Point B ^^^ It probably isn't then . |
I greet all of una! Brothers and sisters, good evening!!! ![]() |
^^^ Egbon, leave them alone. Let the past pass away. Happy birthday Ojukwu! |
Point B, I can see that you are back with your games. Goodluck! |
Is this source true Shocking, to say the least! Btw, isn't Nl meant to be an anonymous forum. How did "channels" know the Reno maybe/may not be Beaf?! |
Gov Sylva should stick to his party. All this Nigerians party paraposim! |
Beaf, isn't Edo state Oil producing? ![]() Even 2 senatorial districts in Anambra and one in Awka-Ibom were won by ACN members. I don't get this idea of you saying "they"(who are the they, btw?) want to add an "oil producing state" to their party. Its too simplistic. Or are you implying that these people (Edos, Anambrains and Awka-Ibom citizens) are "paying" due to, god knows where? I don't get it. |
Well done GEJ!!! We dey enjoy your regime jare! ![]() |
They should be allowed, who are we to judge. |
^^^ He who has not sinned should case the first stone (John 8:7) |
This is amazing! |
This is just so funny!!! . We need Uhrobo state, Itsekiri state, Isoko state, Ijaw state, Anioma state and Ilaje state in Delta, NOW!!! . In Nigeria, we'll ed up with over 100 states.Even Edwin Clark?! Well, I'm not surprised. ![]() |
^^^ Are you sure you want to get into this? ![]() |
ekt_bear:I am basically for having good debts. |
asha 80:Wise words! Not that I'm against it but a united Nigeria with completely (at least 99% of the decision) independent regions has much more benefits than, lets say, the SS breaking away on her own. Because of the size, I see these oyibos coming in to simply take advantage of us by stroking ethnic tension. Now imagine a region with Edos, Itsekiris, Ijaws, Ilajes, Aniomas, Ikwerris, Ogonis, Ibibios, Efik etc --basically, Nigeria part two but much more worse. Hope you see my POV. |
Its like the PH ikwerris. If Nigeria is one, they are SS. Once there is a split, its 120% certain that they will join the SE. |
As far as Nigeria is "ONE", Itsekiris are NOT joining the SW. In case of a total split, then things will change. |
ekt_bear:Forget Kaduna for now. The highlighted part is what is important for now till we find a more suitable system for us in Nigeria. |
asha 80:This was discussed earlier this year when we talked about independent region (like your post you posted "+1" to on the other thread). You'll notice that we talked about the pros and cons to such an arrangement such as the temptation for the richest region to break away. Anyway, pros vastly out-weigh the cons. |
Beaf:https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-793686.0.html Your opinion is needed. |
Beaf:But even the cosmetic work is important, isn't it? To continuously be attractive to international investor, I think the "cosmetic and tree planting" work is equally important. The first experience of most foreign have about Nigeria is in Lagos and probably Abuja. Personally, I think its sustainable, after all, the debt is not that high. USA has trillions of debt to China, yet, its still the place to be in the world. The highlighted reminds me of a saying from a famous mathematician when he solved a problem, " When you can't crack a nut, its sometimes better to leave the nut for days, it'll crack itself". Not every project must be to generate direct income, sometimes its better to build secondary projects and later reap its reward indirect. In fact such projects might have chain effects, boosting your primary projects to generate more income. |
asha 80:I assume you are referring to national policies and allocation of revenue. Even at that, it still makes "much" of a difference when we talk about elections, in Nigeria. Asha 80, Nigeria cannot last with this sort of injustice. You know it, I know it and the so-called high and mighty know it. |
SW PDP! Power to the He made a valid point on the last paragraph. No one can justify why some geopolitical-zones have 7 states, others 6 and 5. This is an example of gross injustice we practice in Nigeria. |
https://dailytimes.com.ng/sites/default/files/imagecache/400xY/44317619.S_IMG_3832.jpg The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), on Friday, commenced the Iddo-Ibadan-Ilorin route passenger express train. Speaking at a news conference in Ibadan, Rasheed Gbadamosi, the Railway District Manager (RDM), said that the journey was another milestone in the revival of the rail system in the country. According to him, the train which can carry 90 passengers in each of its six coaches, will run every Friday while the return journey from Ilorin–Iddo, Lagos, will be on Sundays. Gbadamosi said the corporation had earlier in the year commenced the weekly passenger train services from Iddo to Ibadan on Fridays and Ibadan to Lagos on Sundays. He said it had also commenced weekly haulage of 600 metric tonnes to Osogbo, adding that arrangements had been concluded to ensure an additional weekly haulage of 600 tonnes to Ilorin. On the security of passengers, the district manager said the NRC had put in place Railway District Police Officers and Man O’ War in all its districts. “I want to assure Nigerians that the NRC will not rest on its oars until full resumption of freight and passenger services are restored on all our routes throughout the length and breadth of the country,” Gbadamosi said. http://dailytimes.com.ng/article/nrc-commences-lagos-ibadan-ilorin-express-train |
I'll commend GEJ if this can be fully operational around the country. For now, GEJ, you tried! |

afam4eva:Likewise, you when you said Ekiti is most backward in the South without any evidence. I provided an hypothesis for my opinion why Ebonyi being the most backward, and I'm sure more will agree that my hypothesis is fairly accurate. Since its a hypothesis, you don't have to agree. Now, can you tell me the bases for your opinion of Ekiti being the most backward in the South or did you just make that comment to spite the Ekiti indigenes? Btw, there are a lot of Oyo peeps (even andre uweh schooled there) here as you can see on the thread "what you state contributes to Nigeria" same as Enugu (Ifyalways, Ink nerd*). Can you give me an example of an Ebonyi indigene on Nl? |
afam4eva:I am not talking in terms of population but enlightenment and development. For instance, we have less Northerners than Southerners on NL. The North is more back ward than the South, isn't it ![]() We have more Diasporans, Lagosians, Rivers, Anambra and Delteans on NL, than anyother niche of people, don't we?? Are they not more enlightened and live in a more developed setting, generally speaking? From this we can hypothesize that there is a direct positive relationship between the number of people in a niche (average) to how enlightened and developed the niche is. With that said, Ebonyi is more backward than Ekiti. Prove me wrong. |
afam4eva:Ekiti is more backward than Ebonyi This is new to me. How many Ebonyi indigenes do we have on NL compared to Ekiti? let's start from there. |
