sleek29:
The muslim guy wasnt obviously following the teachings of his religion as he was helping an infidel
Nope. There is nothing wrong in helping a non-Muslim. In fact, there was an incident during the time of Prophet Muhammad(SAW) that a Muslim and a Jew had a misunderstanding, and the matter was taken to the Prophet himself(SAW). The prophet judged the Jew right and the Muslim wrong. The jew was taken aback and can't believe the leader of the Muslims can pass a judgment in his favour over a Muslim. He later became a Muslim.
This is one thing we are taught in Islam. Never be partial, even if it means being fair will mean a non-Muslim will gain and a Muslim will suffer.
The only thing that is unacceptable is to support/aid non-Muslims in the fight against Islam.

P:S

Since you insist to hear: the problem is one way or the other relates this very forum--Islamic board. But the Mod Jarus prepares to contact me via PM. And I didn't know unless yesterday that members cannot send PMs or reply to one. I looked for whatever trick to use in the book to respond but in vain. Hence I summed it up and decided to use this thread for calling his attention to that.

Moreover, if not because he too objects to open the issue, as I fathom, I would have let everyone know it.

On a serious note, bud, behave your age. I most certainly know you are older than me. I don't like calling one with names as I despise being called. Yet I have to reply in the kind one replied to me.

Although I sheath my sword, but I won't delete neither refrain my above response(s). It's up to the Mod to either leave or erase it (them).

Thanks for your understanding.

Muhsin
And to open it: I PMed him asking him why he suddenly became MUHSEEN, and not having facility to reply, he replied on open forum and asked that his reply be deleted after exchanging contact details.

So is that what you wanted to hear? At least you've succeeded in knowing what we wanted to discuss privately.

Frizy:
We have to be truthful with ourselves brother, we don't have to ask our Imams about this, many Muslims in Nigeria have an uncosy relationship between Islam and Western Education. I mean the very traditional Muslims, the result is that they withdraw from an active participation that should help to improve Muslims in terms of technological advancement. And the so called Westernized Muslims, many of them have gone so far as regarding the Islamic fundamental practices obsolete.
There is no good between these two extremes, we have to start to formulate how to be well eductaed in fields of science to challenge the dormiant power, and these education would need to be deeply rooted in our Islamic belief-- that's the way forward.

Very funny, some guys are mentioning their parent names and govn'rs while the poster put clause 'your role model in corperate organisation' well, as for me i go for GURU HIMSELF guess who? hhmm is nobody but MR JIM OVIA of the great bank in naija. I also go for my able and disciplined GM-IT dept of zenithbank, my BOSS ohimai.we guys in the dept loves u so much. HE thought many things in IT FIELD. HE made us to be relevant and recognised any where we go.though via lots of pressure and stress thats why zenithbank IT dept standout among its rivals from other institution.NO be MOUTH, THATS MINE OOOO . SAY UR OWN DONT BEEF MY BOSSES AND MY ORG.
Bros, when we talk of 'The Guru' in corporate Nigeria today, only one person has been 'licensed' to answer; MIKE ADENUGA!
When you asked us to guess who the guru was, I expected to see MIKE. If Jim himself is asked who the guru is, he will tell you Mike Adenuga.

Mike Adenuga is officially 'The Guru' and 'The Bull' of corporate Nigeria, and to me, he's the most fearless risk taker in Nigerian economy.

Teacher: Where are you going?
Student: I am going to Mary's house
Teacher: What happened to her?
Student: She shick
From that day we used to call the lady 'she shick'. It happened when we were in Junior secondary school.

Others:
Brother Jarus, help me lo my cloth. My three-year-old younger sister was telling me, when she meant, help me iron my cloth. NB: Iron means 'Lo' in Yoruba

Two boys were fighting and they were taken to a teacher.
Teacher: Why were fighting with him (referring to the first student)
Student: He chop my mouth. The guy meant 'He bit me'. It happened in our secondary school.

I'm also shocked at Sagamite's list. Kaka was phenomenal in this tournament. He carried the Brazilian team like Zidane did for France in 2006. In fact, so impressive was he in this tournament, that I'm beginning to think he will give Messi a run for his money in the 2009 WPOY award. He was obviously outstanding.

Xavi and Pienaar were just distributing like no man's business, albeit Pienaar to Katsina United standard strikers.
This is very funny.  grin

@Muhseen,
I have noted your email. I'll contact you insha Allah.

@Noetic,
Interfere not in what you know not. I had earlier PMed him asking him something private, and he only sent me his email address so that we can discuss more. He used this thread because this was where he felt I can easily get it, and he asked me to delete after reading. Your guess was therefore wrong. I was the one that wanted to confirm something from him, and it's strictly personal between us.
So learn to mind your business pls.

Why do we still have jobless muslims Since Allah is the giver of jobs. Does he not love his servants? huh[/quote]Because He did not will it for them, possibly due to:
-not having job is better for them e.g having job could make them lose their Islam(and ultimately Hereafter), which is worse than not having job in the transient world
-to test their patience, and reward them with something better, if they pass

@Dlan,
The poem is in no way representative of Islamic belief. In fact,other than the fisrt line, virtually all that was mentioned there run contrary to Islam. It was obviously a product of imitation of Christianity the prophet predicted

And thank God, even before you came, Muslims like Abuzola and Olabs have shown the poem its place.

@Virgo,
Whoever wrote the poem needs an aqeedah(creed) cleansing.

Welcomers,
It's not being easy here o. There is serious fire on the mountain.
Yesterday was a bad day in the company, as the Group olori-oko released mail showing virtually all the top management staff in my subsidiary the way out, in what will be remembered as a shock of the year. Work practically stopped as all of us non-mgt staff were clustered in groups discussing the massive sack. It was very shocking.
Here are people I had thought were untouchable, people that wielded so much power.Na wa o, so oga pass oga. I now reason with people that say there is nothing like owning your business, being your own boss.

The effect has started telling on us their boys already. The surviving managers, among which was my direct boss, are now unusually tough on us. The rule now is zero tolerance for even inevitable mistakes. Everybody wants to save his head.

Fingers crossed.

Being somebody that hardly watch anything on TV other than football, I have not been opportuned to listen to the 'master of bombast' speak. I didn't listen to all the AIT, NTA interviews. I first heard about him on NL here last year, and a couple of months ago, I read about him in Thisday, where his bombastic style of speaking was brought into focus.

Since then, I have been longing to hear him speak. The guy is just too funny.

@Neotic,
Pls and pls, temporary marriage has no basis in Islam. It is totally alien to Islamic teachings and culture.

I learnt some Shiia groups do/preach it. This is total ignorance. Stop using this as a basis for discussing islam, because it is not and never part of Islam in the first place.
Go and meet the Shiia that reportedly approve it, and these people are not Muslims anyway.
