/ The only people in Igbo land interested in the Presidency are the same set of people that Igbo people love to hate--the politicians. An average Igbo person is interested in infrastructures and a level playing field. The quest for the Presidency is hinged on the hope to protect these interests. Build good roads, provide electricity and maintain a stable economy; Igbo people couldn't care less who is in Aso Rock because politics is not a big employer of labour in SE. That's all. / |
/ He is even lucky. There was a time when people played for the fun of it and ice cream. Parents would beat their children who dared touch football. It was reserved for losers until providence smiled on footballers. Coach Clemens Westerhof opened that floodgate in Nigeria. / |
Vabama:/ He doesn't even make sense. Reading the manual he talked about is akin to people figuring out their lives except that there are no manuals to read. In products, you can call up the manufacturer directly and get definitive answers. Can you call up God to get answers without passing through middlemen who will hustle you for cash? Then I remember that he is talking to Nigerians. Even if it doesn't make sense, throw God in the mix and they will applaud and nod heads in agreement. You can be anything you want to be opens up possibilities and is not the same as you must be anything you want to be. / |
247tops:/ Don't be surprised that the next school he visits, all the teachers will run away. / |
/ Being a POS operator in Nigeria is like a public service announcement with the message--there is money present without adequate security. / |
/ If you are an unemployed first class graduate, it means that you don't deserve it because you didn't learn anything. Craming and vomiting the contents of books is not intelligence. Define education. / |
/ Europe, North America and Asia with scarce natural resources embrace technology to control the world while South America and Africa with abundance of natural resources are busy praying, fasting and living comfortably in abject poverty while remaining unabashedly at the mercy of the rest. And if you talk to Africans and South Americans, they will tell you that they are the wisest and demand respect. Respect from who? This life no balance at all. ![]() / |
Elobest:/ You people clamour for better Nigeria yet you keep falling for the same gimmicks. Go to Omuma, Hope Uzodinma is a great philanthropist. Before he became a governor, Rochas was a philanthropist of national repute. What happened? A good governor is a good "manager" of State resources not necessarily a successful private entrepreneur nor a philanthropist. Sharing bags of rice, tricycles and paraphernalia during campaigns are still acts of giving no matter how dubious it may seem. It seems that the take off of the much touted Medical Research center is tied to gubernatorial success of the doctor. Otherwise, what's the delay? We know that philanthropy and politics are like Siamese twins in Nigeria. I hope the doctor proves his people wrong. / |
Preciousgirl:/ Apparently they are bleaching for the ladies who love fair guys. In as much as I think that those who bleach should be handed over to SARS, I am wondering how you railroaded the question into your personal choice of men. / |
/ Karma at work? The Nigerian Embassy in Jakarta(Indonesia) is notorious for being indifferent and locking their services away from Nigerians when they seek succour against the machinations of Indonesian authorities. He thought he was invicible but he just got served. Unlike him, the Indonesian authorities didn't see Onye dot ; they saw a Blackman who happens to be a Nigerian. We still remember how some Nigerians attacked and destroyed the Nigerian Embassy in Indonesia last year because of the nonchalant attitude of the Embassy officials to their welfares. The ambassador has finally realized towards the end of his tenure that he is not beyond reproach. Low level immigration officials made him cry like a baby. I am sure that he is still in disbelief. / |
spyder880:/ Cutix has been unbeatable for decades. Their major competitors back in the early 90s were England cables. I am surprised that they maintained the same standard. / |
Odewaleadesoye:/ The joke is on you who believe that a Nigerian politician can be embarrassed or shamed. They are a special breed of human beings. / |
Slimslimqq:/ Why would an only son be "dragging" a property with his mother? It is their family house. / |
michlins:/ Nigerians think that because someone is the President/CEO of a corporation, it belongs to him. There are fronts and there are people who own companies behind the scene. The only people good at cracking such sharp business practices are the I.R.S and sometimes, the FBI. They follow the money closely. / |
aidameoryou:/ How could he? Don't forget the mor.ons that argue that someone is already wealthy therefore would not loot the state treasury. The definition of stupidity should have Nigerians as examples. / |
/ The only thing that can spare Kyari from trial is death. His name is already in the system. He will continue fighting the case for the rest of his life like Kashamu. Kashamu knew no peace until his death. US is ready and willing to prosecute people for crimes perpetrated 40 years ago. Kyari will be AGF and subsequent AGF's cash cow. They will continue extorting him for protection until he gives up. The psychological trauma of paranoia and not knowing when he will be snatched up is too much a stress on its own. / |
/ Social media is a loaded gun. Some take out the bullets while some hand loaded guns to their enemies. Flaunting comes with occupational hazards. Brazil? He was probably laundering drug money using crypto trading as a front. Such firepower doesn’t come from envy. / |
/ Start a business. You are better off using the money to buy a Toyota Corolla for Uber/taxi in case you lose your job. I don't think you understand the cost of building a house in this period. Cash flow is the most important thing at this stage in your life. / |
143WaZoBia:/ There is nowhere it is stated that religion and politics do not mix. It was a decision by the founding fathers of USA to fight against the machination of the citizens by the government of Great Britain in collaboration with the church. How did this get imported into Nigerian society or people just like to mouth off on what they don't understand? What's next? I hear Nigerian law enforcement officers saying the Miranda right to suspects. I believe Nigerians copy what they don't understand. Do they provide free legal services to suspects who cannot afford lawyers as noted in the speech? / |
/ Let's give him a chance to try his best. Afterall the current President tried many times before arriving at the ultimate destination. The campaigns and elections you seek do not exist in Nigeria. It doesn't matter if it is the ubiquitous Okada union, a candidate must pay to address them. No reasonable soul in Nigeria will leave his or her house to come to listen to campaign promises if the attendance is not laden with incentives. Some of those mocking him will gladly take N1000 to cast their votes. He cannot bring American politics to Nigeria because when in Rome you must do like Romans. Bringing American system of campaign to Nigeria is as good as using French to address people during rally--waste of effort. / |
/ Poverty can make every arrangement with financial benefits seem reasonable. / |
Optimistguy1969:/ He is a "Nigerian" writer. Sycophants hardly pay attention to details. Go to YouTube and watch videos of his likes trying to prove how some Nigerian youths are richer than Elon Musk. / |
/ He should have used that money to buy an iron box to lock away all the knives in the house. Even as a stranger, I can smell murder. / |
/ Nigeria is where every noble act is thrown to the gutter. Watch them make mockery of honorary doctorate degrees. Even people that didn't finish secondary school are getting Ph.D for the right price. Dr. Odumeje? Dr. Pretty Mike? ![]() With money you can be anything you can imagine in Nigeria. / |
MeghaneMorgane:/ Visit the guy you like so much... and then engage in a horizontal mumbo jumbo with him. / |
/ Assistance and entitlement are two different things. / |
Pumpumking:/ Do you want standing ovation? / |
MoodysMood:/ He has probably given up in life. He hasn't even fulfilled his destiny here on earth but is busy chasing heaven. Even God will be angry at him. / |
EgunMogaji2:/ Hidden cam and pay-per-view? ![]() / |
/ Be careful listening to western psychologists and their classifications of human behaviours. In their world, nobody is normal. Do you remember Drapetomania? It was once classified as a mental disorder for slaves to run away from their masters. Sometimes it pays to put down the textbooks and use one's God given brain. / |
Dijita:/ The beauty of it is that in Nigeria anyone can build whatever tickles their fancy. What I pointed out are personal opinions and considerations why it is not within the realms of my imagination to have open kitchen in my private residence in Nigeria. Anyone that has it figured out should be at liberty to go for it. Afterall baba Egunmogaji2 is considering putting a burglary-proof in his ceiling and hooking it up to 480v (240v may not be lethal enough ) against those who want to crawl through to jack his stuff./ |
/ Some people can only learn the hard way. He chose to date a Nigerian lady with tattoos on her body. How low could he go? He was in it for the thrill and ended up dead. / |
