I will chastising myself if I weigh heavily on you if you don't vote tomorrow. Afterall, I missed the MN caucauses as well. Anyway, I am on my way to Madison (relocating in a few weeks), so I am more interested now in making sure we retain our action governor there. MN is a lost cause! lipsrsealed

People people . . . please please no tussling on this thread.

I am aware Joagbaje has used his full name in the past and posted links that lead to his identity . . . BUT he reserves the right to 1change his mind and 2request no one use his full/real name on the forum. This is perfectly within the forum rules.

I myself over the course of many yrs on NL have posted a link or two that has shown my real identity to the people I was talking with - that doesn't mean I want my real name used all over the section all the time. I kindly implore you all, kunle & my in-law, please respect his wishes in this regard. Thanks.

Joagbaje:
@jesoul
Thank you for your kind response on the thred by illuminati. I observe of late she has been following me about on Nairaland and getting personal with me. She is getting too personal and getting private. I will appreciate if this new thread of hers is deleted not just locked . I want to be adressed as joagbaje and I know she did that so that when my name is googled ,her rubbish will show it's either the title is changed or the thread deleted.

this is the link

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-886109.0.html

Thank you
No problem sir. I have instructed her to modify/remove your name from the title/posts (that will actually be better than deleting the thread in regards to search engines like google). If its not done in a little bit I will delete the thread from the section and ask the admin to remove it permanently.
Christianity EtcRe: Jesus Definitely Sold Some Stuff - Joagbaje Please Explain by JeSoul(f): 10:57pm On Mar 05, 2012
diluminati:
Hi Ma Jesoul, no one is attacking Pastor Joe here. I even addressed him accordingly as Pastor Joe Agbaje, the Joe for Joseph right? Thats who he is, so i'm not attacking his person.

But that is just by the way side, the more important part is for Him to explain to us how Jesus sold some stuff so we can put this matter to rest.
My sister, from my understanding, he simply wishes to be addressed as his user ID "Joagbaje" and not pastor ____ and I think that is a reasonable request & is within the forum rules. I think all of us will not be happy to have our real names being used openly. Can you kindly modify the title, and your posts that have his full name and use just his username? or else I will have to remove the topic. Thanks girl.

goshen360:
@ JeSoul,

As much as I respect your words and saying above and also read Joagbaje's comment to you (You know where am talking about). This is my personal contribution here to you and everyone.

Something is definitely at stake when Christians come out in the open in front of the whole world and say things in error or say heresy. Honestly, it goes a long way. Even if diluminati had not asked Joagbage to explain his statement, me and some others had confronted Joagbaje to explain to us from the scriptures where he came about Jesus definitely sold some stuffs. A simple statement from joagbage that he made such statement in error will definitely kill this thread. We are all human and we can still speak some things in error. He doesn't seems to agree he was properly addressed and yet, he sent you private mail. I do not have personal issues with him but our faith is at stake sir with such statement from Joagbaje.
My brother, let me first say I appreciate the way you've handled yourself in the forum of recent, very mature and respectful and I apreciate that a lot. As per the issue, its not about silencing the opposition or allowing 'heresy' to go unchalleneged. This is simply about keeping the discussions impersonal and leaving personal names, attacks or issues out of it. I am sure Joagbaje will be happy to answer your queries if you simply left his real name out of it.

Joagbaje didn't send me a private mail, its on the mod thread for all to see. I've been noticing people attacking him personally recently and that is against forum rules and is simply not in good taste. We can make our points with respect and maturity. Thanks again and stay blessed.

Christianity EtcRe: Jesus Definitely Sold Some Stuff - Joagbaje Please Explain by JeSoul(f): 9:52pm On Mar 05, 2012
Inasmuch as I (and many of you) don't necessarily agree with Joagbaje, please do not let this thread/topic denegerate into a personal attack on him or the thread will be locked (and assuming he chooses to participate self). As much as I don't agree with a lot of his ideaology I also don't appreciate the way many people have chosen to address/respond to him in this section.

We can all be respectful of each other regardless of our views. Thanks in advance.

FamilyRe: Would You Consider Your Spouse Your Best Friend? by JeSoul(f): 6:13pm On Mar 02, 2012
I can't imagine anyone else being my best friend but my husband. What I can tell my closest girlfriend is not even up to 10% of what I can share comfortably with my hubby. We talk, laugh, joke about practically anything & everything. From intimate 'female' issues to who scored the last goal on his Inter milan, from gossiping about the lady that just walked by with huge chests (lol) to dissecting the plot of our favorite TV series, from gleefully informing me when he gets home about the long time he spent in the men's room/toilet that afternoon (eewww! lol) to 'honey, you put too much pepper in the stew again' lol. No topic is off-limit or taboo . . . infact self na that one we dey talk pass cheesy lol. My hubby is my best buddy and always will be!

 All in all, communication lines must be way way more open between spouses than between anyone else.

Enigma:
@Jesoul

I've just been told off by 'you know who'; he says I was looking for the "stuff" that Jesus "definitely sold" in the wrong places!

That to make up: if we can find Jesus Himself "definitely selling" it at present, he would like to get you this: http://www.loveworldshop.com/product.php?id_product=38

The only problem is that Christ Embassy and Loveworld people will have to show us Jesus "definitely selling" it first.

Not that either me or 'you know who' is stingy ---- truthfully and honestly!

cool

^abeg leave MMW alone jor  cheesy

The only thing 'religious' about the topic is the presence of the bibles and it ends there. Nothing biblical or religious was addressed, but rather the coded terrorist message in it and the hypocrisy of Bin-Laden in having them in his possession (I read the entire thing, as you know I enjoy politics/foreign affairs). All the other variables are thoroughly & completely political in nature. Please show me where I'm getting this wrong sir. Thanks.

Christianity EtcRe: Between Goshen And Joeagbaje: Who Would You Listen To? by JeSoul(f): 5:26pm On Feb 28, 2012
^Good kweshion.
diluminati:
Its not a new thing that Goshen and Joeagbaje are on opposite divides regarding certain doctrines in the bible. Take a look at major topics on this board and read their views. These two are for now the most authoritative voice on christianity on this board, maybe till another one comes along. But their views differ on major issues in christianity and i know people read their comments to know which is right and wrong.
Erhmmm . . . having the loudest voice in the section does not make you the most 'authoritative' - it only makes you the most active poster.
Christianity EtcRe: Preachers And Pastors Receiving Monthly Salary For Preaching The Gospel. by JeSoul(f): 10:28pm On Feb 27, 2012
^hmm . . . haven't you kinda answered the question already?

goshen360:
13. Don’t you know that those who work in the temple get their food from the temple, and those who serve at the altar share in what is offered on the altar?
14. In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.[/b][/i]
As long as church funds are being discharged appropriately not only is there nothing wrong in paying pastors and other church employees, it is our obligation as the congregation to support them not only financially but spiritually and in other ways as well. Let us not let the abuse of this priviledge by some prevent us from doing what we ought to do.
FamilyRe: The Nuclear Family by JeSoul(f): 9:45pm On Feb 24, 2012
^lol. Yes.

The question is tricky . . . my husband will always be first in my heart and therefore will always get the biggest meat in the pot. After you have kids, they're your responsibility and you have to make sacrifices to take care of them. However, taking proper care of your children does not automatically mean you relegate your spouse to a lesser position behind them. You're one with your spouse - not your children.

So to answer your question - my husband takes priority by default, however in certain instances the welfare/wellbeing of the kids will have to considered first.
FamilyRe: The Nuclear Family by JeSoul(f): 5:46pm On Feb 24, 2012

FamilyRe: The Nuclear Family by JeSoul(f): 5:02pm On Feb 24, 2012
@OP and the other fellas,
 I'm just curious as to under what circumstances will a wife/husband be asked to choose between one or the kids?
Foreign AffairsRe: Violent Protest In Afghanistan Over Burning Of Koran by JeSoul(f): 4:09pm On Feb 24, 2012
The Afghans should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

Their country has been plagued by so many problems - corrupt leadership, rampant terrorism, social abuse, lack of infrastructure, drugs etc etc . . . yet they only take violently to the streets en masse when a book is mistakenly burned - a book which was being desecrated by the way by their own people when it was used as a means of terrorist communication - they did not get angry about that part.

Shameless people. The US should not even still be in that country self.
FamilyRe: Wedding Ring Palava by JeSoul(f): 3:56pm On Feb 24, 2012
moremi2008:
Perhaps we need a little bit more context to truly understand this situation. Some women are in really intense social situations where the wrong decision about something as symbolic as a ring can have devastating social consequences. I'll be fair to my ex by saying she had a pretty fancy group of friends and I knew exactly what the ring expectations were with that group. Our relationship did not advance to the level of seriously shopping for engagement rings but I knew I would have had to cough up the dough if the time came. Unless this guy is as sensitive as a rock, he should have known (or at least asked for) his wife's taste in rings before buying one. Rings are just too important and symbolic for that kind of fck up! Nobody should be ok with an unhappy bride!
I understand this completely and know exactly what its like to face that 'pressure' . . . and my response to her would be you're no longer in high school where you would be easily swayed by the childish materialistic whims of your 'girlfriends'. Now is the time to start learning to put your spouse's joy and happiness ahead of yours. Honor your spouse above all others. The same people that will oohh and aaahhh in front of you will be talking behind you no matter what. Women need to stop equating the size of the ring to the love of the man because it has no correlation whatsoever. Some men can afford it but choose not to spend so much money on just one item. Each couple should figure out what works for them and not bend to friends/society's pressures. In this way the guy was wrong for not at least trying to address his wife's displeasure with the ring. Both of them are to blame.

And trust me, it will not stop at just the rings. Next these 'friends' will be talking about the price and designer of the wedding dress, the wedding venue, the honeymoon location and then the kind of car he bought for you, the house you're living in, the clothes & jewelry you're wearing etc etc . . .

The woman did not necessarily need a new ring - she needs a new attitude and a new set of 'friends'.
FamilyRe: Wedding Ring Palava by JeSoul(f): 4:22pm On Feb 23, 2012
jennykadry:
I blame whoever joined them in holy matrimony
LOL.

@topic,
   I think the ring issue is merely a manisfestation of a bigger problem they both have. They are both wrong and neither is willing to compromise/sacrifice - that spells trouble.

moremi2008:
I kinda feel for the woman a little bit though. My ex used to laugh at women with tiny rocks or ugly rings. So I am guessing it's a big deal for women. Guys could care less what kind of wedding ring they wear! grin grin grin grin grin
Not all women. If my husband gave me a plastic ring I would still love & treasure it because it came from him. When he told me how much he spent I even told him it was too much self. I'm frequently appalled at the amount of money and importance people have put into something as inconsequential as 'the' ring. To me that money can be better used in so many other ways. A woman who laughs at what other women are wearing . . . that is so shallow & narrowminded its scary, and I'm glad she's your ex.
