oladimejiX: Dear Sir,
Was hoping to bring up this discussion later this week, but after receiving notification of salary payment for May yesterday, payment which looks to have been taxed, contrary to our verbal agreement of 80,000 after tax, its imperative i bring this up and since it looks like you might not be in the office today i decided to send it as email, i apologize for the inconvenience.
Sir, after four months (Feb-May) of working, it has become obvious to me that i cannot cope with the pay and the logistics of the job for the following reasons.
1. coming to work everyday and closing by 5pm (making me get home very late) even when there is no IT support work to do, making me sit out the whole day like a receptionist .
2. doing admin jobs (filling invoices, taking cheques to bank, attending to generator etc.) and running errands (including going to buy drink for your son) all of which are not part of an IT support person's job.
3. unconducive work environment. (i use my computer, i use my internet, office is always hot)
Sir, managing with all of the reasons i have given above would have been a lot easier if was getting paid enough to do it, but for a contract non permanent job i am taking a pay cut to do, it is not workable. / You don't know the value of what you have until you lose it. Politics › Re: Asset Declaration: Buhari Should Stop Being Clever By Half by InvertedHammer: 10:24pm On Jun 01, 2015 |
barcanista: I find it repulsive when supporters of the government and APC try to play fast on our collective intelligence. I believe that it is patriotic to set the record straight with respect to Asset declaration.
Declaring of Asset With Code of Conduct Bureau According to the law, EVERY category of public officer MUST declare their asset before CCB.
This every government official fulfilled. The CCB Chairman in 2012 confirmed that exPresident Jonathan declared his www.vanguardngr.com/2012/09/jonathan-has-declared-assets-bureau-chairman/
This is EXACTLY what Buhari and Osinbajo did...
Note: that it isn't mandatory for assets to be declared in publicly, but mandatory to do so with code of conduct
["Public" Asset Declaration(PAD) Unlike CCB declaration, PAD declaration is subject to the wish of the office holder. Musa Yaradua in year 2000 first declared his asset PUBLICLY as Governor of Katsina state. Details of his asset and liabilities was published. In June 2007, against the advice of CCB he went ahead to publish details of his assets and liabilities and those of his wife Turai yaradua. (nm.onlinenigeria.com/templates/?a=10124) He never waited for CCB to publish it neither did Yaradua tell anyone to make demand for it by invoking the FOI law. CCB only does verification, they DON'T publish asset as declared.
For the record, even before the passing of the FOI, any citizen can petition CCB or get a warrant from the Court for the release of asset declaration form of a public officer. It doesn't translate to "public declaration" [The "Not so Smart" Buhari: While campaigning, Buhari made a pledge to Publicly Declare his asset...
Rather than public declaration, President Buhari did what every public officials have been doing by ONLY declaring with the CCB. To add salt to injury, Buhari through his Aide Alhaji Shehu Garba said Buhari has "fulfilled his promise". In his own words...
He went further to say that Nigerians can "invoke the FOI" if they want details which is not different from the norm.
For the record, there is no law that set time limit for public declaration of asset, neither is there any law that illegalise public asset declaration.
Buhari Has No History of Public Asset Declaration, Yaradua Does Buhari has served in various capacity as State Governor, NNPC boss, Petroleum Minister, PTF(special) boss and Head of State yet never has he declared his asset publicly. Buhari has no history of open asset declaration unlike yaradua.
As Governor, Yaradua never promised to declare PUBLICLY his asset in 2000, yet he did. He repeated same as President in 2007.
Finally, Buhari and his followers should understand that the image of the President will be affected if he continue to insist that "he has fulfilled his promise" by not doing what he promised to do
May God bless Us All / Just for the sake of credit... 6 years of nondeclaration vs. 2 days of private declaration. And you are already crying blue murder. When you get home, look in the mirror. \ |

/ The thought of not hearing PEJ deliver public speeches is enough remedy to the minds of Nigerians.
GEJ is an accidental leader. Western influence dealt a number on the psyche of Nigerians. In the olden days, leaders are picked based on their capabilities. But Nigerians rely on some nonsense yardsticks to support any mor.on for office. GEJ supposedly has Ph.D but in an unrelated field to leadership. People fell in line to support the clueless man.
Look around the progressive nations of this world, name one country with a Ph.D holder as a President. Whoever built Dubai, Hong Kong, Malaysia, etc. had visions and followed such visions with zeal. That's the hallmark of leadership and not triple MBA or Ph.D. Leadership is either you have it or you don't.
Let Nigerians keep chasing shadows. Maybe by the turn of the century they will get it right.
