You are right, this is what the business will look like till situation of things comes back to normal.
I hope Corona virus will not linger for a long period of time. Ehailing business is going to be like survival of the fittest especially among those who are on rental and HP. Driver car owners will manage to weather the storm. It would be like the winter period we experienced in January. I have prepared myself for the happenings and eventualities. Thank God for Lockdown, I had enough time to skill up and acquire knowledge online. it woke the latent potential in me. My eyes has been opened to multi-million Naira business opportunities online with almost zero capital. People are fully embracing the digital world because of Corona virus and social distancing. I think is about damn time i test the waters.
Few lessons I've learnt in this pandemic

-Always have multiple streams of income
-The safest and most secured Business one can have is the one he has ONLINE
-As much as you can, start a business that you can earn in a foreign currency ($)

I think ehailing platforms will come with the restriction of passengers to may be 1 or 2 but drivers will flout the orders themselves just to make money
Will you reject a trip like this, because they are four?

Are you guys still retaining a maximum of 4 persons these trying times?

I forsee a week of riders joining their colleagues in the same car to the Island (No more 4-4 for danfo again, so the fare might be higher)

I feel rental should remain same!!

I believe those wanting to invest right now or take up HP should rather hold on and see how things pan out.
Hmmm
But patronage will be less na.

No more clubs, beaches, and funspots (Friday/Saturday/Sunday earnings might be poor)
No more religious gatherings(Sunday earnings might be poor)

Anyways, thanks smiley

IMHO

Now is the time to build relationships with your riders.
If you live in Ogba for example grin, when you switch on your app in the morning and get a ride, try and convince your rider that you'll pick them up in the evening (this is to ensure that you get a destination trip before the curfew starts)

Target long distance trips. Although you may choose short trips, but try and cherry pick longer ones

Don't accept trips to anywhere. Rains are coming, so don't damage somebody's father's car because you wan make money

Once more, establish relationships

When I was in JSS3, we finished our exams and had this free period to roam about the school and environs

It was a boarding school, so I was supposed to escort a friend to a bank. After our lunch, we hurried out of school. I didn't have the chance to return my spoon to the hostel, so I put it in my pocket

Got to the bank and while we were walking in, I just heard a clinging sound.....My spoon don fall sad

The people around turned and looked at me, but I just walked away as if it wasn't mine.

It's a moment I still think about and smile grin

Senegal is using the rapid testing kit and a blood work test adapted from another infectious disease and for reasons best known to them, the MoH in Nigeria prefers the slower test which is slower and more expensive. Right now we need scale over minute variance avoidance.

Try to be less condescending in stating ur opinions.

You shouldn't stereotype everyone that came out in ogba as ignorant or without senses.
Anybody who stood in that crowd, without Social distancing himself, and wearing a nose mask is obviously Ignorant

It has nothing to do with education.

I thought you rather the lockdown continue, I think you should stick with that and tell us how we can make it work. While you are practicing what you are preaching of course undecided
You are no longer making sense

Choosing a lockdown extension or not is an opinion. I don't have the power to enforce any, and neither do you. You should learn when to separate your emotions from an argument.

That said, I won't quote you anymore on this again.

Be well bro smiley

Bigleaf1006:
The goverment should make strict laws on self protection this period and enforce accordingly, also continue the massive sensitisation of people on the need to protect themselves this period.

Germany as just imposed a fine on people not wearing face masks in certain places and times,if Nigerians know that they can be arrested and penalised for not protecting themselves or not keeping safe physical social distancing,no one will leave their houses without masks or gloves by Monday.
The punishment of possible death is probably greater than any fine.

If they like, they should open their nose and mouths and come out on Monday.

When the person catches it, start having the symptoms and NCDC number is switched off, he/she will have sense when/if he recovers

Make him lock himself for inside house if such happens in his neighborhood.
Very sensible Nigerians in that neighborhood came out to see the fire, saw that it wasn't going to affect their properties, and went back in

Very few sensible Nigerians. grin

Check that picture well. You won't see them there

Errmm let's take a look at it this way, for example, u heard a loud bang in your hood, and the next thing u started hearing fire!!!! One thing I'm sure of is that you want surely want to come out and look at where the fire is coming from just to make sure your house is safe. Same thing goes to every other person in your hood, before you know it, millions of people don dey your street grin Bros na Naija way be this

Fire is like snakes on front page, every one will want to go see it wink

But why not protect yourself while coming to see? grin
