-Iwela and d late Dora Akunyili(RIP) as my role models. God created us for a purpose and we should strive to fulfill it.

To d men also, why be in a hurry to get married when u are not settled financially?by been settled, I’m not saying u should have millions in ur account but just be settled enough to take care of ur family. ( we both should do exploits in our marriage)

Going forward, men and women should bring something to d table, PLAN well before u get married!

"Men calling women olosho"...how is that related to the topic? Or you're probably looking for an excuse to justify the comment of the stupid girl?

Hi Sis,

Thank you for reaching out.
My outburst or should I say reprimand is in a bid to end the name calling.

It's bad already and I totally understand your message, which is why I am disappointed in her comment. It's like a sell out. You understand me? She's giving some of them a reason to attack us.

Trust me, it hurts to see some of them call us names which is why we need to call ourselves to order(by not igniting the fire. Nothing on this thread warranted her post)

Her outburst would have been justified if she was responding to a call out.
I'm all for "women supporting women" ONLY when they are right!

It is in the light of the above, I have decided to sit Cynthia Morgan's story out.
As women, we need to stop using our emotions to get justice. I believe in logical reasoning.
I am not perfect but will never generalize the Nigerian men... Only when they come for me would I react. If there's anyone to call them names, I think I should be in the Top 5 but I realise not all of them are evil.

Some of us have loving parents, brothers, husbands, uncles etc... Some of us weren't so lucky...but does that make all of them bad?

If you can, kindly go through her posts and you'll see she's becoming an irritant.
That is so not how to fight a cause.

1. Every youth can't go about creating a vaccine for "one virus". There are other fields their expertise are required.

2. It's rude to involve one's parents in an argument, more so, his grandparents which I'm sure are well older than you... Besides, the guy didn't have the conversation with you but Otedola... Speaks a lot about your upbringing. One thing is certain, you just refused training

3. You don't know him, so don't conclude he is jobless. If he had done what you suggested, you'd be the first to call him an online beggar

4. I know you want attention, so here you go:
a. By "Nigerian men" , I hope you know that includes all the men in your family except you don't understand English?

b. Sex starved? Girl, you should change your circle. It's obvious you've been hanging with " chewing-gum boys" and these set of guys are known to want sex all the time.

You need an upgrade!

I hope you are ready for what is to come on this thread?

Don't play the "women supporting women card" here cos you alone called them out and they have a right to defend themselves.

You really don't have to comment on every thread as you seem troubled undecided

Cheers!

I just hope u will be around d corner to say NO to all these evil names, guys call ladies on this forum , just like u said No to millenniumlady’s comment.
