Nigerians believe that someone with 9 distinctions can do better than people with just 5 o'level credits; which is not true. That is why they believe that since polytechnic entry requirement is 4 o'level credits in some some poly it is 5 sha, they believe that polytechnic products cannot be as good as the university products. It's a laughing issue anyway. But we have it on ground even in the universities that people with just 5 o'level credits graduate with better grades than those who came in with 9 distinctions. The same thing applies to the polytechnics too where people with just 4 o'level credits come out with better grades than those with distinctions in o'levels. Really the input in this case does not determine the output, at all. I have said it before that if polytechnics are given the same recognition, funding and opportunity as the universities, the will chun out better products than what is obtainable at the moment. Most guys that would have made the polytechnics proud end up going to the universities after their ND for fear of being discriminated; and at the end of the day the universities concern begin to brag thinking that it is what they taught the student in the university that made him good, not knowing that it is the skills the student acquired while studying in the polytechnic that really made him good.

Even in nigeria too, muslims in the south east and south south are respected and well protected. They are allowed to build mosques in any part of the town they wish, and they are allowed to practice their religion without anyone molesting them. But in the north the reverse is the case. In some northern states they tell christians the maximum number of churches that will be allowed in the state. There are some areas in which it is prohibited and forbidden for a church to be built. In ZARIA for example, no single church exists in ZARIA CITY which is part of the town with christians living there o! The moslems in ZARIA consider that part of the town as sacred to muslims and islam. Tell me one town in the south that muslims don't have mosque in nigeria?? Secondly christians go to worship with fear. Sometimes they worship with armed soldiers and police guarding them. Infact it's really stressful to be a christian and reside in the north.

My point is that, humanly or physically Abraham had sons from Hagar, Sarah and Keturah; however the new testament in Galatians 3:7 tells us that; spiritually or divinely it is only those who have faith in Christ Jesus that are sons of Abraham. And also remember that God made this promise to Abraham in Genesis 17:5 "Your name shall be Abraham, for i have made you a father of my nations".
Also Genesis 17:6 says "I will make you exceeedingly fruitful; and i will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you".

And God through the apostle Paul elaborated the sonship in the new testament to mean a divine son and not a human or physical son.

Davidylan, also remember that God blessed Ishmael because he is Abraham's son. In Genesis 21:13 God said to Abraham "yet i will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman, because he is your seed". What does GOD imply here?? He implies that heirs and sons of Abraham will also come from ishmael too, which the new testament supports in Galatian 3:28 -29 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in christ Jesus". And v29 says "And if you are Christ's then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise".  in other words Arabs, Jews, Nigerians, Americans, Europeans etc. that have faith in Christ Jesus are sons of Abraham; while Jews who do not have faith in Christ Jesus, though they are children and descendants of Abraham humanly and physically but divinely they are not children of Abraham and cannot be heirs to Abraham's blessings. An Arab that has faith in Christ Jesus is a child of Abraham and heir to Abraham's blessings.

Those condemning Eazyman should come and live in kano, Jigawa or any part of the core north for just one week. I can bet with you that you will be sleeping with your 2 eyes open and your senses still functioning 100%; except if you 're living in a military barracks.

1.Gen 16:3 says "Sarai took her maid hagar and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife".
2. Gen 16:15 Hagar bore Abram a[b] son[/b]; and Abram named his son whom Hagar bore Ishmael.
3. Gen 17:23 "So Abram took Ishmael his[b] son [/b] , "
4. Gen 17:25 "And Ishmael his son was 13 years old when he was circumcised".
5. Gen 17:26 "That very sameday Abraham was circumcised, and his[b] son [/b] Ishmael".

Secondly Gal 4:22 said "For it is written that Abraham had 2 sons".

And lastly we all are sons of Abraham.
Gal 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus".

Gal 3:29 "And if you are Christ's then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise".

Gal 3:7 "Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham".

My brothers we all are sons of Abraham; that was why i said we should not give literal meaning to the word of God.

Now even Ishmaelites or call them Arabs if you like that are in Christ are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. If any of the sons of Isaac or Jacob(Israel) is not in christ then he is not a son of Abraham and cannot be heir to Abraham's blessings. Olabowale and other muslims on nairaland, Christ has said it before that false prophets shall arise. You and i dont need God to come down from heaven to tell us who these prophets were or are. By their fruits we shall know them. Some of the fruits inherent in those false prophets are; womanizing and violence, which your islamic prophet posses more than any other prophet that has ever lived. Your prophet is not in any way different from[b] Rev. King [/b] the false prophet that is standing trial for murder in nigeria. And i still say it to you Olabowale that your wife has never been a christian before; she was just a church goer and thats all. She was in limbo before she met you. My advice to you is for you to stop giving literal meanings to the word of God.

Why are you jumping some verses?? Why not put down the whole genesis here. You are only selecting verses that will suit your points. You are not saying the truth pally. Can u also list or spell out the blessings of isaac for us to see??

Eazyman, you are blessed too. dont mind those condemning you for what you just said. They dont know what christians who live in the northern part of nigeria are facing or experiencing. They are all enjoying themselves and living without fear whereever they may be residing so they will never know what people in places like maiduguri, kano, sokoto, kaduna, jigawa and other parts of the north are facing. Let those that are condemning you move down to the north and live then i will see if they would not say worse things than you. I advice anybody condeming Eazyman to relocate from where ever he/she is to kano or jigawa and stay. They will never agree to relocate to such places yet they are condeming Eazyman. Common NYSC that lasts for only 12 months some people have refused to serve because they were posted to northern states, yet they are opening their wide mouths to condemn Eazyman. I am talking from experience because i am living in the north at present and i know what christians are passing thru here. We are all living with fear here in the north if you care to know. Probably you would suggest we move away from the north to avoid being attacked abi?? If thats the case no mallam should be allowed to live in the south too.

Hey, nigerians eat both domestic and wild animals(if you like call them pets). goat, cow, ram, dog, chicken, snake, rabbit, cat, monkey, baboon, gorilla, lion, elephant etc, name them, the list is very wrong. Abraham had more tham 2 sons from sarah, hargar and keturah, although ishmael and isaac are the most talked about and significant. Sarah gave hargar to abraham as a wife to enable her bear children for her. Remember that was the custom then.
