Arrewa: now let me school you...
The electricity from a solar panel can be used to create heat to start a fire. A resistive heating element like a cigarette lighter, toaster or stove element could be used.
However, a photovoltaic solar panel is about 10–15% efficient. Using the solar heat directly through a magnifying lens is much smaller, cheaper and efficient (more like 80%) depending on the surface being heated.
Now let me give u example...
PV panels can cause fires if installed improperly, just as anything electrical can, by creating a spark.
One dey even use Google to debate me...
Later Una go dey shout quota system up and down!!!
But na una be the real quota system products!! Dude, Do you know how many FULL-SIZE solar panels you will need to drive enough current through resistance wire to produce enough heat to cook? The worst part of it is, Solar energy doesn't BURN like a kerosene stove. Anyway, lemme assume I'm wrong, and you're right (you ain't!!!). I hope yiu will update us on the development of this "Aboki tech", including when it goes to mass production and where we can buy the cooker. Tenkiu. |

ScamHunter: Junk journalism. The way you all were silent when the killings went unabated in southern Kaduna and Benue. I'm sure it's still warming up in your region that's why you're now awake. What of the killings in the SE? How many did you report? All these brown envelope journalism. Finally, you guys aid and abate the evil going on in the land. Oga, the FG was also silent about those killings. It was up to whoever wished to mention it to the world. In the real world, nobody cries more than the bereaved. Why you expect a Yoruba to shout about Benue killings, for example, when Benue people themselves didn't step up to do it is beyond me. However, I expect the Yoruba to raise hell over the killings in their land, just as Benue, Southern Kaduna, Zamfara, Katsina and Nassarawa people should have done for theirs. Nigeria of today is "every man for himself". In case you didn't get the memo, some people are attacking everyone else in Nigeria. |

When Fashola was in Lagos and things were looking up, were people not being killed en masse in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa? Why would a Professor say such unfounded and silly rubbish? 1. Solve Lagos problems and all will automatically well in Nigeria. 2. As things are in Nigeria right now, so they are in Lagos. 3. Because Lagos is a microcosm of Nigerian society, if stuff goes well there, it will all over. Which one of these statements makes sense? Be truthful o. |

We will win this war as a nation.
God bless our gallant soldiers as they lay their lives on the line for peace to reign in our darling nation. Thank you sir, A picture speaks more than a thousand words! Dude. You make it look like civilians are not the ones feeding, clothing, paying and equipping the military. No military man was born in camouflage. Few have both parents as military personnel and none have all their friends, family, neighbours and so on as military people. Military depend on civilians as much as we depend on them, too. The day they begin respecting us is the day Nigeria's military begins the trek towards redemption. But for now, as long as they beat, slap and kill the same civilians feeding them, all they suffer will go unappreciated by most Nigerians. Fact! Meanwhile, keep making politics of the issue at hand. Na your way. Yet, we don't even know, maybe some people in the current ruling party actually formed these killer squads back then. Only the Almighty God knows the truth and He will reveal it in due time. |

Sterling is an Oil and Gas Company with Head Office in VI, not far from Cool FM.
I interviewed with them in 2019 for a transmission line project from Kwale to Asaba.
They are an Indian Company and they told me they are generating power in Kwale and wish to connect to the grid in Asaba.
I didn't accept their offer, though, so I can't provide more info on whether they officially floated a Genco that goes by that name.
I suggest you Google the so-called "Kwale Genco" to find out if Sterling actually created one.
It could be some evil people who did their homework so they could have some credibility. |
