In a country where corruption is punished by death. There's got to be progress like this na . In Nigeria where corruption is celebrated.......well...... We get what we deserve. |
SOPIGO:Den neva slap you because you carry iPhone and laptop before. |
kingxsamz:Nope. SARS men just visit them for regular "roger", smile and leave them to do more scams to raise money for the next "visit". No sense in killing the goose that lays the golden eggs y'know. |
They are profiteering from trouble. They are not the source of the trouble. Mr. Baru, first kill the spider and worry not about cobwebs. |
Not customised. |
Name wash. Stunt from the beginning. |
arcahmad:Hmmmmm..... Nice design. But heavy rainfall will be a huge challenge o. I would introduce a very slight slope and introduce high discharge pipes to remove water fast. The slope is to ensure even a little water does not stay on. |
bugativeron:Something like this: |
scholes0:Perhaps he means single-sloped roofs. Flat (horizontal) roofs will only work in the driest deserts. Not even in northern Nigeria. The trusses in a single-sloped roof are simple triangles and the king post (upright part of the triangle) can be as low as 1m to1.5m. Very economical on wood. The roofing sheets will not be cut since the roof plan is just a rectangle, so no waste of roofing materials. You will need to shade windows from sunlight though. Placing hoods above windows or having trees (eg those tall slim trees) in the compound can provide shade. |
Nna meeeeehhhnnnn!! See cake!! |
No you don't have a problem. I didn't have girlfriends or even have sex till I got married. I can assure you, it's really helping me as a husband and father cause I don't hangout, drink or chase skirts. When I'm not working, I'm with my wife and kids. If you have something you do that takes your time and energy (in my case, it was music, I'm a multi-instrumentist) that can explain it. |
FBIL:Very intellectual, your post. I'm not celebrating Bubu with my post, though. That's not found anywhere therein. All I'm saying is tread softly around an armed cop. If you can't understand that but choose instead to write a nice dissertation, then good luck with the cops. Just don't speak too much English to them, to avoid stories that touch. |
So he got killed. By a policeman. It's nothing new, but please, people, be very careful with policemen o! Even the friendly ones have screws loose in their brains. Ever since a cop smiled and waved us through a checkpoint and I later heard he shot a man dead less than an hour later, I realized its better to pray silently when at a checkpoint. A SARS man stopped us once in Ogun and said, "u chop alone". I quickly doled out cash because no amount is worth my life to my wife and kids, not to talk of my aged parents in the village. Make una do jeje with police o! Leave Human Rights for human beings turn animal if na wetin u go take survive be dat. Because if den accidentally discharge you, na for Nairaland den go post ur picture put. May God keep us. |
![]() With that name, no kidnapper dare near Hilda. She fit carry Shan dash dem sha o. Original Nollywood ladies. |
Misslagbaja:It's easy to not think about the man because we have not heard his own side of the story. Has he even been arrested? |
deebrain:Most women? Hmmmmm...... I'm sure your Mom and sisters are not among them. Mine, too! ![]() |
You lead from the front, headed in the same direction as your followers. So, pastors leading their kids to hell have to be hell-bound too. This is not necessarily the case. However, pastors do push their kids away as they seem to have other "spiritual shidrens" who are vibrant in church. Pastors need to understand that their parishioners are not their "children" in any way they may see it. Seriously, we are all brothers and sisters, all children of God. This way, fathers will face their children squarely. The Bible says we should not provoke our kids to anger. Service to God is not by compulsion. If you are a pastor, don't order your kids to church. Get them genuinely interested and born again. Forcing an unwilling child will only make him/her hate you. This topic might be a misnomer. The story is well taken, though. Merry Christmas, All! |
hardbody:Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison is Nigeria's number one federal prison. I still don't know how a couple of policemen can knock on Kirikiri's gate and push in a teenage girl without a court ruling. Even in Nigeria. Unless some warders are in kahoots with the cops and somehow just took in the girl and locked her up, just like that. |
hardbody:You have never heard of the Nigerian judicial system, abi? This system of ours, in which people spend more years in prison awaiting trial than the maximum sentence for their offence? These guys receiving executive pardon by state governors are mostly such people. In Nigeria, they tell them, "guy, you've been pardoned, go and thank your God". In saner climes, if found innocent, they are awarded and paid millions of dollars as reparations for wrongful incarceration. Take it from me. Nigeria's judicial system is wack! |
hardbody:She was never arraigned, yet she ended up in a federal prison. In your twisted little world, police can take a suspect to the prison gates, and the prisons officials will take him/her in to be locked up without arraignment or a ruling by a Judge. If, at your level of education, you do not know that a suspect is held in a POLICE CELL until arraignment after which he/she is remanded in prison for the rest of the trial process, then you, my learned friend, hold the record for stupidity. |
hardbody:My friend, Is it normal to be "awaiting trial" for six years? Is this not an indictment against the judicial system? You just insulted someone who has a better understanding of the issue than you do. |
jamesibor:I don't suffer from malaria. |
jamesibor:That's why they used bullet to do parting in Dora's gele some years back. |
You look good. Carry your brain with you to your husband's house o. No go stab am like your colleagues o. |
Wonderful. Stage set. Trump's foreign policy might not involve attack and occupation like typical US policy. All he needs to do is refuse to help. This withdrawal of obligations will not only harm America's opponents, it will make the country stronger. |
Hmmmmm...... It's scary, this Dangote thingy. At the rate he's going, he'll own everything on behalf of the coven of vampires he's representing. Then they'll proceed to suck the life out of hapless Nigerians.

I was almost orphaned the same way years back. A cousin brought yam flour from the village. It was meant for him to consume in school. He didn't eat it, so he left it for my family when he left on holidays. A couple of goats we had ate a bit of it and died. Both of them. I still shudder anytime I give the incident some deep thought. I was away in school when it happened, but all my folks were home. I would have been alone in the world had they eaten that stuff. |
Issokay. |
BankeSmalls:Always money! Let him get up and sign the cheque to buy the village naa. |
A young man...... Forty-four years old! Lived fast, lived rich and died young. In my language, we have what we call "Baba Olowo" (rich old man). There are lots of them in Yorubaland. Many of them have the benefit of time to contemplate their lives and dedicate their latter years to doing good. They build mosques, churches, help people. Their tenants don't know what expensive housing means because they are contented and rarely hike the rent on their houses and shops. No matter the money you may have, it's not worth dying young. Don't involve yourself in money rituals. Watch your health. Live to be a Baba Olowo, not envied, but loved and revered by all. This message is to all that would be rich any which way. |
Blackfyre:So angry traders can't even lynch a corrupt official in peace again? Naija na waa o! |
I may not have money right now. If I can make her squeal and jerk, well...... Lemme go and make money. Tí mo bá lówó ti kò lè werk, Wahala dey be dat o. |
