server34:Sincerely, I wanted to ask same question when I read his response to my question yesterday. I expected to see somebody that graduated 2002 or earlier. Too unreal to believe but I avoided raising it. You and Jarus sef. . . una own too much. BBC don hear say you graduate with first class from Ife abi?If advising the junior ones is what you call self-trumpet blowing, then I want to blow it louder. |

i called you over the weekend but u didnt pick ur phone, maybe you were exorcisingLOL ![]() I'm not an exorcist o. I can't do it. I have never carried out actual exorcism. Abuzola saaid he can do it. I didn't pick your call? What time? Maybe I was busy in office, because I worked through the weekend. sexibabes:First and foremost, I'm not an exorcist. I have never done it, and I don't think I can do it. But I have witnessed it in real life in addition to reading extensively on the subject. I know the process theoretically, but it goes beyond theory. The nearest I had done was assisting in keeping the environment of a possessed exorcism-compliant by spearheading the playing of exorcist verses on tape, removing pictures, reciting sunnatic(prophetic) fortifications in the possessed person's environment etc. This was preparatory to and after actual exorcism. And it set the ground. For example, after intensively playing those exorcist qur'anic chapters/verses on tape, which I oversaw, the person, who was claiming to be seeing 'God'(in actual fact, she was seeing Jinn, deceiving her as God, but all my oral efforts to convince her failed until exorcism was done) stopped seeing her 'God' and she said the next morning 'God did not come to visit me yesternight', and her usual early morning jinn-induced strange behaviours did not occur taht morning and anytime the Qur'anic cassette was played overnight. At this juncture I need to distinguish between PARTIAL and TOTAL POSSESSION. For total possession, the Jinn lives inside the possessed. For partial possession, the Jinn visits the possessed frequently, communicating with him and misleading him. From my observation and interactions with the possessed person I know, she was initially totally possessed[Reason: She told me that the thing(calling itself 'God' to her, and pitiably, she believed) will hold her by the intestine and, painfully, command her to do some things-like preaching that he 'God' has cancelled 5 daily prayers etc] but later the Jinn seemed to leave her body and only come to visit her in her sleep(partial possession). I got to know at this period, and when we invited Alhaji Akindele, he confirmed it's partial possession, that the Jinn only come to visit her, not living in her. Since it was partial possession, it did not involve the Jinn speaking, Alhaji just assisted with all measures to keep the Jinn totally away(Exorcist verses recorded in cassette, honey and date fruits and other prophetic prescriptions). This was about 4 years ago and glory be to Allah, the Jinns have stopped visiting her. can a christian go through an exorcism with this alfa ?One condition for the potency of exorcism is the mindset that ALLAH ALONE IS THE ONE THAT CAN HEAL. Even the exorcist should not rely on himself, but rather Allah. He needs to put his trust in Allah and see the exercise as assisting a fellow human being from oppression by another being. This mindset is very important in addition to other attributes of the exorcist being pious, as much as possible free from sins, strict adherence to prophet's sunnah etc. As regards the possessed, I have read that he/she too must also be made to trust Allah as the only one that can help out of with his affliction, and not even the exorcist. That is if he is still sane, because some possession may have degenerated to the possessed already losing his sense. All the exorcism I have read, heard and witnessed done by Muslim scholars all over the world are on Muslims. I don't however know whether the procedure will be same if the possessed is a non-Muslim. But the question that easily arises is: Will a Christian's belief, which departs markedly from the belief requirement that Allah is the only source of help, sufficient for the efficacy of the exorcism? Or does he/she needs to be preached too and believe, with absolute conviction, that Allah is the only source of help, before exorcism can be carried out? I can't answer this question, but I can find out. However, Allah is so merciful. A Christian, Kiwi, has independently narrated his story here, on how Ayatul Kursiyyu(Qur'an2:255), the most powerful verse in the Qur'an, helped him to chase away a jinn that was disturbing him in his household in UK. He had sought help in other places, but found a permanent solution in this wonder verse after an internet research. Abuzola, Babs et al may add more. |

keni:I will PM you now. |
No problems. All the best. |
Is this an old news or what? I don't understand o. |
Dr Kitaun:Good talk Dr. Kit. Eto'o had been around before Ronaldinho, and today after Ronnie, Eto'o is still up there with the best. Eto'o deserves some respect. |
honeric01:Yes, FIFA's new rule means he can play for Nigeria. But is he ready to play for Nigeria? |
eboweme:Good contribution there. |
And we would ave problem in 2011 if we do not remove the yoruba, edo, delta and bayelsa state from nigeria. This is the only solution, whenyou do this obama would come to nigeria, take my word for it. i know what i am saying.Another masterclass from BCR's bag of humour. |
I hope soludo will not go about wearing that his trademark bankers suit and Tie. Because if Bakassi boys grab that tie for im neck, na heaven he go meet himself oh. ![]() |
dayokanu: Daaayoooo . . , you and this your Germany(Bundesliga) Vs England(EPL) thing . . . . ![]() |
The match against Carthage Eagles in Rades is no doubt the decider of who eventually goes to SA. I'm somehow confident that Eagles will carry the day, but it's going to be tough no doubt. Kanu remains our joker. I hope Amodu will introduce him as early as 46th minute. I want to see this team: . . . . . . . . . . .Enyeama. . . . . . . . . . . . . Apam. . . .Yobo. . . .Adeleye. . . . . . Taiwo . . . . . . . . . . . . Olofinjana . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Kalu Uche. . . . . . . . Mikel . . . . . . Osaze. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Ike Uche . . . . . . . . . . . Utaka . . . . . . . . . . . . . I know a lot of people will disagree with my putting Utaka at Top-striker, but I'm somehow not convinced with the ability of all the Akpalas and Eneramos of this world. If Utaka is not delivering, then Nsofor may replace him. Of course, by second half, depending on the trend of the game, Kanu can come in for either Mikel or Kalu Uche, whoever is not performing or if both are having fine game, Olofinjana should be replaced and Mikel goes to '4' and formation changed to 4-2-1-3. |
I think too much issue is being made out of this Obama not visiting Nigeria thing. He has his origin in Kenya but did not include Kenya in his list of to-visit countries. South Africa has equal, if not greater standing in international community than Nigeria, I did not see SA in his list. So what's the fuss about not visiting Nigeria? I understand it sends a message, but I think the whole issue is overblown. |
I remember reading this few months ago from ,I think, Sahara reporters. I thought it was cooked up to discredit him as one of Obj's boys. While I acknowledge Soludo's right to seek political/elective post, I will not advise him to do so in Nigeria's current settings except he wants to soil his image. I will advise him to go back to teh classroom or resume international financial consultancy. |
youngies:Yes, Egypt, like Naija, are also struggling in qualifiers and cannot be said to be in best form, but just as Nigeria summarily came out of their slumber to beat France, Egypt also came out of their 'off-form' to give the Brazilians a run for their money. |
asha 80:Some people say because of culture. Some say they are contented with the Al-ahlys, Zamaleks and the Ismailis. Some say they are earning satisfactory wages in their laegue, and hardly think of looking out. Nobody seems to know which of the arguments is true. |
I think those that argued with us and dismissed Aboutreika as local champion in the AFRICAN PLAYER OF THE YEAR thread on NL earlier this year have now seen that the guy can stand his own among the world's best. The guy is too much. See how he's dictating the pace among the almighty Brazil in a competitive game. |
We have been chanting Eto'o since Sydney 2000 and he is still relevant now! that should tell you somethingI also wonder o. Eto'o has been the only recurring name in 'World's Best Strikers' arguments since 2004. In 2004-2006, the argument was Eto'o Vs Shevchenko Vs Henry, who's world's best?. Later he was compared with the likes of Toni, Drogba on same subject, and now with Villa and Torres. That is what is called consistency. |
dominique:and me too o |
Much as I personally don't fancy bank work, I wonder what unemployment situation would have been in Nigeria without banks, and indeed financial system in general. I just wonder. Maybe we will have graduate cleaners or even graduate agberos. This sector is the largest absorber of labour in Nigeria. And their pay is not bad. It is therefore only natural that everybody wants to join this system, at least that is where hope seems to be. On the oil company stuff, this is more of wishful thinking and for most people, it doesn't go beyond talk. In school, everybody wanted to work in 'oyel' company simply because that is the highest paying sector. But the reality is, unlike banks, getting jobs in oil companies is very competitive and not as easy as people dream. On working in government office you mentioned, this is quite strange to me. In fact, what I do hear is that people run away from government establishments except of course organized and high paying ones like CBN, NNPC,DPR etc. And on the self-employment thing, much as I agree that self-employment is no doubt the best form of employment, I think self-employemnt argument is way oversimplified. The earlier poster that said he resigned to start his own business belittled the part that he had worked under somebody, rising to the position of BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. Of course, the capital he's using to start his business were gotten from working for another person. So, expecting a fresh graduate to start his own business, even if he is ideas personified, is not as easy as the self-employment advocates amke us believe. I'm not saying it's not possible. Afterall, the likes of Dangote did it, but it involves uncommon risk-seeking mind in addition to the primary constraint of capital. My own idea is: Work with/for others for sometime while have mindset to establish your own later, accumulate something, then take the decisive pull-out. |
Or Haruna Ilerika to come out of his grave ![]() |
JJYOU:abiioooo. . .same story everytime. @DajoneZ I agree with you that desperation truly blinds. But if the eyes go blind, is the sense also going insane. It's very serious o. |
Hmmmnnnn. . .not a bad wite-up. Another side to the story. |
When will Nigerians learn lesson? I'm still struggling to understand why some people go to this extent in search of money? This is not poverty please, it is sheer greed. This thing occurs every now and then, but people won't desist. The probability of a ruptured oil pipeline later going on in flames is 1, because I have never heard of a case that did not eventually result in fire and killing people, but people continue to do this. Are we goats? |
This should be in Culture section, I think. |
Is 'Islam for Muslims' section the only section on NL? |
