I will like to invest a sum of money for my brother, he's into barbing and he's very good. So he approached me about a vacant space which we can acquire and equipped to a good taste.

I will like to seek for your advice if the barbing salon is set up in my name, how do I deal with the renumeration, should I place him on monthly salary or I give him percentage of what is made at the end of the month after removing expenditure.

Note: He is very loyal and hardworking

if you want to help your brother help him. whats the need of learning a trade /handwork and after learning, no one to assist you. not even a family member. now that you have the resources and strength to do it, you are asking the entire world if you should place him on 50;50. see my best advice for you, if you yourself have another source of income and working too, please do well to help your brother whom you just claimed is loyal and hardworking. Mind you business and family don't mix together and this can result to his dissloyalty to you in the future if your expectations are not met. if the money is what you can afford, support him and I bet you he will take you as his earthly god because you just placed food and source of income on his table. everything is not about profit most especiallly if family is involved. so ask him how much he have, support him with what you can and encourage him to grow the business and see as he is going and florishing also. you can as welll bring in more customers to him. A time will come when you will need his help and if he turns the table to monetary value that time how will you feel as a brother?

There was a time I dated a baker for two weeks. I knew the relationship ll die prematurely from day 1 cos the first outing he took me to was a sub per restaurant which has dirty environment. this is what you will do, get an elderly person from your side. your father to be precise. narrate the whole issue to him as she explained to you. go and report to the police. How old is the girl? which state exactly in Nigeria? don't take this case into your hand alone. it can be used against you. go to their church report the matter to the pastor. tell the man involved you will report to the elders in the church. and if he is a muslim ,tell him you will report to the Imam at the Mosque where he worship. and if he is a traditional whorshipper, tell him you will petition him at the most scariest shirine in that state or in his village. Enough of all these nonsense, father sleeping with daughter, mother knows but won;t talk. very common in the Western Part. I won;t mention any tribe here, but they know themselves.

I don't know about Nigerian hospitals, but some SA hospitals don't allow children coming to visit their sick relatives because it's way too risky, especially in adult wards.

It's like you Nigerian men don't care about your children, you use your children to take out your frustrations on your women and in the end, it's always the children who suffer more consequences.

I'm sorry to say this, but you're already showing traits of a bad father if you think it's okay to risk your children's health in the name of training them.

What is really happening in your current workplace now concerning the layoff of the workers due to the high cost of running their businesses?

My company just sacked close to 20 of their staffs and trying to train the remaining workers on how to multitask in various positions.

I just pity those that are sacked especially married men.

How do they cope?

Is there any hope for them to get another job?

With what is going on in this company, is there any company ready to take more staff?

i feel for them sha. but sack is not the end of the world but rather should be a stepping stone for those that are brave. Our workforce here is over 800, company had to stop running on weekend to avoid high cost of running on gas and diesel, and no more overtime again. production has to be increased with the available man power.
