Car Talk › Re: Bmw Owners Your Car Problem Is Solved by Jbleenk: 6:13am On Feb 03, 2019 |
Bighead9: Forget those guys. Mine is a 2002 3-series E46. The car has been with me for 5 years now. And what I've spent on the car so far, most so called Toyota owners must have spent over 3 times that amount in fixing their Toyota.
Parts are relatively cheap and they don't go bad easily. Since I bought mine, I only changed the break pad one's. All the parts readily available in the market and they are original.
I do Benin-Kaduna-Kano-Jos and back to Benin, about ten times in a year. The comfort and driving pleasure is second to none. I intend to upgrade to a E60 when I'm financially bouyant.
If you like the BMW, go for it. It will serve you well, provided you visit a BMW Mechanic workshop when you needed to fix anything. Against all negativity I bought it and my first trip with it was from Lagos to Ado Ekiti and I had no issue. Thanks bro. If u haven’t driven a bmw u haven’t driven a car |

Car Talk › I’m In A Dilemma: Bmw 3 Series Or Lexus IS 250, Which Is A Better Ride. Pix by Jbleenk(op): 4:23pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
I’ve own and driven a Bmw before (although not within the shores of Nigeria) I loved each and every seconds I spend driving it.
I haven’t experienced Lexus on the other hand but I’m sure it must be a great ride.
My dilemma
Every cells in me is longing for a Bmw, but I’ve been getting bad reviews about it being unreliable on Nigerian roads and how expensive maintenance could get plus no readily available mechanics with adequate experience blah blah blah but I still feel like going for it against all odds.
People have been asking me to go for the Lex for obvious reasons being not expensive to run and maintain and what have you.
For those that have experienced driving any of the wheeps in Nigeria, can you please set the record straight so I can make an informed decision.
Thanks.
Pix are just for illustration

oppre26: Fellow Bavarians, I have been a Registered member of Nairaland since 2010 and I stumbled upon this thread two days ago. I must give kudos to sexylogan for the initiative. It's good to have a discussion forum that's specific to us in Nigeria, climate, road conditions, fuel type etc rather than make estimations and deductions based on information gotten from from foreign threads eg: E90post, bimmerforums, etc which became a necessity for me to keep up with trends, issues and updates after I acquired a 2006 330i N52 Sport Package two months ago. My first encounter with German technology came in the form of a Volkswagen Golf Mk IV which I seriously babied by the way.... It's sturdiness, stability and general drive got me hooked! It had to be German or nothing else from then on! I have driven but not necessarily owned Japmobiles in the past and those of us on here who are like me, know that they are lifeless compared to even the basest of German Tech! Nuff said, it was time for the Golf to go and it gave way to a 2000 BMW 323i (Touring), which I saw and bought here on Nairaland through Cityhood.(Really nice fellow by the way!) Uboma might remember the car as I remember he seemed interested in it as well at the time. Now I was driving!!! I have cleared the doubts of many a Japmobile along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway and you know what, it's as if I was sitting in the comfort of my living room!!!! The car was a dream to drive. This was mid-2015 or thereabouts. As a side note, for those of us who reside in the north and know fully well the mentality of our northern brothers, it was unheard that they would touch anything other than a Honda. Do I have a witness? As I write this however, the E46 is selling like hot bread just coming out of the oven in the north! That says something doesn't it my fellow bimmer lovers? Moving on....I had many an adventure with my E46 but yet again it was time to let her go. If I thought I was driving when I had the E46, I was in for the surprise of my life when God decided to do his own thing and enable me acquire the E90. I sat down in her for the first time, slotted the key fob, put my foot on the brake and pressed the start button......it was music to my ears! The horses sprang to life and were waiting to be unleashed! Wow!! Its been pure joy since she came into my life men!! I get looks from the guys AND the babes. (Good thing I'm married) The new adventures and doubt clearing on the road so far are all stories for another day. I'm here and I ain't going nowhere. It's great to have a family who although I may not see, I know will always have my back if the need arises as far as my Bimmer is concerned. Here are a few pics of her and the aftermarket rear lights I have ordered for her. That's the only mod I'm carrying out for now as I'd like to keep her as stock as possible. Again, glad to be here. Bro can you please tell me your story about this car? I’m looking at getting one can see you’ve own this since 216. |

Health › Re: Help!!! Coughing For Up To Four Years Now by Jbleenk: 11:45am On Dec 05, 2018 |
mascot87: Good evening. Please I need help, I have being coughing for up to four years now and it isn't giving any sign that it will go any time some.
I have done all tests that could reveal what the problem is but till date, I haven't gotten any solution. The cough started January 4, 2015 and till now, it hasn't gone. I have also done HIV test inclusive of the tests I carried out and it's negative. I have used all drugs including traditional drugs. All recommended drugs I have used but no cure. My doctors are tired of me because 80% of my visit to the hospital is because of cough. I have being embarrassed severally due to this cough.
The only funny thing about this cough is that when I sleep at night, I will never cough throughout the night until I wake up in the morning. This has been the case for the past 4 years. Sometimes, after coughing for so long and I get tired, I just go to sleep and I will be fine. But once I wake up, it starts again.
Please anyone with valuable information on how I can get cure for this cough. I'm fed-up coughing for 4 years and still ongoing.
Please mod, help me push this to the front page. This is getting out of hand for me. I sincerely hope and pray it isn’t cancer. Besides if it is cancer I’m not sure it wouldn’t stay 4yrs without doing a severe and noticeable damage to your health. I’m sure you would have seek all medical services there is before coming on here. Try get your drugs from boots. Their drugs is far better than most others but well expensive, too. Ps: are you a colonel in the Nig. Army? |
