Put things into perspective. Russia is almost at par with US but US has more than 10x the annual military budget of Russia. Now that's one on one. Then add the other NATO countries to the list. Russia is a lone ranger in this case. The best thing they did was to financially castrate Russia globally. Let's see how they can successfully prosecute the war. The nuclear warheads are in Russia. If those nuclear warheads are decimated in Russia, who will it affect? If you store gallons of petrol in your house to fight your enemies, what happens if the enemies throw fire into your house first? A shock and awe attack will send Russia back to stone age. Don't think that other countries are not at alert about happening in Russia/Ukraine. Like I said, they are not useless countries like Nigeria that fail to plan and believe that Jesus will levitate down to fight for them while they die like roaches.

The biggest mistake Russia will make is to count on China. They are chameleons. I wouldn't support US getting involved directly. Some of you are mouthing off forgetting that the people dying are people's family members. This is not a video game. Anything to avoid unnecessary waste of lives is welcomed that's why Putin needs to de-escalate the situation. But if he think the whole world will watch him like cowards, he is daydreaming.

NATO is just using small Ukraine to deliver small small punches to Russia so that by the time the inevitable happens, Russian military would have been battered and demoralized. I still don't see a good end result for Russia in this.

During my course of sojourn in the teaching field, I have discovered that small schools pay more compared to bigger schools.

There's this big school I teach which pays me a bit higher than what a smaller school was paying despite having more than 3 times the population of the small one. They usually complain they pay a lot of people which is true but theres a good response to payment of school fees from the students as more than 80% of students pay before exam starts and 95% plus pay at exam commencement.

What are your views about this trend?

NB:The owner of the school has bought cars and houses and no teacher in that school has a bike. It's from hand to mouth.

Whoever graduates from a university in Nigeria and earns less than N50k per month deserves no sympathy. The essence of going to school is to learn not to be an employee. There are many things one can do to earn a good living in Nigeria. Do you know what killed decent living in Nigeria? Dishonesty! Hi every one, l have been a nairalander for over 10 years and have seen people get advised here, thats why l am putting this up with my account.
I am not blaming anybody for my predicament, neither do l blame the loan app company for their shark like business sytle, l take responsibility for my actions. I am one of those people who criticized people for Falling into the trap of online loan company. It's basically a rat race syndrome and tends to take you deeper and deeper from the seemingly innocuous first attempt.

It all started when my side hussle of buying and selling food stuff suffered a decreased in cost of replacement due to inflation and my sales boy stealing my money. I took my first loan to boost my business and realized that the cost of the loan is high. Since then, it's been a malicious cycle of robbing Peter to pay Paul. I realized that l was lossing money in each transcation and in order to meet up with my payment to avoid defaulting, l resorted to other loan company. Now, l don't even no what to do, all cash injection coming to me is spent on servicing the loan. I can't even feed my family and pay my children school fees. I am tire of this scenario and want to break free. It has taken a toil on me physically, mentally and spiritually.

I seek advice from people who have gone thru this ugly experience on how to break free before it is too late. Below is the list of my indebtness:

US and allies are prosecuting the war by proxy. The problem with Nairaland analysts is that they are more emotional than logical---typical Nigerian I may add. War is not always by guns, bullets, jets and tanks. They choked Russia financially thus limiting the needed resources to prosecute the war. Money is essential to successful prosecution of war. Putin and his cronies (aka oligarchs) have been put on the defensive financially all over the world. He never expected such stealth response.

Putin is that bully that everyone has been watching as he baths in delusion of grandeur. And when push comes to shove, the class got together and beat him with everything including kitchen sinks.

It is not just about Putin. They are using the Russian oligarchs as an example of what could go wrong and most importantly, as a deterrent to other hard nuts who may want to pop off in future. In recent times I couldn't help but think about how the artisan and Craftsmanship industry of Nigeria will be 10 years from now.

I remember back in the 80s and 90s, it is common and even a thing of pride whereby people sign up for apprenticeship for a couple of years to get the required skill in their field of interest.

Some Parents like my father even insisted on adding artisanry to formal education as plan B. So all each children had to learn a skill while waiting for admission or during the one year industrial training period in higher institutions ( A legacy I will earnestly follow with my lineage).

Aside the fact that it is a huge boost to ones C.V., you will never beg for food unless you weren't serious with your training.

But today you hardly see youngsters, learning Craftsmanship or artisanry. Every body wants to be a content creator, a programmer, content writer, Yahoo yahoo and the likes.

Nobody wants to be a plumber, an electrician, a technician, a mechanic, a bricklayer or tiler, welder, iron bender and the likes.

Have you noticed how difficult it is to get an experienced and skilled artisan these days. Sometimes you have to wait for days for them to come and do jobs for you in your house.

The crux of the matter is the crop of experienced and skilled artisans and Craftsmen and women presently available are those from the 80s and 90s. Most of their apprentices are actually with them just to make ends meet thereby prioritizing the need to make money above that of properly learning the skill from their master.

Personally I think it's just a matter of a couple of years before we realize the dire situation of artisanry and Craftsmanship in this country. Maybe by then we will start looking for foreigners to fill in the gaps.
