pope191:Thank God you said it's a myth E mean say people for obodo oyinbo go dey change compressor every week during winter |
I miss those fresh fishes I usually buy in Yauri I miss Kebbi state |
Eruditor:You sound so sure. So what exactly do you think is responsible for these deaths?. I'm not saying you should be sure. But what do you think may most likely be the cause? |
Eruditor:Again, Nobody said Switch was wrong. But downplaying Covid-19 as the most possible cause was what sparked this arguement. And are you really sure Gwarzo played to the gallery on this one? |
Expert17:I did not see you anywhere near that discourse that day If you cannot dig where someone said otherwise, kindly rest abeg. |
Eruditor: Nowhere did anyone say all deaths were Covid-19 deaths What fuelled this argument was when Mr Switch started talking about how it's politics and how Lassa fever had killed more people than Covid-19 as at March 2020 Everybody knows that all deaths are not related to Covid-19, but whatever will take the life of 12 prominent Kano indigenes in 10 hours, killed and Emir and a professor in the past few days will not be malaria or typhoid. |
Ishilove:I read his comment like four times I couldn't figure out if he was typing nonsense, or if my eyes were deceiving me And then I saw your comment. That's why I laughed |

thorrvik55:....and most times, the defenders still won't/can't do anything about it ![]() It baffles me sometimes |
Emaprince:I know someone who got tested and he was negative. WhatsApp has done more damage this period than any good. At some point, I had to mute my mother's notification because na so so forwarded messages like these I go dey see |
I think I'll have to carefully calculate when to impregnate my wife, so our daughter will be born in May ![]() I've been seeing some notable birthdays today |
splashbaby: ![]() Sincerely, I don't subscribe to it anymore. I've always been a fan of giveaways. But with what I've seen this period, both offline and online, I don't think it's worth the stress I know a man where I used to live before. He takes note of families that are families that are financially handicapped, and then he goes to give them individually. That way, he won't have to encounter a wicked crowd Unless you plan to organize it somehow, or plan for security, it's most likely going to end up hurting your emotions |
![]() |
So, Access bank woke up one morning, picked a paper that was used to wrap akara on the floor, found your number, and started sending you messages abi? You probably must have subscribed to something and that's why they are disturbing you ![]() Call them to complain about the messages and that you want to opt out. That's the first step. If they don't, then you have a chance to waste your money in court, all in the name of sueing |
pocohantas:The moment he said public givings are clout chasing, I didn't bother to read his other comments We now have online polygraphs that can now read people's intentions just by watching a video or seeing pictures? ![]() Shioor |
pocohantas:Either ways, there would still be poor people ![]() Being a Nigerian comes with very difficult options to choose or stick to. You want to help the poor? Dem go Rob you You want to help your family? Dem go wan bring you down
|
xrayj:You never can tell. You don't know anyone's motives, and it will be unfair to call it clout chasing because it was done in public We should encourage good actions. That's all we can see. Na only God dey see the motive ![]() |
pocohantas:Let me show you an annoying part from this your thread The woman said she had about 150 cartons of noodles to share Do you know that someone in that crowd may take up to 10 cartons for only him and his family oh? They say the rich are greedy, but the poor are no different. Apart from giveaways, Most poor Nigerians always exhibit that trait. And as much as I'll blame it on poverty, I'll still see them as wicked A truck of rice falls on the road. You see them rushing someone's sweat. Even the driver of the truck has to run away or else they'll attack him It's just an attitude of being poor. I just don't know why |
pocohantas: ![]() I don't think she ever did that again ![]() Even if helping families are not different, one should endeavour to organize it and provide some form of security. There is no excuse for what they did to that woman. That's just a typical Nigerian poor community attitude |
xrayj:If you give money to a beggar on the street, would you say you're showing off? After all, there's someone in your extended family that you can recharge their phone with #100 It is good to give, and help people. My only issue is with the way Nigerians accept and handle it. And that's why I don't buy the idea anymore Poor people, most times can be ungrateful. They show this ungratefulness either by trying to cheat you or the process, steal from you, or attack you. |
pocohantas:When I was young, my mum did a giveaway. I still remember that day. She drove to a particular place in Lagos and brought out clothes and other items to give. She had money too The way they rushed her made her abandon the items, jumped into her car and fled. She was more scared of being attacked, than the people she came for I know giveaways are for the needy, but over here, you'll have to organize the process, organize them,... Or you would not like the outcome Most times, it ends badly |
pocohantas:I'm not saying she deserywhat she got. She did a good thing. But most times(emphasis on most times), it ends badly. What you posted was a link. It's a channel. The link will not gather everybody on one page and share anything. You are attended to, individually. You will not even know who got what. That's another form of security. If you don't get, you close the page. No phones to steal, no bags to snatch, etc Submitting your data for giveaways is a form of security from the giver But carrying yourself to enter a crowd to share anything will most times, end badly I don't blame her for what happened. Neither did I evaluate her actions to see if it's clout chasing or not. I'm just saying giveaways like hers are most likely to go wrong |
pocohantas: Sharing directly to the masses, without any form of security, will actually lead to something like this. The other day on Nl, we saw a thread of how people attacked a bus carrying bread. That was not even a giveaway oh. Someone's sweat, and people, both old and young, male and female participated in the theft Nigerians can be wicked, especially the very poor ones. And there are things you just can't change about them |
In summary, what period are we in now? The Great tribulation? |
pocohantas:See ehn, if the items are not shared through an organised channel, one may not be happy with the outcome in the end. Gates donated vaccines to NG. His vaccines are free. So if you'd want to make moneu from it, you'll have to sell it cheaper than free. . If Jack Ma had shared his free facemask in Surulere stadium by himself, he'll most likely get robbed, and he'll regret considering this country. I'm not saying all family members are grateful or kind. But unless public giveaways are planned with some sort of extra security, it, most times doesn't end well Even on nairaland, you share 50k. People drop Account numbers. Some come back with alternates. Even when you say it's for some particular people, some still come back again with another identity. Let's not talk about the bashings or ungratefulness that may follow too Most times, public giveaways are not worth the stress. Giving to the motherless babies home, remand homes, and other little communities that are organised is obviously much better. But say you wan share am by yourself without police,......hmmmmm. That's not me, exonerating wicked people from families sha |
stephenwa:What did you just say you want to mix? ![]() See my hand. ![]() E no dey oh
|
I do not believe and subscribe to giveaways anymore If they recipients won't try to scam you, they'll be very ungrateful in the end Look for someone in your family tree. If everyone in your family don belle full, walk downstairs to your gateman and drivers and bless their lives |
