Enireqx20:My contacts say anything from next week. It gives a strong indication that it could start rolling in next week but it doesn't necessarily mean it cannot be longer. Things happen. |
darkelf:When we talked before the WC, some people here said we were not patriotic. Although they surpassed my expectation in WC sha. We were only 5 minutes away from making it to second round at the expense of Messi's Argentina. I never expected we would be that close. |
Icon4s:Exactly. Not bd either way. Semi is actually enough achievement in my view. |
MobilityExpress:No wonder. Thought it was because of the rough area used it. |
DPR recruitment ended in October 2018 and many people got job from the opn recruitment. How does this poster that was discouraging people when the process started feel now? |
BascoVanVeli:Between 1980 and 2013, Nigeria failed to make the top 4 only twice. We should have gone past top 8. For me, anything below semis is a failure. I don't care that there are now 24 teams competing. |
Udo Utin #91 is Nigerian. Just signed by Maccabi Haifa from Enyimba. |
Despite it happening in Kano, I was almost sure it wasn't going to be a Hausa Muslim person. |

Sold mine fee weeks back after usage for about 3 years (bought in 2016). A decent car although water in my area did not allow me to enjoy it well (I have switched back to SUV). The problems I had were: - Had an intractable issue that I dont know whether it was an electrical issue or battery terminal issue. After like 3 hours of parking, you get there and the car will refuse to start (like a weak battery) despite buying new powerfull 100 amps battery twice. I didn't know what was killing the battery. Different rewires couldn't resolve it. I had to be removing battery terminal anytime I wanted to park it for long. After many trial and error solutions, one rewire was able to fix it. The problem lasted for almost a year. 2, The car "drowned" in water in the first few days of using it (my area is Ajah). Unfortunately, the fuel filter was damaged. But my mechanic, a roadside mechanic, did not know where the fuel filter was. Anytime it started problem of not moving, which is symptomatic of poor fuel supply, the mechanic was changing fuel pump which solved the problem temporarily. So we were chaving fuel pump almost every 3 weeks for more than 1 year. t was later that he realized that the problem was fuel filter. That was changed and the issue stopped. 3, There is another issue that usually arose anytime the underbelly of the car hit a hard surface (anytime I drove it to a rough area - I can be a rough driver too). 4, I parked it for a long time (like 2 months) and attempted traveling with it after servicing it and returning it work. It started overheating, damaged gasket and engine oil was leaking. Engine knocked. Got another engine for over 300k. Engine was fixed but car started jerking after few kilometers of driving. Spent another 100k on fixing that. Attempted selling the car but couldn't get a buyer for like 2 months (people usually afraid to buy such models of cars unlike Toyota, Honda etc) before finally selling through cars45 people. Some of the issuee could be because of my area (waterlogged area). It was a problematic car but it could be because of the area I used it. I enjoyed the respect it commanded sha.

jackals:LOL @ biscuit and candy. Thanks for liking my book. Due for review sef. Published it 5 years ago. |
Danielnino00:Tanzania may be tough to beat too. The best black footballer in Belgium (Ebony Award) this past season was won by ther striker, Samatta. Meanwhile, Belgium reminds me of Imoh Ezekiel, where is that guy now sef? |
Saimeritus:fortnight. |
By the way, spoke yesterday with my friend, a supervisor in NNPC, on when NNPC will invite for interview. He didn't have an answer but promised to check with his HR and get back to me. He got back today to say interview invites are likely to be sent out from the upper week Monday. |
So there is a separate cemetery for luxury cars? Even in death, luxury and regular cars don't mix. |
iSlayer:Oh, ok. |
chrisooblog:A professional journalist will not use falsehood as bait. 50 kobo bloggers do. There are ways to create clickbait without misleading people. Clickbait is about exaggerating, not falsehood. |
jihday:That's wrong even by rule of sensationalizing article. You need to differentiate my quoted statement from my direct statement right from title. You can still sensationalize with true picture of things. Something like: "Rohr says Iheanacho does not even call" - Manu Garba. |
jihday:And Nigeria vs Spain too in Confeds 2013. Nigeria had a good game (arguably Mikel's best game in SE in my view), but we still chop 3. |
iSlayer:Rohr actually used it several times in the qualifiers or friendlies before the 2018 WC. |
TheGoodJoe:I am a blogger, and very close to the media as well, that title is very misleading. It was not Manu Garba that was what was attributed to him in the title. But I think it was a mistake from a careless journalist. |
NNPC CSR or project team who dont know anything about this recruitment are in a village to probably carry out a routine project, informed the village's traditional ruler of their presence as homage as any government team in a village will do, the traditional ruler informed his brother. And someone here is thinking NNPC will travel all to his village to confirm he is from that village. How does that make sense to a primary school pupil? And someone is also believing. The reasoning here is alarming! It's not funny. |
TheGoodJoe:I agree what Iheanacho needs is support and encouragement, not widespread vilification as we have seen in the past few days. After all, there was a time he was the one scoring almost all goals scored by the SE. After all, having 8 goals for the national team at just 22 is not a bad achievement. Until recently, Ighalo had poorer goal return for the SE. Iheanacho deserves some appreciation. But should that be a reason to take him to AFCON? No. Football is about form and attitude. I don't think there is any "dark sinister" against him - NFF, media etc. We all see what he plays both at club and country in the last 2 years. This is not about any conspiracy against him. Even on Nairaland here, the day the 25 man provisional list was out and was put on NL front page, most commenters queried the inclusion of Iheanacho. You can't say media or NFF or coach is behind that. It was glaring to everybody. But I agree Nigerian football commentators were too harsh on him. We forgot he was until recently Nigeria's goal machine. |
darkelf:Ndidi made headlines o |
Orlayinkahh:Dont fall for a scammer. |
jihday:I also fear for our goalkeeping department. |
kuuljay:There is no country that knows exactly the number of people living there. It is just an approximation. But I agree there is a problem with Nigeria's reported population. I don't believe we are up to 180m. Every state rigs their census to get good allocation and at the end of the day you have an aggregate population that is overstated. |
ExAngel007:Twice or almost ten times? |
andrew444:Everton's Iddrissa Gueye is not far off. Cheikou Kouyate of Crystal Palace too |
Truidstar:This is AFCON, not World Cup. Egypt won 3 consecutive times, were away for a couple of editions and came back to get to final. It's either Egypt don't qualify or they go very far. Egypt will easily get to semis in this tournament. I have not even talked of home advantage in a country that is arguably Africa's most football crazy, a country where 1 million people voted for Salah in their presidential election without being on ballot - they are that crazy about football. If you are playing against such team in their home, you know what their fans can do. |
Danielnino00:Yes, ask CIV and Ghana in previous editions. Zambia won with a first 11 that will not even make the 23 man squad of CIV, Ghana and even Nigeria. |
