Crime › Re: Should Ibrahim Babangida Be Tried For Killing Vatsa His Childhood Friend ? by Jackal(m): 9:53am On Aug 23, 2006
@ Bagoma.

Thanx for the question.
The premium value of a single human life is priceless but are we very sure IBB killed Dele Giwa?
Investigations are inconclusive and i dunno why everyone feels IBB is the main culprit. What if he wasn't?
I want u to know these politicians are all the same except one thing-IBB's intelligence.
IBB is the smartest of all the Presidents we have had and i believe he is the only freak that can change Nigeria positively.

OBJ's hands were not clean too before he came to power.
Was OBJ not responsible for killing Fela Ransome Kuti's mum? Why are we not talking about that?
What about the abuse of human rights on his farm at Ota?
Who ordered the execution of a whole village(Odi) in 1999? OBJ commited genocide when he ordered soldiers to bring Odi down where thousands of lives and properties were lost.
I can go on and on but lets leave OBJ's evil deeds for now cos his time is already up.
Posterity will judge OBJ in the next few years and we will still come back here and discuss it. grin

@ Odeku
I am Yoruba to the very core but i aint a tribalist zealot.
The fact that i am Yoruba does not mean i cannot support IBB or Ojukwu. or Pat Utomi.
Looking at all the Presidential candidates, IBB is the only dude capable of turning things around.
IBB has the overall qualities of a leader and he is strong and firm enough to rule a complex country like Nigeria.
His past government failed because it was a military government which the international community were not even interested in.
Should he get to power now, he will make Nigeria a better place to live in and restructure all the dirts and scums OBJ and his goons had left behind.
I will use this medium to advise u to join the winning camp now before its too late. grin grin grin

@oshkosh,
I stay in the UK and i see this politicians.
People are still stealing but in a very coded dimensions.
Do u know looters now use front-men to launder stolen funds?
These front-men come into the UK with money, buy expensive stones like diamonds and platinum and take it back to Nigeria.
In this new way, no trace or evidence can link the looters because there's no bank transaction whatsoever.
People are still looting EFCC or no EFCC so i don't really see the impact.

@ Odeku,
OBJ is the man responsible for this new twist and u should have known that by now.
The people around OBJ are doing everything humanly possible to clog the wheels of IBB but it won't work.
A coup plotter is punishable by death and every military officer knows this so why over-flog this issue?

Maybe the Kutis should take OBJ to court as well for raiding Kalakutta and killing Fela's mum as a result.
I can't believe Nairalanders are tagging along with whatever bullsh*t the present administration feeds them with.
IBB brought OBJ from his misery into power and he will knock him out of it in style.

Vatsa, Dele Giwa and Ejigbo air-crash will definitely kick dusts but it is not enough to bring IBB down.
We are dealing with a genius that has got the most diabolical and devious mind the world is yet to see.
IBB wants to contest because he knows he will WIN. If there's any 1% doubt he might fail then he won't even declare any ambition.
He is an evil genius-He sees things before it comes.

@ Odeku,
I disagree with u on the foreign investor factor.
One edge OBJ has is the fact that he is a democratic President which pleases the international community as a whole.
IBB never had the same opportunity cos he was a Military President/Dictator so foreign investors were not willing to come to Nigeria cos the country wasn't stable politically.

There are fraudsters everywhere.
I dunno why y'all guys think Nigeria is the number one country where u have scammers.
There are scammers in Russia, Eastern European blocs and South East Asia as well so dont black-list Nigerians as fraudsters.
Romanians, Algerians Bulgarians and Russians run the channels here in UK and it has not stopped foreign investors in Nigeria.
Shell, Chevron and Halliburton just to mention a few are in Nigeria so it's not about fraud. Its about the economic + political factor.

Ur expressions are just a function of ur intelligence.
I cannot even make out half of the things u just wrote because u spew bollocks.
Technically, u sound like a school drop-out who has no level of reasoning or just a wimp that opens a diseased mouth.
IBB did this and IBB did that but is IBB responsible for ur lack of intelligence as well? grin
Politics › Re: What Do You Think Of Malam Nuhu Ribadu? by Jackal(m): 9:15pm On Aug 22, 2006
Only imbeciles and human-mutts reason the way u think and i am not surprised.
The only major diagnosis i see in u is ur lack of exposure and low level of intelligence quotient. grin
Ribadu is a hydra-headed monster distracting the populace from seeing the ineffectiveness of OBJ's government.
I dont expect a nit-wit like u to understand these things cos ur level of reasoning is extremely shallow.
Maybe i should just sit back and watch the way u spew balderdash and nod in disbelief.
If u marry a fool like u the u will produce idiots.
My advice: get a shrink and do a psycho-evaluation test. tongue

@ justkunmi,
Relax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It only takes few hours to get a player's signatures on the dotted lines.
Wayne Rooney was signed on the 31st of August in 2004 so we still have time.
For the right price, Bayern will release Owen Hargreaves and some couple of millions will tempt Villareal to release Senna.
All these players are still available as long as they really wanna play for Man Utd. Capice?

@ oshkosh,
This is what i keep hearing from u and it makes me sad.
If EFCC was designed to bring about 1% change then the purpose of setting it up has already been defeated.
U have just confirmed that the very roots of EFCC reeks of failure, malice and double-standard.
I think u r myopic to think anyone that hates Ribadu is a fraudster.
This kind of statement only shows how shallow ur mentality is when u argue on a public forum.
Ribadu goes after fraudsters and raid internet cafes but of what benefit is all these raids to the average Nigerian that lacks food, clothing and shelter?
Why chase shadows when the major problems in Nigeria has not been addressed?
Mass unemployment, inflation and development is what OBJ and Ribadu should channel their resources on.
What do u really expect from a normal average Nigerian that has got no job to pay his bills and stuffs?
These peops see CRIME as the only way out of hell and until FG of Nigeria addresses the roots of crimes they will be chasing shadows till thy kingdom come.
OBJ/RIBADU/EFCC IS JUST AN ENDLESS STREAM OF PRETENTIOUS BULLSH*T and may they all bleeping rot and burn in HELL.

@ odeku,
I don't stay in Nigeria and i still hate EFCC so dont generalise that the only people in love with Ribadu are the people overseas.
Who the hell is Ribadu? Ribadu ma ass n foot.
Ribadu reminds me of a robocop infected with VIRUS.
When we talk of Nigerians who are serving whole-heartedly then u should look in the direction of Dora Akinluyi-NAFDAC Director General.
The only people Ribadu's ingenuity has been able to arrest are the ones that never supported OBJ's 3rd term bid.
Can't ur nose smell a rat here? grin

@ Mariory,
Read between the lines and tell us Ribadu's achievements.
No one is saying criminals should be allowed to roam freely but Nigeria should set his priorities right.
Nigeria should rather battle/tackle the major causes of acute poverty instead of acting like FBI/Scotland Yard.
FBI/CIA thrives in the USA because there are jobs, food, shelter and clothing so they do not really expect anyone to cross the line and commit crime.
Crime will continue to thrive in a country like Nigeria where the government has neglected his primary responsibilities to provide social security for its citizens.
How many University graduates secure decent jobs after completing their B.Sc/M.Sc degrees in Nigeria?

Don't get it twisted.
IBB is a confirmed sacred cow and he is untouchable.
IBB is Nigeria and Nigeria is IBB.
There's no coup d'etat in Nigeria that IBB does not know a thang or 2 about which means he has a hand in all the governments that have ruled Nigeria.
OBJ came to power as a result of IBB's influence and power-play.
He is the biggest heavy-weight in Nigeria at the moment and i strongly believe only God can judge him.

@ debosky,
Stop beefing the wonder-kid.
The FA had no rights to have banned Rooney with that innocuous challenge.
Why didn't FA ban Essien for pulling someone's hair against Man City or when he slapped a player against Liverpool during the community shield.
The FA is just buncha fuckeries and it sucks to think someone wld get banned for 3 matches for that kinda challenge.
How does the Amsterdam tournament affect the premiership and even if it does, why didnt FA ban Mellor and Gerrard 3 seasons ago when they got red cards?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 11:32pm On Aug 21, 2006
He has the right to do whateva he wants with his image.
Afterall, the FA(fake-asses) let Rooney down by slamming him with a 3-match ban after promising Ferguson that Rooney won't be touched.
Alan Shearer has done it before so why can't Rooney do it?
The FA has a law for other clubs and a different one for Man Utd and its highly unfair.
Rooney should even go further and withdraw from all international matches this year.
He cannot be playing for an organisation that keeps letting him down and denting his image.

Lets move on.

Nobel Prize my ass!!!!!!!! He should face firing squad instead.
Mike Adenuga has moved his op-centre to Ghana while he is now in the UK.
This is how unreasonable commissions like EFCC drive major investors out of the land due to sheer politicking.

What gives u the impression that Ribadu does not take bribes?
Wld he come out publicly to say i have taken bribe from people?
I wonder why u think this way. No Nigerian public officer is straight.
The sooner u realise that the better for everyone.

What has Ribadu done that deserves mentioning?
Any dumb-ass given the powers to arrest without questions will do better than Ribadu.
Are u telling me u wldn't have arrested more looters than Ribadu if u happen to be in his shoes?
There are so many looters to pick on so the job is freaking easy for Ribadu but sycophants like u will always make noise over little achievements.
Come to London and take a stroll to Bishops Avenue and see the opulent life of Nigerian looters.

Saha is strong and very mobile but he lacks the most important character of a striker-goal sense.
He scuffed an absolute sitter yesterday and i was disappointed in him.
Overall, United had a brilliant performance especially the combo of Rooney n Ronaldo.
The enfantz terrible surprised all critics in the EPL.
United still needs a striker and a strong midfielder to challenge the moneybags(Chelski).

debosky=Nairaland's biggest ignoramus.

Walcott's inclusion denied a place for tested strikers like Darren Bent/Jermain Defoe.
In the absence of injured Owen and un-fit Rooney, Defoe /Bent wld have been played instead of Crouch and make-shift strikers like Lennon and Joe Cole.
Check this, Eriksson went to Germany with 4 strikers(he should have taken 5) and only Crouch was used effectively.
Owen was not fit.
Rooney wasn't fit cos he just came out of serious injury that ruled him out for weeks.
Walcott was fit but was not used at all.

If Darren Bent/Defoe had been taken, Eriksson wld have been more compelled to use em instead of a young Walcott.
Read between the lines and tell me if Walcott's inclusion aint the cause of England's misery.
I'm still fazed with the fact that u have eyes but u cannot see.
Is it out of ur sheer patriotism to ur club or ur imbecility?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 6:26pm On Aug 20, 2006
Rooney is the bomb.
He is one of the best players to have played in the EPL in recent times.
Rooney has character, strength, good football brains, amazing vision and awareness.

Saha is not Adebayor's twin at all.
Adebayor is the wackest player in Arsenal because he squanders chances every matchday.
Arsenal will struggle this season because i feel they need to strengthen up the team with 2 or 3 good players before August 31.
Wenger should get Obafemi Martins, Bouba Diop and a defender.

U aint seen nuthing yet.
I just hope the gaffer can sort out the midfield problems when Senna or Hargreaves arrives to give the strikers more precise passes.
Its good to see Rooney and Ronaldo(Premiership's enfantz terrible) combining together to bludgeon Fulham FC.
Ronaldo is getting better everyday plus his goal is top notch.
I can't wait for United to meet the likes of Gooners, Scousers and Chelski.

@ justkunmi,
Dont be deceived by Fergie's comment that says there are not too many 25+ goals strikers in Europe.
Why sell Ruud when he cannot get his replacement in the 1st place?
In fact, there are loads of 25+ goals strikers lying around in Europe.
Klass Jan Huntelaar, Luca Toni, Roy Makaay, Fernando Torres, David Villa, Diego Milito, David Suazo, Lucarelli and Fred.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Walcott Relegated! by Jackal(m): 9:27pm On Aug 19, 2006
Walcott's inclusion in the England's squad was the cause of England's elimination.
Jermain Defoe or Darren Bent wld have been more effective especially after Owen's injury and Rooney's misdemeanours.
Even Pele was shocked with Eriksson's decision to include Walcott in the squad but we know better now.
Thanks to David Dein for using his influence to get Walcott in the squad .

I dont honestly think Walcott will make U-17 team in Nigeria cos 'em Nigerian kids are twice as skilful as Theo.
My visit to Nigeria last december took me to a football ground around Glover Estate in Lagos and i saw some amazing talents who are better than Walcott, Mikel Obi and Rooney waxed together.
These boys are too good to be true with deft touches, ball control and football brains.
Unless Walcott knows someone at the NFA or the Presidency, i dont really see him making any age-grade team in Nigeria, not even U-10. grin

Devil is the being using Ribadu right now cos God does not use people negatively.

I still wonder why people like Bode George, Chris Uba and Lamidi Adedibu are still walking free on the streets of Nigeria and others guilty of the same crime are being caged.
If u were given the task of arresting the corrupt govt. officials in Nigeria i am sure u wont think twice before u compile a 1000-man list of corrupt politicians.
We all know them but the question is why are they not rotting away in the jail cells?
What makes Fayose guilty and Adedibu a saint?
Is it not the same Adedibu who removed a governor because he was being deprived of the state's security vote?

EFCC should be fair and bring all suspected looters to book but have they been doing that?

Sports › Re: English Money For English Players by Jackal(m): 2:02pm On Aug 19, 2006
U all seem to forget these players play in an expensive league where gate-takings, sponsorships and TV rights are tremendously high.
For instance, Arsenal will charge 94 pounds at the new emirate stadium. Thats almost $200 to watch a single league match!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even Drama presentations and the most choreographed opera's at theatres can NEVER cost that match.

All these wages are being forked out from the pockets of the die-hard fans.
Fans buy merchandises, they buy season tickets and pay for tv subscriptions against all odds to watch the leagues at home.
I am going to pay 8 pounds at home on the Prem Plus channel -PPV(Pay Per View) to watch Bolton play Tottenham by 5pm today and anutha 8 pounds to watch Man Utd bludgeon Fulham FC tomorrow.

There's so much money to be made in the system as so much cash flows in the Premiership.
So what do we expect the players wages to shape like? 100 pounds per hour? No chance.
I suggest FIFA should cap the wages of players because some of these players will soon be netting $1m a week at this rate.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Serie A, Premiership, La Liga Or Bundesliga? by Jackal(m): 11:08pm On Aug 18, 2006
@ Mochafella,
I disagree with u.
The EPL will generate revenues close to 2 billion pounds this season as projected by finanacial analysts especially with Arsenal's new stadium and OT's extensions.
The La liga is second to the EPL and EPL is 40% better in finances and revenues generated.
Overall package of any football league in the world belongs to the Premiership.
The premiership's revenue can buy most clubs in Spain and Italy with few thousands of pounds to grow a decent pitch. grin
End of discussion.

@ sage,
U r sick for thinking i aint objective.
To even think u mis-informed the public in ur last comment has failed u as a soccer buff.
United were champions in 1999 and Liverpool won in 2005.
U must understand the EPL was formed due to the marked low point of the 80s in English football.
Stadiums were crumbling, supporters were faced with poor facilities, hooliganism was on the rise and English clubs were banned from European competitons because of the events at Heysel in the mid-80s.
As a result of this, many british players moved abroad.

However, by the turn of the 90's, luck smiled on England when they reached the S/finals of the world cup in Italy and UEFA lifted the ban on English clubs and most stadia in England were upgraded expensively to the best standards.
Television money rose to 44 million pounds in 1988 from the initial 6 million pound deal in 4 years.
Stadiums improved and match attendances and revenue rose and the country's elite clubs decided to form their own league to capitalise on the sudden influx of money being pumped into sports.

In 1991, a proposal to form a new league that wld bring massive funds into the game was submitted and that was how the Premiership was formed.
It was basically designed to be independent from the football association and the football league in terms of broadcasting and sponsorship deals.
In this way, the league attracted talents all over the world and has generated massive sponsorship deals, stupendous attendances and enormous tv rights to be the best sporting league in Europe in terms of stabilty, finances and transparency.

@ Justkunmi,
Don't worry mate.
The title hopes are getting bleak by the day.
United might even start the season the way we ended it last May.
None of the new buys of 2006 is likely to feature in our first few games.
Carrick is out, Vidic is injured, Kusczack will understudy Van Der Sar and Evra will work hard to dislodge Gabby Heinze.

I'm just sick and tired with the way United has handled the transfer market.
Riquelme + Senna couldn't have been more than 10 million quid.
Why pay 14 million for a turkey like Carrick.
Just heard Liverpool has signed Dirk Kuyt for 10 million which is one of the most brilliant buys of the season.
Liverpool attack now has prodigal son(Bellamy) and Kuyt which i believe could be more dangerous than Sheva + Drogba attack.

United needs to land a striker that will deliver 20 goals a season.
Rossi is still a young lad. Solskjaer's strength might fail him and Louis Saha's form is suspect.
Rooney n Ronaldo cannot do it alone judging by the way match officials are picking on 'em.
Ruud has taken his 25+ goals a season to Real Madrid so who fills his position.
Huntelaar, Tevez, Luca Toni or Morten Gamst Pedersen(Blackburn) might just do.
