Such is life.

Fayose rigged himself into office with the fund from GEJ and his military goons.

The power he had is being gradually taken from him.

HE who comes into equity must come with clean hands.

Weep not for Fayose. He is being served.

diordaves:
I've always admired Australian home designs. Most parts of Australia are just as hot and humid like Africa, so in my quest for a functional home design for retirement, a home with good flow, connectivity, airy and light, I had a look downunder Australia. I was so pleased.

The achitecture is so simple but versatile and modern. No gragragra and wasteful features and fixture like most Nigerian blend. No unnecessary Roman columns, expensive parapet. It's really the floor plans that I'm just in love with.

I've sampled some Australian floor plans for critique. From duplex down to four bedrooms, three bedrooms. What I like is the flow of the the whole house. The blend of the kitchen, dinning and living area. So one can be cooking and still engage with the family and then the master class is how this living area flows seemlessly to the Afresco, what we would normally build as a boring balcony. And then what they call the media room which is effectively a reception room for visitors. Yes, some of the plans attached my need minor adjustments according to personal way of life, but I think in the grand scheme of things, Australian floor plans are better suited for hot climate than our current design in Nigeria. Our homes are designed to depend on AC and fan too much. Too many dark areas with no natural light or even ventilation. I think our achitects can do better. What do you guys think?

Perhaps Australians don't have the same kind of security challenges that make Nigerians build prison yards for houses.

/

On the precast vs simple masonry design, I think a combination of both may look awesome. Precast on top and masonry finish on the sides and under. Some of the precasts are overkill sometimes.

One can still graduate at 22 in a foreign land and decide to work their ...after some time she or he can apply for nysc exemption. Depending on the circumstances let's not make a big deal over petty issue

Since you are her PRO, where did the certificate come from if she didn't serve?

NYSC said she applied for exemption.
But she was 22 years at graduation. How possible?

Then there is a certificate of completion. Did she serve? Where? Who were her service mates? If not, where did the certificate come from?

The certificate is secondary. Did she serve or was she exempted?

Politics › Re: Eze Madumere Releases Statement On Impeachment by InvertedHammer: 8:27pm On Jul 10, 2018
In his response in paragraph 1 line 4, he affirmed that he does joke with his duties as the Deputy Governor. And I quote ipsissima verba, "Fortunately, the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere is an administrator per excellence who does joke with his duties especially his constitutional responsibilities"

Is that a mistake, oversight or typical nonchalant attitude of Nigerians to details in issues of high importance?

Unless the car is still under factory warranty, I ain't going near any dealership (Americans call it "stealership") workshop.

Isn't it sad that in the last twelve years, Fayose and Fayemi are the only prominent names propping up in gubernatorial matters in Ekiti. Most people don't even know the name of the PDP contestant.
Fayose: 2003-2006
Fayemi:2010-2014
Fayose:2014-2018
Fayemi: ?

Waste of time.

Africans are intellectually lazy. Give them books, they may come out with first class from " cramming and vomiting" but challenge them on the practices of learned principles and it becomes clear that they are tabulae rasa.

Instead of working smart, they believe in miracles from outside sources for success. Talk about low self-esteem. Anyone who thinks that tithing, beheading another human and scamming are the only ways to success is suffering from an incurable innate affliction. Most Nigerians believe these myths and the churches are benefiting from their ignorance.

It is more honorable to die fighting than to die as a sitting duck.

Taraba folks know that prayer is a hopeless man's defence.

Once more Fulani are being eliminated, Buhari will be forced to come out of his shell. No one group has monopoly of violence.

Meanwhile, CAN is still praying and fasting.

Keep deceiving yourselves.

Israel has top-notch security. Christianity and Judaism started from that area. They know that God helps those who help themselves. Bloody Africans are busy praying instead of using their brains--lazy set of people.

You pray to God. Muslims pray to Allah. By body counts, it seems that Allah is winning because herdsmen back their prayers with AK47. They cannot be wished away. You are only praying and waiting for the next news of massacres which is inevitable because the marauders know that folks like you are only living on hope. Try stopping bullets with hope.

Politics › Re: Herdsmen Killings: CAN Suspends Protest, Tells Nigerians To Fast And Pray by InvertedHammer: 4:50pm On Jul 07, 2018
When Christians are hungry, they prepare food and eat.
When traveling, they enter a car and drive.
At the sight of trouble, they run.

But at the risk of extinction, they opt to pray.

On election day, they should sit home and declare full day fasting and prayers so that God will miraculously multiply the votes for their choice candidate.

Idiotas!

Politics › Re: 5 Reasons Africans Are Still Poor - Aroms Aigbehi by InvertedHammer: 3:45am On Jul 07, 2018
/
The main thing is consumption. They are in constant competition to see who spends the most. And he who spends the most is deemed the wealthiest. Thus you have folks who flaunt to impress thereby wasting money on wants instead of needs. It is a race problem because blacks wherever they are remain consumers and not producers. The saddest part is that their consumption is centered on depreciable items like cars, private residences, shoes, clothes. Any place there is money to be wasted, look around you.

Family › Re: Is It Normal That I Don't Want To Get Married Or Have Kids? by InvertedHammer: 12:54am On Jul 05, 2018
mhd5757:
Hey nairalanders, what do you think? Is this normal? Marriage doesn't appeal to me at all same as having kids, I prefer having dogs even now i have 2 of them and as soon as I get a job and make enough money I plan on getting 3 more making them 5 in number. I know most people, the first thing they want to do as soon as they get a job is to get married and have kids but not me, I'm also not interested in having a girlfriend, though I used to have one back then when I was in the university but we were forced to leave each other being that she had to go back to her country and I had to come back to Nigeria.
After that I got another girl here in Nigeria, but I had to leave her because she was too expensive and she was draining me financially. After that, I just lost interest in relationships and I decided to be single, I decided that even if I feel the need to lay with a woman I can just go to an ashawo hotel or get a steady woman who I can be calling any time I need company. I think this is the lifestyle that suits me especially in this harsh economy, its easier for me. If I get married and have kids imagine all the money I'm going to have to be spending, excess groceries, all kinds of bills, school fees and the list goes on.
At least having a steady woman to call like maybe once a week can't be as expensive as getting married and supporting a wife.
Also having dogs can't be as expensive as raising kids, with dogs all I need to do is to buy their feed, their grooming products and pay for their medical bills and probably training fees too but with kids and a wife imagine all the bills, the lists keep compiling and they never end.
What is your take on this? What do you think?
/
Marriage is not what it used to be.

Don't let them suck you into the bubble.

The "certified" ashewo part is a no no.

The funny thing is that even in a civilized world, hairstyles like 2,3 and 5 will make one a primary suspect.

Throw in some tattoos and some folks will practically give up their seats to stay away from you. Nigerians watch too many American movies.

Celebrities can get by with it by virtue of recognition in urban areas. Why mark yourself for harassment? Everyone has a right to dress whichever way s/he wants just as people have every right to respond whichever way they want to fashion madness. Action and reaction.
