Nigeria is going to the World Cup. They gave the contract to design their jersey to an American company. The American company subcontracts the design and sewing to a Chinese sweatshop. Bingo! Americans get paid. The Chinese get paid. While niggas in Africa are fvcking over N72k thinking they are supporting their Super Eagles, they are actually bloating the account of an American company. The worst of it all, the American company is hoarding the jerseys and Nigerians are begging to buy something they could easily acquire at Aba for a fraction of the cost. I weep for the black man.

Ofuzo: My brother, I was at Enugu for a few days three years ago. I even went to ShopRite and also saw the new enugu Secretariat. The Secretariat looked better in picture than in real life and the number one cause of that is the shoddiness of the surrounding environment. The comparison with Kigali is not right in that way. Kigali does not have STREET TRADING, STREET HAWKING, TRADING ON PEDESTRIAN SIDEWALKS, simply trading everywhere like it is in igbo cities. Some of the onitsha style three and four deckings that was replicated in enugu and other igbo cities is an eyesore. If you look closely at the Kigali pictures this guy was kind enough to post, you'd notice that there are no BROWN ANYWHERE. It's the same in western countries. You will never ever see an exposed ground anywhere in the US, a country the size of west africa. The reason is because they do 100% landscaping. The first picture is enugu while the rest is Kigali. It's obvious looking at the pictures, that the enugu one looks very disorganized. / Nothing that you are saying has not been said before. But when you realize that you might as well be talking to a wall, you calm down to keep your sanity intact. If your goal here is to make sense of things happening in Nigeria, then you have failed before you started. Take it as you see it or show by example. The people in charge do fly to UK, US and some exotic places. They know how things should be done but choose not to do it. A lot of people complained many times and finally gave up. / |

Properties › Re: 5 Misconceptions About Real Estate Investments In Nigeria by InvertedHammer: 11:17am On May 28, 2018 |
The paper value of a property is not the real value.
A house/land is worth only what serious buyers are willing to pay. Eg. A house listed for N50m got the highest bid of N35m and stays in the market for years. On approaching a bank for loan, the bank will only accept the house as collateral on a N30m loan. Is the house really worth N50m? Some estates are selling lands for N15m/plot with many empty plots littered haphazardly everywhere. After a few years/months, they are forced to do downward review of prices to attract buyers to offset their obligations to banks. A distress sale for financial or health reason(s) is the worst position to be in.
Until the papers are signed and payments made, any value on any property is just an estimated value.

abnot: Rubbish seen many Nigerians consistently acquiring plots here and there yet when they need cash they are unable to liquidate . A colleague of mine bought some plots somewhere at a cost of 3M . Four years later he wanted his wife to give birth in Texas and he tried to sell two of the plots. They told him the value of the two plots was now 5M. For 6 months he couldn’t find a buyer. I’d rather invest in other things or even pension assets / That is the sad reality some folks fail to acknowledge. There are a lot of distress sales in lands and houses recently. It is a good place to put money but not always profitable especially when adjusted for inflation. N1m in 2010 ($6,667)have higher purchasing power than N1m ($2,777) in 2018. A land bought for N1m then need to be sold at above N2.4m to be profitable today. However, the beauty of lands/property is that they are good stores of value not prone to wide negative variations in price. \ |

Romance › Re: It Is Unnatural To Be Gay, No One Is Born That Way by InvertedHammer: 8:54am On May 27, 2018 |
mhisbliss: I came across a thread where a guy claimed he discovered his sister is a lesbian, some of the comments on that thread got me annoyed and amused, most of the comments were "She's born that way, its natural" i know that this comment is influenced by the western world but we're not like them, we have norms, culture and a way of life, and we're supposed to be who we are.
Theres no evidence anywhere to prove that homosexuality is natural, it cannot be genetically or biologically defined, theres no gene responsible for homosexuality, and nothing about the human anatomy suggests homosexuality is natural, if you examine the male and female sex organ you'd know that it is designed to complement each other, and to reproduce, both needs to work together, therefore by design, we're supposed to be heterosexual not homosexual,
Our culture frowns at it, it is clearly unafrican, abnormal and every religion frowns at it, including christianity Romans 1:26–27 follows this same reasoning. Paul says that men abandoned the natural sexual function of women and engaged in unnatural sex with men. His words make it clear that homosexual behavior is unnatural because it is a rejection of God’s design for sex. Homosexual desire, then, would also be unnatural for the same reason: it drives people to abandon the natural design and function of human sexuality.
No one is born gay, its a psychological and societal problem and it needs to be curtailed as soon as it is discovered. /* Some people are born gay. Ever heard of gene mutation? I believe gays fall under missense or nonsense mutation. Don't think the biologists that term it nonsense mutation are silly. The biggest issue most people have with gays are the latter's penchant for being annoying. */ |
