Animal cruelty and a reflection of the primitive tendency of our ritualistic educated illiterates Blodas - who still want to be regarded as good Christians. |
It is quite easily explainable by the differences in compliance with religious values in the Muslim north and quite the opposite in the Christian south, where they have adopted promiscuity in the name of advancement. |
Maazi Kanu was right, 99.9% of them na Olosho; this kind thing is normal for that side; it shouldn't surprise anybody at all, some of them even take it to be like family business. |
doctokwus:My thoughts exactly. |
fashoo2010:Not quite true; if the movement was that strong he wouldn't have been completely wiped out in the presidential election, where he and none of his candidates could even secure their own wards; this time around Kwankwaso is benefiting from the outright rejection of Ganduje's corruption and by coincidence the next preferred choice, happening to be Kwankwaso's candidate. This kind of political fortune has been happening in Kano governorship elections for some time: where the obvious front runners, for one reason or another end up cancelling themselves and a dark horse from nowhere (e.g. Kwankwaso and Shekarau in each of their 1st victories) emerging to clinch victory. |
Paul Smith Brown my foot; more like hard working Chinedu Okeke Okoro trying to develop the entire backward Asian region. |
As usual, its the bloody blodas. |
The incident happened on a public road (not in anybody's residence) over something that needed to be removed (most probably an illegal road block/check point); those involved complied and removed it; nobody was arrested, harassed or molested; the matter ended peacefully - big deal! so what's the fuss? |
whytediamond:When 132 Fulanis were killed by local militia and El Rufai suppressed the figures as only 16 dead, in order not to inflame tension; didn't the locals along with CAN through their Christian dominated press initially denied it and subsequently even accused him of trying to incite ethnic violence? If the steps he took then, including condemnation of the killings were deemed wrong by Christians when Fulani Muslims were the victims; why then should he now be expected to distract himself from his well deserved victory simply because the victims are now Christians? |
What hypocrisy; they didn't show pictures of the bodies of the 132 Fulani earlier killed by the local militia in successive attacks but are now quick to show bodies of the few apparently killed by the Fulani in reprisal attacks - so that the latter would appear like the aggressor. |
I am so happy that two most hated targets of the wailers, PMB and El-Rufai have both retained their seats - 4 more years of severe pain and misery for them - how lovely; thank you Lord ![]() |
onecrate:Yes, indeed; very shocking. |
Foodforthought:Note, I did not insult you till you insulted my entire region and ppl; all I did was to initially raise the issue concerning double standards of public judgement for north and south under similar circumstances. Yes, it's a good idea to avoid me; because my signature already speaks for itself, I cannot stand bigots and will always return the favour tenfold. . |
onecrate:Don't mind the Idiot; he called us uncivilised immediately after admiring how we just concluded exercising our civic responsibility of casting our votes in the most civilised manner - peacefully; without, the shooting, stabbing, snatching of ballot boxes or burning down INEC offices and polling units, unlike how they were reportedly doing in their enclaves. |
Foodforthought:You are very stupid because: First of all, I did not criticised southerners but only the bigots among them. Secondly, you did not address the I issue of double standards I raised concerning the insults being meted out by these bigots against the religion, it major tribes and religion. Thirdly, not surprisingly your response exactly confirmed the bigotry and hypocrisy I was talking about because rather than condemn the reckless action of those boys on the keke; you chose to indirectly justify it by making derogatory references to the environmental differences between them and their northern counterparts who you referred to as Almajiris - as if to say that judgement for such recklessly should be reserved only for northerners at the exclusion of southerners due the said differences and because of who they are - what complete imbecilic logic! Yes, I am obliged to quite often use the word bigot due to the sad increasing frequency that many of the bigots of Nairaland seem to find me - not to mention the latest among them. |
I disagree with the OP; voter turn out in Kano is also not all that high but may still be higher than the national average. Nigerians seemed to have given the just concluded presidential election much more importance - the fear of possible Atiku presidency and bitter campaign by his supporters, especially from the SE; seemed to have galvanised most of PMB supporters to come out and vote to guarantee his victory. On the other hand, I would not be surprised if the backlash of the Dollar bribery tapes cost Ganduje and APC the governorship seat - which will be an affirmation of the sophistication of Kano and by extension northern voters in general. |
Cletus77:It is not about Red Cap but voter sophistication; most are APC but I would not be surprised if Ganduje loses because he has lost credibility before the electorate, especially after the embarrassing bribery tapes - I am also among the Kano APC supporters who voted against Ganduje; though it is too early to celebrate now till the official results come out. |
Foodforthought:What an ignorant bigot - do you have a brain at all, do you even know what an Almajiri means?
|
coolzeal:Shey you know that the technocrats you were mentioning, Buhari's economic team (until the recent departure of Kemi) was in fact entirely composed of southerners. Now let's see how that sits with your bigoted theory. |
If this had happened anywhere in the north and not in the south as seen - oh my God! the usual bigots would have descended on the thread with all kinds of insults against the region, the major tribe and religion. |
Lucky they didn't Cannibalise him. |
Born2Breed:How did the Fulani kill in Kajuru to warrant their arrest? |
citizenY:God will continue to punish the hypocrites. |
Odingo1:The morons and imbeciles are those who keep blaming others for their own mistakes - very silly set of ppl. |
Some cultures espouse respect while others espouse disrespect; you will notice those have it and those who don't by their comments. |
God punish any Igbo man who should ever again open his mouth and insult Lord Lugard; apparently every regional leader had wanted to reverse the amalgamation or have a secession clause inserted in the constitution for any dissatisfied region to have the right to later break away and go its own way should it choose to do so - all but one leader fought against it and successfully got the backing of the British to squash it; that person was not other than Nnamdi Azikiwe. |
lexy2014:Case closed, I don't have time for unintelligent folks with no mental dexterity.
|
Hmmn Nigerian Christians - book marked for future reference. |
BaaleOko:No, the backlash wouldn't have and evidently isn't the same; just look at the comments in this and similar threads and note that the condemnation was mainly directed at where the young man came from and his allegiance with Buhari; not necessarily the act itself; even you yourself were guilty of same bigotry by aligning Buhari supporters with the act and calling them stupid. Even when challenged with the Enugu student's example you tried to justify your position by dismissing it as not comparable - its all out there for all to see. I am glad you now agree that the Enugu students' act was essentially the same although that cannot exonerate your initial blind support for them and the defence offered - unfortunately you are also equally part of the Nigerian youth problem you mentioned. |
ojun50:Then how do you prove your case or are we to assume your allegations (on face value) as gospel truth, simply because you made them? |
