The religious intolerance of Christians is at par with the muslims. The muslims abhor Christians at the same level that Christians hate traditionalists. Burning of churches? Burning of shrines? Can someone tell us the difference. It is a case of my way is the only way.

It goes both ways.

Filing for a divorce is cheap.

Guns are cheap legally and illegally.

A woman with guts can file for divorce and clean the man out.

A man with guts can get a gun and take the woman out.

At the end, the instigators will continue with their lives.

Travel › Re: My Experience Of Racism In America, What Africans Can Learn From It- Aroms Aigbe by InvertedHammer: 8:53pm On Jun 08, 2018
deedeedee1:
Nobody hate black people. They are just viewed as inferior. Black people are believed to be closer to Apes. I wonder why I rarely see Asians complain about racism. The whites believe Asians are more intelligent than they are. Japan, China, South Korea, and even North Korea are technologically advanced. Their countries are extremely rich. The Asians have immense love for their culture and language. There is no respect for the black man at all. You want to know why? Because Africa, the origin of the black man is ensnared in famine, poverty, and underdevelopment. Another reason for this is because they created the countries we live in and we rever their language at the expense of ours. We must accept the fact that for black people to regarded and respected by other races, we must build Africa. But how can we build Africa when we have country like Nigeria that is filled with tribalism, hate, religion intolerance and killings? We should split Nigeria so that tribes that are compatible can live and grow together. The only way police brutality against African-Americans will stop is when we begin to have our Japan, China and Singapore in Africa. That is when the 'superior' whites will give Africans and her descendants respect.
This is my take
/*
To top it off, you see Blacks especially Nigerians bragging about their mastery of English language...lack of which is considered hallmark of stvpidity. One could be a wizard in Mathematics and Physics and be considered a dunce by Nigerians because of inadequate grasp of English language. Now talk about total brainwash by the English.

Surprisingly, technologically advanced countries like Russia, China, Japan, Singapore, etc do not speak English. I give it to Nigerians in chasing shadows.

This is a history lesson to the mumu fellas that think that Europeans came to Africa to preach the gospel and salvation. They came for the natural resources. Like any other group, they came with their religion. After conquering Africa, they shoved their religion down the throat of Africans. Emeka became Peter. Okafor became Solomon. Oghene became Mary. Left with nothing and no brain power to conquer technology, Africans embraced the new religion and remain comfortable in servitude. I am refined if I bow down to the altar, image of Virgin Mary or crucifix but if I visit the shrine/altar of Amadioha, I become ostracized.

Ebola, guinea pox or AIDS are not the biggest diseases inflicting Africans; it is self-loathing.

babaolofin:
Why are you behaving like illiterate uncivilized main market trader? The assets of GT Bank alone is more than 12 billion. NDIC will never declare GT Bank insolvent because of 12 billion naira or fraudulent judgement. The Ibos last year, said they will withdraw their money & the bank will fall, I said it is an empty noise. The bank continues to grow in strength despite the threat. Now, you think 12 billion will sink the bank when all your frauds cannot sink the bank.

It is your people that will lose at the end. Now, we know your behavior. You are envious of GT Bank.
/
GTB could be declared insolvent. The asset of GTB is way more than N12b but that does not mean it is available in cash for day-to-day operations. Don't forget that the assets are by valuations only. N12b will shake GTB's foundations. Investors' concerns, customers' lack of confidence, poaching by competitors, etc can kill GTB. If ACB and CCB can go under, if Bear Stearns can go under, heck if Titanic could sink...what is GTB? Never say never. I am taking my money to IVM bank.

Why would someone go to the airport and start whining about the fare when there are cheaper alternatives? Folks who pursue wants will constantly get rimmed. People like to make big deal out of nothing.

What do you think political thugs do during the off season? Sit in their offices giving finanacial advises? Or in the Operating rooms performing surgeries?

Of course, they go back to their freelancing jobs--armed robbery, motor park touts and extortion. These skills got them employed as thugs in the first place.

They work for politicians and are called up as needed. That doesn't mean that the politicians have controls over their daily operations. By the way, every politician has truck loads of thugs available as needed.

Junk yards are lessons of life. You see all the cars people use as "big boys" being scavenged. From BMW 750Li, Jaguar S-Type, Mercedes s500 to BMW X5. Pretty much most average brands of vehicles are equally represented.

Show up with your tools, loose the parts you want and go up to the cashier and pay. Simple as that!

I know similar stories has been narrated on this forum but I want the world to hear my tale of regret and sorrow.

For nine years I've struggled to eliminate family interference from my home but unfortunately I've not been able to. My father in-law and his wife call the shot and when I resist my wife promptly takes side with them claiming that I'm being disrespectful.

From the onset I pleaded with my own family to allow us chat our own path, learn from our mistakes and grow together in love. This has backfired on me because my wife did not do same with her family.

I can't consider breakup, I don't want my kids to grow in a broken home. The problem is worse presently only God can show me the way out of this mess.

Some might say I was weak from the onset, but some women can be manipulative and cunning. I am in a cage right now, I desperately need help before the worst happens.

Everyone has a path in life.
Everyone cannot be a doctor
Everyone cannot be a lawyer
Everyone cannot be a teacher
Everyone cannot be a ..... driver
Just as every woman cannot be a wife.

You just have to know when to let go, cut your losses or as you mentioned, it may end in a horrible way. The greatest freedom starts when you guide yourself and care less about what people's opinion about you. If your marriage ends in a worst case scenario, your families, friends, enemies, frenemies will continue to live their own lives. You have kids to give your love. Who cares about an irritant wife and her family?

Set her free!

You missed the point. Trump is fighting to make America great again. But Nigeria is stuck with anything else but Nigerian. How can Nigeria grow as a nation when they fail to do the little things they can for themselves? We rely on foreign engineers for major road construction. We rely on China for common toothpick. We rely on oyibo to refine our crude oil. We even rely on a foreign firm to kit our national sports team.Yet some of you think it is straight about economics. The trade war going on in the world being spearheaded by Trump is as a result of every country protecting her "economic" interests by fighting against imposition of tariffs. Ben Bruce is right. Nigeria is a shameless nation. The idea of self-reliance is non-existent.

debaj10:
first off, this is due mainly to increase in US interest rates. this means the dollar is stronger.
- and investors are heeding Trump's call to invest in America- which has record-low unemployment.
- Trump's protectionist policies kicked in last week; it'll lead to record-high manufacturing movement from abroad, back to the US (Canada's PM was furious yesterday).
- the whole world is affected, but we feel it the most because our stocks/currency are near worthless now (tiny dollar gain per naira increase in shares).
- this is why emefiele is trying to flood the markets with dollars through banks and bdcs:
to reduce the effects on the naira and prevent the dollar from destroying our currency.

then Ramadan, fast leading to reduced consumer spending.

then buhari is yet to sign the 2018 budget- now in June.

then you have a nation with at least 5 active, ongoing conflict zones.

meanwhile-
how can anyone disregard the knockon effects of ipobs sit at home, on an entire region that actually produces goods?!
Haba!

modified:
I almost forgot to mention crude oil.
even though it's still about $20 above our benchmark, perception is key.
- the few who want to stay see that govt has little will to pursue aggressive development.
- and then we're in an election year; so instead of massive development across all sectors, we're dealing with strikes, politicians are displaying violent tendencies and buhari's focus is on political bills.

I know i am supposed to post this in the family section but i always get better response from the Romance section. I don't know whether any of you has been in a situation where an in-law comes for a short visit and finally settles in your home without any sign of leaving anytime soon.

My wife's elder sister who is single came to visit us in January but up till now she has not made any move to go and it's not as if we live in a big apartment so there is no much privacy. We got married in 2015 so our union is still young.

This kind of situation puts one in a dilemma because you just don't know what to say and you will be termed "a bad person". She lies on our matrimonial bed even in my presence.

Before now i never knew someone would feel comfortable staying with a younger sister in her matrimonial home. If it is as a result of accommodation problem or maybe you went to a distant location to do one or two things and you now spend sometime in your younger sister's home, that is understandable.

Please what advice do you have for me?
/
Do you pray together before sleep?

When it is your time to pray, add these lines to your prayer:
"What God has joined together, let no man put asunder. All the family members that come to disturb my marriage...they come, dem no wan leave...hoooly ghooost fire!". Garnish the prayer with some speaking in tongue.

She will be shaken. Later your wife will ask you about the prayer points. Tell her that it is an innocent and harmless prayer. Your in-law will definitely move.

Like I said, I was very charitable in my descriptions of aba. Nobody, and absolutely nobody can preach anything to me about aba. I'm what is known in the heydays of the late seventies and early eighties as an aba brought up. I went to Santa Maria primary school which was where ALL THE WEALTHY children of aba went to school. Right now, Aba is a DEAD city subsisting on its vomit. The city cannot grow anymore because it's surrounded by ngwa villages. Even in the early seventies, from the city center of asa road, going one mile exiting the city was umungasi, which is flanked by eziama. Both umungasi and eziama all the way to where ngwa high school is was totally and completely ngwa villages. These places are now part of aba, but that's because almost all the land was sold by the ngwa indegenious. Uptil today my family still live in aba. Anytime I visit nigeria, I've no choice than to stay in aba. I've been visiting nigeria every year now for the past three years, so, please don't come here with your fake assertions
