what's dis issue with militia and co, calling the poster ugly! girl, i think that the best way to handle this is to stop showing him that you find him interesting at all. stop giving him all that attention and stop showing your feelings about him. Simply act very distant from him and he'll suddenly begin to ask himslef what went wrong. we all want what we cant have atimes and that is the reason that the guys chase the most unwilling girls. however, they are also put off when they think that the girl feels she's the only buff girl around. better still, forget him! |
who are u then ![]() |
even Ghanaians doubt this story. see http://www.accra-mail.com/mailnews.asp?id=1501 |
this is just a silly rumor! Ghana is as infertile as the Arabian deserts. that country has been trying to compete with nigeria for a very long time. i first heard this rumor in late 2005 that oil was discovered there, then i read that it was only worth about $70,000 a day's export - meaning that it is not even going to be exportable becos even Ghanaian's need more than that a day. those people depend on us, Nigeria. OBJ use to give them tax-free oil which they do not need to repay for the first six months. i don't think that Yar'dua has continued doing the same and now i hear that they only now have electricity in Ghana for about 6hrs a day. I'm being honest here, there isn't any oil there in Ghana. they've got cocoa and gold and make so much noise about it. i thought they had they largest cocoa resources in Africa, but i apparently discovered that it is Ivory Coast that tops the list. The top of the list for gold too is south africa. As for Naija - we've got loads of resources that we don't even remember them cos everyone is rushing for the oil. what happened to the coal from enugu, cocoa and palm oil from abia, and other discovered (but abandoned) resources in Naija. why is everyone fighting for oil? we don't want an Iraq in Africa pls! |
for those of us who do not understand yoruba - what is the meaning of omo nile? where do they come from? |
congrats o. remember to give thanks to God. |
angel101 is 100% correct on this issue. i made the same suggestion in another post about Lagos. |
Quote: ''Onovo was said to have lost out in the last minute when powerful forces were said to have argued that giving such a sensitive position of the number one security organization to an Igbo man, could be dangerous''. What da hell is all this I don't understand what Ehindero said when he stated that he is ''not allowed'' to hand over to his deputy, Onovo. These people are just trying to be sure that they'll be secure from the exposure of their corrupt secrets, especially during the past elections. Ehindero is supposed to be prosecuted by the EFFC (where is that Ribadu sef) cos i'm sure that he has collected much more money than Tafa Balogun. I am an Ibo and it is a shame when there is so much tribalisms and bias made towards Ndigbos. We are supposed to be one Nigeria isn't it, so y then discriminate becos of culture. Mike Okiro is not really ibo in my opinion, and why should he be promoted to that position when the other Senior Police Officer could have taken the responsibility. |
we always expect that of course but i'm sure that no one is praying for such a farce at such an early stage. |
like mukina2 said, tribalism is not a good thing! We should not just support all these politican based on the biased view that that we may tribally related to them. it seems to me that OBJ is still our president from the shadows cos all his men are taking all the important positions in Govt. David Mark is his partner in crime and looting, now he has been made the senate president. And pls i hope that that thief from Plateau, Mantu, is not going to be seen around that Senate House anymore. ![]() |
i don't know why there is such a tense feeling about Mrs Etteh's appointment. Obj's administration (which is still in power, though in the shadows) have been doing very well in the empowerment of women. It has also promoted equal rihts and opportunities for both genders in Nigeria. Whether the woman is a beautician or not the fact remains that she has the experience and is a holder of school leaving certificate, which is what is required by our constitution. I am very proud of her and like other Nigerian women who have been given the chance to prove themselves in top positions (like Dora Akuyiliu, Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala, the former speaker of the House of Assembly in Ogun State (i don't remember her name now)) i think that Mrs Etteh would do well. All i want to know is, Is she the first Female Speaker of the House of Rep ![]() |
take a look at one of my posts. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=50218.msg1061753#msg1061753 PS: the guy was actually 34 when we met and i was 18 too. He is 37 now! A guy that age will take advantage of you and he would eventually become too possessive. |
isn't any1 going 2 advice them to get a HIV test first before even considering whether or not to continue with the relationship! ![]() |
that guy looks like my ex-boyfriend, honestly! but i didn't realize how ugly he was until i left him. |
do any of them go on luxurious buses like ABC, Chisco, etc. I wonder!!! ![]() |
isn't Nigeria supposed to be a democratic federation? so what's this issue about Soyinka bad-mouthing everyone. its his constitutional right. |
just becos we're use to having a 'ranting and raving' soldier- president as our country's leader for 8yrs does not mean that we have to expect every other president to have that same image. Yar'adua is brilliant and i think he is going to do a better job than he even did in Kastina. I just wish he could have contested on another political platform / party. |
@naijacutie; that's 1 scammer you've just caught on nairaland! |
as a christian i think that you should give it up. , just do it ok! |
@Vicjustice; whatever! i guess that you're the honest person in nairaland, isn't it! > ![]() |
i think i can give Beyonce a run for her money ( ?) with my thighs and legs. ![]() |
do we actually pay income tax in Nigeria. if we do then why do most people only get their Tax Clearance Certificate only when they want to hold an important political position. Some1 pls correct here if i'm wrong! ![]() |
i agree with u lot that think our policies are totally controlled by the federal govt. for the other lot saying that the fuel price should increase in accordance with the national market price; i think that you are wrong because the oil prices at home increases more frequently than the in the national oil market. its is a shame really cos we have oil as our largest natural resources but still Nigerians do not have access to it. as usaul, corruption is seen in the NNPC and the FG relating to this important issue. Loads of Nigerians are affected by the cost of living in the country already and this will make it an even larger burden. why not the FG increase the salaries of civil servants (obj refused already) instead? I think that Yar'dua will perform like he did in Katina. He's already showing Baba Iyabo that he is no fool and wont be dragged along to forcefully implement directives that will suit the PDP alone. ![]() |
never!!! |
@bebe2007; u r absolutely right. Lagos has got to be the dirtiest place that i have ever been too. The House of Assembly should just divide that state up into about 3 or 4 states. It is too rowdy and populated and everyone u see is just shitting on the streets . The thing that i dread most whenever i'm in Naija is seeing those open and filthy gutters and it doesn't help wen you have to cross over some of them to walk into almost any street in Lagos. I'm thinking of saving up enough cash to rent in Abuja when i finally decide to settle bck in Naija. |
i'm a UK size 12 but i'm 5 foot 9 inches tall. How much a person weighs should depend on the height too ( i strongly believe). i don't fancy anyone being anorexic so i advise ne4real just to exercise regularly (say 3 or 4 times a week) but DO NOT STARVE yourself. cut down on the portion of food that you eat especially if you tend to put on weight very quickly. i normally do a bit of calorie counting when i find that my weight blowing out of proportion. Drink a lot of water too and cut out all those fizzy drinks. don't waste your money on all those herbal concoction that people like Quincy and Ayodele mix up. Exercising is the best bet i promise u. |
it was on the news that there was a speculation that Tony Blair would take over from wolfortz when he steps down as British prime minister. Bush has confirmed this morning that he'd prefer an American citizen on the job, and as you already know, the US gets to make the important decision about the holder of the position. those saying that IWEALA was being considered are only spreading false rumors (though i'll be proud to see her on the job0 |
I definatley agree that GOD is the one to be ALWAYS trusted in such situations. i think that it happens to everyone one way or another, but some people are more affected than others. Just work very hard, trust the Lord, check your life style, and look at those around you. Some people are very instrumental to the downfall of others. |

What da hell is all this
David Mark is his partner in crime and looting, now he has been made the senate president. And pls i hope that that thief from Plateau, Mantu, is not going to be seen around that Senate House anymore.
